That had it all Steve. I saw Peaky Blinders, men with bells tied to thier shins and you Dad leading the singing 👍. Looking forward to your next camping video, Lederhosen an all 😂😂😂😂
Cheers Paul. I think that my Dad really enjoyed himself on that day out, which was good to see.🙂 I doubt that I'll get many views with this video, but that's not important, capturing old traditions on film was. I've started to edit last weeks camp, but I won't be publishing it until next Friday. Thanks for watching mate.👍
Interesting! Nice to see the men and women dancing together at 45mins thats a good tune, would've been tapping my feet like mad had I been there! I have family from Bacup and saw the Coconutters many years ago as a child.
Cheers Lesley. I think that it's great when you see mixed sexes dancing together at events like that. If it means that more people are happy and smiling, then I'm all for it.🙂 Thanks for watching.👍
Thanks for watching mate. The Cross Keys is a top pub. They do some really nice home cooked grub up there (with decent sized portions), and the people are very friendly.👍🙂
Nice vid. Got to love the old traditions, they need keeping alive, and beer was involved too so a win win all round. Great clip of your dad at the end!!
Thanks Stu. I don't expect that I'll get many views on this video, but that's not why I make videos. As you mentioned about the old traditions, capturing this on film was important to me.👍 I just hope that somebody who likes this stuff, and these days are unable to attend such events, gets some pleasure from watching.🙂
@Hengists_Wild_Camps I am exactly the same mate, quite a few of my subscribers are in exactly that position. They can no longer go hiking or camping or to watch these things and so do it through UA-cam.
Well that's something different my friend spending the day with the old man you are genuinely a nice fella defo would love too see you out around the peak district...I'm actually here at the peak district today and tomorrow with my mate camping at higher shelf stones then tomorrow kinder downfall or somewhere there abouts anyway be safe can't wait till nxt video 👍
Cheer Peter, and it's great to learn that you're currently outdoors.👍 I can imagine that from Higher Shelf Stones you walked across Featherbed Top, then up Ashop Head and onto Kinder? If so, then doesn't Featherbed Top seem much longer to walk than it appears on the map? It always does to me.🙂
Wonderful stuff. I used to go to the folk festivals in the 80s and i loved watching the morris dancing. Thanks for that.
Thanks for watching Janet, and also, for taking the time to post that lovely comment. I appreciate both.👍
I'm glad that you enjoyed it.🙂

Great video Steve, it was smashing seeing Benny making an appearance! Might just see you next week, who knows?
Cheers Phil, I didn't know that you knew Simon. He's a top bloke.🙂
I do hope that the planets align next week, and that you can make it.👍
@@Hengists_Wild_Camps it's Benny, I've camped with him a couple of times!
@@PhilWaud Let's get a joint camp sorted Phil. I'll let you sort the details out.🙂
@@Hengists_Wild_Camps that'd be sound!
@@PhilWaud Now that I know that you know him Phil, I may plant a camping seed and message him about it.🙂
