Great to see ya back at it Fenton and what a great car to do it in. FWD has never been my thing but drove a hot Rabit in Up State NY for a while. Even for a SoCal 20 something with a heavy peddle foot I felt right at home driving in the snow. That made a strong impression.
So how does it do at Laguna with this setup?
last year on a k03 with similar aero and on 255/40/18 615ks i came out with a 1:43. the car as it sits now could probably get down to 136s/7s. i have had extremely bad luck with the car this year. gone through 3 transmissions. a turbo. a head gasket. so much shit. plus now with the diffuser, i either have to take it off and run an exhuast or wait for a 103 db day @laguna. last one i had in july car had a terrible misfire... and basically screwed the day. managed a 1:45 on my first session. that was about it... follow @hiapexgti to keep up with the car if u interested.
How did those tires feel? They seem reasonably priced for what they are.
I've seen this monster in person a few times. The car is absolutely bananas.

Change your fuel filter whenever you do a carbon cleaning. Makes the difference

@@EuropeanDreamz Many people lie mate. I wouldn't recommend at all doing 400 on stock internals even if it can be done. Getting power out of an mk5 aint that easy like videos say lol. many are likely to be making 400 at crank and pushing it and then saying they make 450. Also, even 450 is too much power for a fwd so I wouldn't imagine a gti on 550 at the wheels. Must be not so easy to daily a 500 hp gti. At least a manual.
@Devin Sure. The information is pretty much everywhere. It is also called commonsense. 500 at wheels? doubt it. You probably drive like a grandma cause to step on that car you gotta have your days counted. i assume your clutch is stock as well?

Is it a TFSI? Or a TSI?
Mk5 GTI’s are FSI engines
@@DirtiHo most of them, I have one an 07 6 speed... most of the 09 mk5s are TSI
@@Lowkey_DeAndre Towards the middle of 2008 is when the MKV went TSI, anything after including 2009 is all TSI, this guy has an 07, so it's all FSI goodness!
@@aaronaguirre3607 oh ok that means it’s the exact same as my car 07 6 speed FSI it’s alright mines been kind of a nightmare but after the carbon cleaning she’s been running great
