whoever chopped those clips up is CLUELESS, the reaction is 60% of the joke.
When copyright is detected, UA-cam lets you click a button to cut out sections to make it pass.
I suspect this has been cut down over the years by that.
Although... never attribute to UA-cam tech that which can be adequately explained by bad editing.
I'm glad to see KB do it here but I agree it wasn't a good edit job by the original editor.
reactors & clippers are the laziest people on planet fat
I thought the edi...terrib...ma... unwatchable in parts
It's choppy otherwise UA-cam wouldn't have let it through, particularly as it's a BBC show, unfortunately.
Diane Morgan's delivery is just genius level!
In "Cunk on Life" she interviews Dr. Brian Cox... and that guy is always smiling... Philomena's questions made him drop his smile.
When she questioned him on Quantum McPhysics 😂
What about our souls? What does it mean for our souls?
Cox knew very well who she is and what she did.
Top class acting
@@Mrvad001quantum bacon 😂😂😂
the Bear Arms guy definetly knew what was happening and matched her energy.
I recommend Cunk on Britain for balance, as well.
When she does "My mate Paul" has me creased. I'm pretty certain 'Paul' is in fact Elon Musk.
Satirising Americans is like low hanging fruit, it's an obvious topic. Even more a satirising historian as they've based their identity on a particular way of viewing history.
@@joebloggs396 easy targets , no sense of humour or understanding of sarcasm , pathos ,inuendo ,3rd world country when it comes to Comedy = yet they spawned amazing writers !?
Cunk on Britain is just as ruthless to the British. There are some brilliant interviews.
@@joebloggs396she also did cunk on Britain
In the Uk we love the combination of stupidity and intelligence especially the interviews with the experts when Philomenia comes ouit with same amazing questions ....really stumps the experts....but keep watching especially when she decsribes the escapades of her friend Paul .....You will be bent double laughing
She has her own sitcom "MANDY" she is so underrated, such a funny lady
Mandy is amazing!!! Sooo bloody funny but I doubt many American's would understand it! Most Londoners as well to be honest!! 🤣
4:20 I think the British Red Coats were shot in their thousands because, as light entertainers from Butlins, they most likely sang Agadoo by Black Lace one too many times, and pissed the Americans off.
After visiting Butlins as a child , I’m with the Americans
Push Pineapple shake a Tree ( yer doin it wrong )
King's German Legion were hardly British
@@robothayes If they're fighting for us they're 'British' enough.
I love the people she's interviewing. You can tell the very moment their brain speaks to their inner voice saying, "this does not compute."
No bears were armed in the making of this video
Good to be reminded how funny Philomena Cunk is.
Wow - the editing on this is terrible! There must be better collections of Cunk available.
There definitely are.
Where is your video cuh? Weak azz commenting
Boomshakala @@Joedirt3349
True, but this was primarily for US so all the irony and subtlety was omitted !
@Joedirt3349 you stole your name from a 2001 David Spade movie.Don't talk about weak.
Brilliant character brilliantly played by Diane Morgan, important to give a shout out to Charlie Brooker too who created the character for his excellent 'Wipe' series, Charlie Brooker is someone you're not yet accustomed with (as far as I am aware?) but he's up there alongside Chris Morris as being one of our leading satirists, in fact Charlie and Chris actually created a sitcom together called 'Nathan Barley' which is absolutely hilarious and a true cult classic as it really did go under the radar, but it's fans like myself rate it as one of the great sitcoms of it's generation, I've mentioned it to you loads of times and recommended Charlie Brooker's Wipe series to your on Patreon too, basically if you love Chris Morris you'll also love Charlie Brooker.
Charlie Brooker also created the 'Black Mirror' series which I'm sure you must be aware of as it's so highly acclaimed and a Netflix show.
& in his early days-in bed with medinner(joke about madonna book)
I can remember, back in the day, when a teenage Charlie Brooker used to contribute a comic strip in the legendary Oink! comic.
