Freddie Starr (RIP), is brilliant in an "Audience with Freddie Starr", where he was let loose on British celebrities on television. A comedy genius.
Worth watching when he was let loose on Muhammad Ali. You don't expect Ali to look scared.. Freddie had no fear.
The man was an absolute genius.
REMEMBER WHEN HE THREW A BOX OF PRETEND LIVE GRUBS OVER THE AUDIENNCE OF CELEBRITIES, THAT STUCK IN THE WOMENS HAIR, AND HOW THEY SCREAMED.
RIP Freddy , such a unique comedian , saw him live many times up north uk
The brilliance of Freddie Starr, this version of Vincent , done totally live , totally rehearsed with his band , the man is a bloody genius hahaha
He was a legend, you should check him out with Elvis' band the Jordanaires, they said he was the closest to Elvis they had ever heard. R.I.P. Freddie
Freddie was a great singer and doing Elvis was outstand voice:)
I agree with all you said there Stuart. A legend we will never see the equal off. Even his coffin had Return to Sender carved on the side . ❤ Freddie Starr a true Star
Freddie Starr , genius and national treasure . R .I .P. 🇬🇧
The first comedian to make me belly laugh as a child. Remember it well. RIP Freddie
Me too! I loved him so much xx
On the rare occasion he was serious he actually had a really good voice
He released a Music CD
He really did have a gorgeous voice. Absolute legend. ❤🥰
he started as a singer,,,,
Freddie was a well known and accomplished singer before the comedy. Around Liverpool and even as far as Europe on the scene with the Beatles and that scene. Great singer , mimic a d the funniest comedy ever seen.A true Star, RIP Freddie Starr the Legend. ❤
He was a great singer
Man I miss this kind of TV show. Friday/Saturday night TV was great in the 80s/90s.
He was without peers, a true comedic genious...who was also the greatest Elvis Presley impersonator I've ever seen. R.I.P Freddie, they'll be rolling around up there.
He does a really good Elvis impersonation. Watch the clip with the Jordanaires and when he sings Unchained Melody 👌😂
That's a must watch
He was from my home city of Liverpool and was a singer throughout the 60's. Legend.
RIP Freddie Starr one of England's greatest stand-up comedians😢
This never gets old, it's from the '93 Royal Variety Performance. I first saw this years ago, well '93 actually 🙄 , with my Mum and we both near wet ourselves and gasping for air because we were both laughing so hard, I was on the floor writhing like Linda Blair in Exorcist! It's a good job too, as Mum had recorded it the night before, so one can imagine all the times it was paused and rewound, for missing bits out of laughing. Ahh wonderful memory and I still quite often view it, for a pick me up bit of fun and it still reduces me to dribbling glob of protoplasm on the floor, while I pause and zip back!
Rest well Freddie, he was massive in my childhood in the 80s and 90s.he had such a beautiful voice and such a off the wall type of comedy, you truly never knew what he was going to do next.
They don't make them like Freddie Starr anymore. Freddie made you laugh that hard you would think your pants would never dry. So sad he died alone in Spain but is now at rest with his family in Liverpool. RIP Freddie Starr you were unique.
The wild man of British comedy. Freddie was so so funny, what a great entertainer he was.
I’ve seen him doing the ‘Vincent’ routine before but I’ve got tears running down my face watching this.
Freddie sadly missed, a star ⭐️not only in name.
He was totally unique and as you saw, could make people laugh 'til it hurt with just a well timed pause.
I haven’t seen this clip in absolutely ages, he was very very funny sometimes. I love it when someone can make you think they’ve screwed up but it’s part of the act. You’re right, it’s Don McClean, and Freddie Starr was a big star in the 70’s.
Freddie Starr was born in Liverpool, England.
R.I.P. Freddie, you where one of the greats.
Never get tired of watching this....comic genius....
His impersonation of Mick Jagger is hilarious!
The reason everybody was laughing before he started was largely due to Freddy's unpredictability, nobody knew what he was about to do, but it was always really funny. He was prone to random hilarious attacks on talk show hosts and guests, audience members etc. Only a couple of the major show hosts were brave enough to have him their show. He always had me literally crying with laughter.
Exactly, it wasn’t if…. It was when is he going to do the outrageous unpredictable thing and you could feel the anxiety in the audience of chat shows. All sitting there saying please don’t let it be me!
Oh des O'connor used to cry with laughter with him. ❤
Freddie Starr was born in Liverpool here in the UK not only was he a legendary stand up comic from the late 60's to early 90's he was also a great singer and impressionist and sadly passed away aged 76 in 2019. There are many funny Freddie Starr videos out there especially one with Muhammad Ali you will love.
