Scott honestly from the bottom of my heart thank you. You’re so awesome I wish one day I could have as many Flingsmash copies as you. Your videos have gotten me through so much. Thank you!
10:39 I used this! I was young enough when I was diagnosed with diabetes to have been given the Didget and the game. I still have the Didget, but I don't think I have the game anymore -- on account of returning it. Knock 'Em Downs: World Fair was... not engaging to me. I didn't play it more than twice, if that. Its first impression was a bog-standard kid's RPG -- naturally, it was meant to motivate kids to manage their diabetes -- whereas I preferred more engaging/challenging games even as a pre-teen. Maybe it got better mid-story if I'd actually bothered to make progress, but it just didn't hold my interest long enough for me to try. I'm notorious in my family for being forgetful, so it's telling that I found managing my diabetes more engaging than the game I was supposed to be putting my effort towards.
I worked at a Toys R Us when the DS hit its peak and there were some legit dope stylus packs that I unironically wanted to get but simply could not justify as I never was able to afford the DS they went with.
By far, the best use of the memory expansion pack is loading up a fully functional port of Quake 2 with touchscreen aiming on my R4. It adds exactly enough to the available RAM to run the game at full speed.
The DSi ALSO had video and voice chatting! If you went into the wifi rooms in the Gen 5 pokemon games you could voice chat with people in them and if you had a DSi you could EVEN use your camera to send a live video feed, honestly makes sense not many people knew about it I basically found out by accident
I have such fond memories of my pokewalker as a child. It was like the old school version of pokemon go. Mine ended up inside of the washing machine and breaking .
I had a stylus called the “comfort stylus” that had the same end as the original stylus but the body was rubber and wrapped around your thumb. Definitely helped with Metroid Prime Hunters.
Dear Scott, if you're still behind your editing, I applaud you. Everything looks insanely good. I'm still not sure how you manage to do it in just one week. Thank you for putting out the best videos out there.

dude same, it's gonna be 4 soon (i had the nintendogs SE lite, let someone borrow it and they lost it, then was given a DSi XL, and now have 2 DSi XLs because my sibling gave me hers. i'm gonna trade them both in, one for another SE lite, and the other for either a 3DS or 2DS)
edit: i have the SE i was wanting!! found one at a local flea market that i visit regularly :)
I have a pink DS lite, a blue DSi, a Black DSi XL, an Emerald topped 3DS that i loaned to a friend, a Midnight Blue 2DS, and a Red New 3DS XL
halfway there, i have my childhood ds lite and my new 3ds
I have at least 6- family of 5, plus the pretty galaxy one I had to have.

The amount of of accessories was insane. I remember seeing so many in my Toys R Us clearance section.

ha, ha, that' scott for ya
At least Scott has an Eyetoy to catch the robber.
This is strange, but I find comfort with scott the woz. Even when he's yelling or there's loud sounds, there's always a sense of safety when I watch him. Maybe it's because I watched him as a kid, but there's just something about the old videos that make me feel calmer.

I actually have a DS with a broken microphone, and use the external mike constantly
How?
@@fluttershyisbestpony3265 I don’t know, I put the motherboard in a new dsi and the microphone still didn’t work
this happened with my ndsixl and i just stuck a toothpick in the mic port, bent the wire pieces down(not up back into the console but away from it) and my nintendog started listening to me, that or you have a broken mic
Doesn’t Mike get tired of your shit?
Just play on an emulator, better graphics and you don't have to put up with the broken mic.
This is probably my favorite video of yours so far. Such a huge amount of nostalgia as well as a ton of new information about a handheld i spent far too much time playing
7:53 actually this would have worked in an alternative universe where the DSi had SDIO support. meaning a device could have been designed to send general data over the SD card slot using the SDIO protocol (such as button inputs)
When I first saw this video I immediately looked up whether it had SDIO support or not.

I weirdly miss seeing DS stylists kits being sold in stores.
In 2009, I got a Mario stylus from a vending machine. I tried using it on my iPad in 2010, but it didn’t respond.
@@JamesLawner I remember when the original 3DS came with a EXTENDABLE stylus and I fuckin lost my mind.

I had a stylus called the “comfort stylus” that had the same end as the original stylus but the body was rubber and wrapped around your thumb. Definitely helped with Metroid Prime Hunters.