I'd forgotten abut Nathan Barley - that was superb!
Chris Morris has done some brilliant things..Charlie Brooker too. Diane Morgan just winds people up with bizarre comments but can be funny.. 😂
KB Well done. You are the first American reactor the get the throwaway line that Americans then weren't the quiet unassuming people they still aren't today.
In Diane's Christmas special, she actually visited CERN and there were viewers writing in convinced that Professor Brian Cox was ready to punch her lights out. The fact that household names (in the UK anyway) are prepared to submit to her lunatic persona tells you a lot about how popular the show is.
Mate I've never seen your channel before, but that intro killed me lmaooo 🤣💀
I´ve see Philomena Cunk before, but these clips and Your spontaneous reactions made my day! Thank You!
holy cow what a spooky coincidence. i was totally thinking about asking you to react to Philomena Cunk for like the past week. i love her so much
Fill-a-meena. Brilliant. And your reaction to it is brilliant too. She is just fantastic. And all the interviewees, straight up. You can’t beat it.
I’ve been watching all the Cunks, she’s genius 😂
Philomena has zero tolerance for the theatre, its a running theme‼️😆😆😆😆♥️🇬🇧
she really delivered the burn straight in our hearts the almost painful way.
Should just watch all of the Charlie Brooker Wipes. I wish he was still doing the Yearly Wipes.
Lmao! Why have I never seen this? I need to find this!
On You Tube "History teacher reacts to Philomena Cunk". You get some commentary and education with it too. He loves her.
It’s all on iPlayer
2:17 Native Americans also had no immunity to bullets as well.
This is the sort of thing you'd hear on a BBC panel show.
Fantastic watching an American actually enjoying the silliness and "getting it"
I think sadly sometimes, the good folk of USA take themselves a tad serious.
She is definitely a brave Woman doing these interviews, bless her.. I wouldn't 🤣🤣🤣
This is good fun, keep it up buddy 👍
Superb! 😂😂😂 Please do the series Cunk on Britain. It's all killer, no filler. Only 7 eps.
That cleared up a few things that I'd misunderstood - like why Americans were allowed to arm bears.
I always have to give kudos to the guy talking about bear arms. Whenever I see that clip I think fair play for not missing a beat and just leaning into the conversation tangent. Not many manage it so well. 😆
You were all european immigrants! Maybe the guys who called themselves americans for already half a year, told the new arrived "two days"-americans to go west.
It is so funny, that the US calls their people related to good things "americans" and - the same people at the same time period - related to bad things "europeans"!
I noticed it many times by now. Especially with historical events in 18th and 19th century.
Have a good one! ✌🏻
That bloke wasn't fuming, was trying not to laugh. Good sport.
Nah, he was livid for sure... 😂
What a fun way to learn some history! First time I've seen this lady.
The American bloke knew it was a spoof and went along with it, so fair play to him
They ALL do, every interview in every show is set up for fun, you'd never get past the first question otherwise. They often re-shoot stuff as the 'experts' can't help laughing.
Cunk is great. The responses from the very real experts are part of the enjoyment though, so I don't know why they were cut off so much in this one.
Yeah, ❤please a full episode! I've seen Cunk on America and Cunk on the World! Super!
Dianne Morgan is absolutely fantastic. Especially when shown to humourless people who just can't understand the comedy.
Imagine being one of those first Europeans to travel across America. It must of felt like another planet so away from home and so big and vast no infrastructures the wild life.
11:40 Philomena Cunk is a well known character in Britain. So the experts in the later episodes knew very well what she was up to. Some actually went along with her line of humour and they're hilarious.
Did you know that the Royal Navy lowers the flag to half mast on George Washington's birthday? He was a British general for quite some time, after all.
Fill-o-meena. Gosh, what's the rush - agree with previous comment - the reaction is everything. You should watch some longer clips. Diane Morgan is hilarious.
she is basically Ali-G... and I love it!