Freddie was an off the wall genius! Half the fun was never knowing what he'd do next!
A very talented man great comedian he actually had an amazing singing voice. Check out "An Audience With Freddie Starr" he did a couple of Elvis numbers with Elvis' backing group The Jardinaires.
He had a very sad ending.
In 2012 a number of celebreties were arrested and questioned about historical allegations of sexual assault against young girls. The investigation was named Operation Yew Tree. A small number of those arrested were charged and convicted. The majority were not prosecuted but for many months were vilified in the media. In Freddie's case he couldn't find work spent many thousands of pounds on lawyers. He died virtually penniless in an apartment in Spain. His body was repatriated to the UK by a funeral director who was a fan. Fans donated money to cover the costs and there was a large funeral in Liverpool and he was buried in the same grave as his mother.
he was brilliant so unpredictable and very underrated. RIP Freddie
Dear Freddie was one of England's greatest funniest comedians. He could impersonate anybody and always caused hysterics in the audience. No one was safe when Freddie was around, not even royalty. He scares the shit out of Muhammad Ali on one of our chat shows, and has fun with Elvis backing band The Jordanaires. They knew it was out of respect for Elvis. Freddie also does plenty of Hitler sketches. There's a lot of Freddie on you tube. He always made us cry with laughter.
One of Britain’s greatest ever comedians saw him many times was truly unique a one off, his summer shows were legendary
Gill from Scotland...how could anyone not like you two!!
Freddie was brilliant, saw him a few times, totally unpredictable!
That was why he wasn't on TV much because they couldn't control him
When he was serious he had a great voice
No hamsters were harmed in the making of this song.
Seeing you squirm with laughter like I did as a kid watching Freddies sped up vocal is a joy
Next you need to do Norman Colliers broken microphone
You should see Freddie Star scare the hell out of Muhammad Ali on the Parkinson show. Really funny.
We seen Freddie live some years back, front row and he took special attention of my wife, met him afterwards , he was a gentleman, look up him signing Elvis, he is very good
Freddie had a fantastic singing voice when he was not messing around. He even sang with Elvis Presley's backing singers the Jordanaires.
I was always memorised as a kid when freddie was on TV! Funny guy and a great singer!
Freddy Starr was one of the best you got to see more of him👍😁
I was blessed to have this extremely funny man on the TV in my childhood and formative yrs , I love your reactions to British comedy
He was a comedy genius.
There's a video of Freddy singing a duet with Shirley Bassey, well worth a watch!
Freddie Starr was absolutely huge.
I remember him from the late 70's and 80's. What a brilliant alternative comedian he was. R.I.P.
I miss Freddy, a hilarious comedy genius. RIP x
He had an amazing voice .. don't worry about about negatively their more nice people out there ..like you stuff...from Ireland ❤️
The Greatest comdians to ever walk this earth ever produced freddie starr
One of the best routine ever performed on to . Amazing talent . I saw him in blazers at Windsor and you just realise and can appreciate the work he put into his act . RIP FREDDIE.
My hero when I was a kid! Absolute legend ♥️🤘
Freddie Starr. A true legend of comedy.
So glad you reacted to this. So so funny!! True fact - Freddie had a superb voice and was offered a place in 'The Beatles' but turned it down as he already was part of a group.
One of the best, does Elvis presley absolutely fantastic. RIP Freddie
Listen to him sing DON'T with the Jordanaires, brings a tear to my eye everytime, as for Vincent by Don McClean the Lyrics in my opinion are the most beautiful ever written,
I agree, he had a voice when he wanted to use it! His Elvis impersonations are just great, hence why the real Jordanaires agreed to sing with him! Freddie was from Liverpool, England, and was the one of the very best!! Would to see more reviews of Freddie!
You guys are totally awesome 😂. I'm English and and our comedy over here is legendary. Anyway, thanks for your totally brilliant reaction. 😂l love watching your channel. Please forget those twats who criticise you, cos, end of the day, it's their loss if they haven't got a sense of humour 😅. Anyway, love you both Andy from the same place as you. Happy Town ❤❤😂❤
The fun of watching Freddie starr was sometimes trying to work out weather he would sing normally or like that speeded up and slowed down, him doing either was amazing. He used to be the comedian on a chat show called the des o Connor show in the 80's and he would have everyone in stitches. Such a great comedian and I feel so blessed I grew up being able to watch comedy like this. Actually when I think about it I would have loved to have seen Freddie starr doing this singing, and Les Dawson playing piano, as he used to play it in such a unique way. You must watch him to so funny. Yes I so miss these funny comedy legends.