Hey my King ! been waiting ages for you to do a bit of Cunk !! she is awesome
09:00 perfect Cunk deadpan.. I'm glad you caught that straight away.
A bear does have arms...LOL
She is a comedy legend or should be but it's exquisite having your own culture made fun of if not done with malice. I'm from the North of England and it was a comedy fashion for a while to mock the north (Harry Enfield for example) and I loved it.
As a Brit I’m glad you her humor , a complete misunderstanding of fact turned funny 👍👍😃😃
i love her version on the titanic where she calls it the titan 1c.
It’s Philomeeeena for starters 😂
That is a HEAVILY edited and Context-free clip of Cunk.... I do recommend watch her original (Cunk on Britain?
KING BOOMER, you need to watch all the responses from the people she's interviewed, they are gobsmacked so funny
I think Cunk on Shakespeare was my favourite. Hilarious.
The guy @11:20, you said was fuming to get it over with, is an American political scientist who teaches at University College London and writes for the Atlantic, the WP and has his own podcast and substack. He is name is Brain Klaas and he proudly shows off he was in this. He enjoyed it. He thinks she is funny.
I thought that was Eric Trump!
The experts knew it was a satirical interview, but didn't know what was coming. You can see many of them fighting back laughter.
There's one about black holes: getting sucked through a hole, and Elvis Presley being filmed above the waist: they'll have a stroke. 😂
Just a questions. If Apaches and Commanches were "hostile", would it mean that Americans hypothetically defending Texas from Mexican invasion would too be considered "hostile"?
No they wouldn't, they would be defending their country just as the native Americans did.
On the other hand, you can't be blamed for deeds of your ancestors. It wasn't you who carried out the aggression and you have no reason to feel guilty.
I get what you are saying but we would have to apply that to everyone wouldn’t we? If the human race began in Africa then we are all just Africans at the end of the day aren’t we? But the Comanche in particular were a small tribe that grew into an empire by wiping out, enslaving or displacing every tribe within hundreds of miles. They weren’t “hostile” (maybe I shouldn’t have used that word) only because they refused to negotiate with the US government. It was for a lot of horrifying reasons, to the point where other tribes that were still around after being displaced actively and enthusiastically helped the US Army whenever they could. Much like the tribes that the Aztecs failed to wipe out but displaced enthusiastically helped Hernan Cortes conquer what would be called Mexico today. And by no means does it make what Hernan Cortes or the US government did justified at all. What they did was horrifying to the highest degree, there is no disputing that. But to pretend like all that land was always Comanche and they were just living there peacefully until the Americans showed up is a fabrication. They built their empire in the plains by taking massive swathes of land away from other people long before the Americans showed up.
@@KingBoomer Ha! Interesting. That's telling him!
And to think, you pretend to be a muppet! Far too modest!
I recommend 'Motherland' Diane Morgan Is brilliant as Liz - Queen Boomer would like it I'm sure!
Diane Morgan is fantastic.
Isn't it obvious why bears don't have arms? With Americans claiming the right to bear arms, there are simply no arms left for the poor buggers.
leaving them practically 'armless!
@@shonunezekiel And no way to bear witness to their plight!
Cunk is just showing her ignorance. Everyone knows that Americans have the right to bare arms - that's why T-shirts are so prevalent over there.
Everyone misses "Columbo"
It was a good show.
Probably an advantage for him.
Proud to be a yellowbelly.😊.

So glad you get the humour and that you can laugh at this, rather than get insulted at what is obviously humour. One of the things you need to understand about Brits, is that they will poke as much, if not more, fun at themselves as they do to others.
Charlie Brooker is the writing genius behind this
Love Cunk 😂
I think for the first series she did. Most people didn’t know her, but for the later ones, the UK experts at least had some idea of what to expect
If i remember right, the people shes interviews are aware of her character but are unaware of the questions shes going to ask.