I saw him live in the late 60s. he was a doorman in Blackpool his payment was a 3min spot very talented guy, Elvis said he was to only one that could impersonate him
Loved watching Brad laughing so much.😂
That was a rare laugh watching you two laughing at this, had me in stitches. Seen this clip many a time but was so refreshing watching it with you two .. happy days 🤟
Absolutely brilliant..he was a legend...miss you Freddy...r.i.p.❤❤❤
You must do more of the brilliant Freddie 👏 so much missed over her X.
There’s an older Freddie Starr version than that which is also very funny. Similarly hilarious with slightly different tweaks. Very much worth looking at as well.
I remember as a kid, having a good belly laugh every time Freddie was performing!
Freddie Starr will always be one of my all time favourite comedians, I grew up watching him and he never failed to make me laugh. R.I.P Freddie.
The man was pure genius.
Freddie was a not to be missed comedian , funny bones 🤣
One of the greatest moments of my childhood was watching him do this on the TV. I thought I would die laughing.
Freddie was a legend - an unpredictable one I'll grant you, but he was an immensely talented performer and was a very good singer ! Tv. companies got a bit afraid of him in the end. You never knew what he was going to do next !
There is also a comedian called Norman collier. He had a sketch which involved the use of a microphone. Very funny.
Love you guys
You should watch more Freddy star he was brilliant. I grew up watching him he died in 2019.
There is another version of this i think it was a royal variety show its way longer and has a lot more of the slowing down and speeding up. But you got the idea. He was a legend and a crazy genius and made me die laughing so many times. may he rest in peace.
Every time Freddie came on tv it kicked off. He was box office in the 80s. Brilliant to see it again.
Even though I knew what was coming, it still had me in stitches! I have come across witty, cerebral, slapstick comedies that have had me crying with laughter, but this particular act? Never have I experienced such pain of laughter as when watching this! Even now after all of these years, my ribs ache and my tear ducts may have dried out. If I’d have died of laughter (and believe me, there are times I thought I would) there would not have been any post mortem regret, if such were possible.
RIP Freddie!
Freddie on Parkinson telling a ghost story to Mohamed Ali amazing & funny !😂
hope yous liked that so funny ❤from Scotland
Freddie Starr was such a great comedian and he had a good voice when he decided to be serious. Check him out when he was on Parkinson with Mohammed Ali.
most people knew what was coming with Freddy SOMETHING BLOODY MANIC

he did a bloody good max wall impression very funny man one of the best a lot of his stuff was so out there they were never sure what he would do next watch him on DES O'connor's shows be was brilliant
The comedic genius and British legend that was Freddie Starr.unreplaceable.
I never eat or drink when I watch Freddie, and make sure I go to the toilet before hand because I laugh so hard, every time
Hey you two✌️not long woke up here in the UK, saw this notification and watched it first and now I'm so tired laughing I need to go to bed already 😂 what a way to wake up, brilliant reaction. Freddie was hilarious, he was so unpredictable always pis**** about with big celebrities always nervous around him😂No idea why anyone would post negative comments to you two? You two are great fun and make people smile so fk 'em. Brad, my Mrs is a nipple tweaker when I misbehave as well, ouch😲😂👍✌️🍻
Freddie Starr And The Jordanaires - Don't and Freddie Starr and the Jordanaires - The Girl of my Best Friend, look them up here on YT, incredible voice
thanks guys for showing that but there is so much more to him, a legend.
Benny Hill did similar routines in the 60's and 70's, the man was a comedic genius.
I watch you guys and it is like watching hubs and myself... it's so funny ❤🥰 we aren't the only weird peeps in the world ... keep being beautifully weird xxx 😘
I rebuilt a wall on Fred’s home in Windsor after a tree limb fell on one of the brick panels famously in the early hours of the morning after a big party he painted happy in massive letters on the wall outside I never met him but as a child growing up he was the funniest man on tv no question
I love watching you both. You are a beautiful couple and so funny.. ❤ xx..from the United Kingdom x
Thank you! ☺
👍😂🤣. I knew you'd enjoy this.
Try 'when freddy Starr met Muhammad Ali', comedy gold.

@@martindunstan8043 he started in groups in the sixties as a serious singer his band was The Midnighters
@@gazriley624 I didn't know that, he was clearly a very capable singer and I also never realised his career went that far back😲cheers👍
I saw him live once when I was young, he was fantastic
I am crying with laughter. Freddie has sadly gone now. RIP
Those old enough to remember that tabloid newspaper headline "Freddie Star Ate my Hamster" ........ should know the truth that I WAS that Hamster.
Was lovely to see you both laughing,I have seen this many times and still laugh as much as the first. B. UK