Would definitely recommend watching some full episodes! There are a lot of jokes that other reactors miss, but I think you'll probably spot most of them with the amount of British stuff you watch.
She must've read Terry Pratchett's work. Her explanation of flight is exactly like Sir Terry's theory of dragons. I love her. She's proper mental.
Dialogue written by Charlie Brooker, who is for sure a Discworld fan!
@@garethm3242 I miss his wraps.
She never misses
I agree that the edit was bad, but this is still good for a laugh. Question: if someone is stealing your property, would you silently accept it or maybe be hostile toward them. All in context.
Watch “Mandy” 😂

Kunk is priceless.

She caught that other interview partner a bit of guard when she asked about the soviet onion... Until he realised that she's joking and actually started taking about Russia having a lot of vegetables 😅

Please watch Cunk on Earth with Queen Boomer. You'll both love it.
Cunk is a character that was not her invention - she had to audition for the part .. but delivers it so well. The interviewees are aware of what is going to happen and one of the best is Prof Brian Cox, where he holds his own but they barely keep it together from laughing.
I follow the bear arms bloke on bluesky and he talks about this quite a lot. I think he finds it very funny.
I would love you to react to the recent Brian Cox honesty box video from Ladbible - I think you would find this so interesting and Brian is one of the most interesting people to listen to
I literally signed up for Netflix for this show alone!
The Christmas 2024 episode Cunk On life was brilliant, if a bit dark.
Ahhhhhh here comes cunk.... fantastic stuff!
07:54. So Americans invented friendly fire long before we gave them credit for?
"How did being shot in the head affect [his] ability to lead?"
That question only became more relevant with time.
The editing must have been done by Dr Shakamoto but definitely full episodes mates, she’s ace x
So, let's get one thing straight. The battle for Independence was the British vs the British. Paul Revere did not say the British are coming he said the regulars are coming. Because there were no Americans at the time, only British subjects. Ergo, the British won that war as well.
Al Murray logic, I love it! 🏴🇬🇧
definitely worth watching some full episodes, as the sloppy editing here was very distracting. Worth noting that the interviewees are in on the joke. They know she's just a character and are told to talk to her a bit like they're talking to a child. They don't know what she's going to ask, and answer any nonsense in a straight-up professional way, but you can tell sometimes that they are doing their absolute best to not burst out laughing
1 American understands British humor... there is hope for your nation you :)
Quite a few do. Bill Bryson has told the story of how he asked a taxi driver "Are you free?" and got the reply "Sorry! I will have to charge you". A moment of recognition passed between them.
@@DEEJAYWALBill Bryson is hilarious. His book about UK is excellent and on point.
First time I’ve seen this channel. I was not expecting that intro.
That actress has also appeared on would i lie to you.
That's an interesting perspective on the settlers.
While we can look from a distance and see the immorality of the whole land grab, looking at individuals and families and communities who undertook those journeys: by heck they were brave, and tough and resourceful.
Some of us (old) Brits are lucky, we grew up among ageing people who had been our country's greatest generation.
I wonder if America's greatest generation weren't buried out on the Great Plains a century and a half ago.
One of the main reasons we Brits had chosen red for most regiments was for morale ironically. You stood out like a sore thumb against most backgrounds but the red disguised the blood to a great extent of those who were hit. It was thought that the shock value of seeing casualties was thus lessened for those around them.
Sorry, but that is not true. It came about in the English Civil War, the new model army was first uniform army and chosen red because it was cheap colour to make 👍
I adore Cunk on!
7:12 Yes those Apache and Commanche were extremely notorious for fighting against their land being invaded and stolen 🙄
raiding and enslaving each other .
Americans enslaved nobody . They bought people from Africa ,who were already commodities in their own countries.
They aren't native to America and didn't make any claims for the land. Not to mention did f**k all with it.
new cunk show is on netflix in the USA
Absolutely love your shirt lmao
Cunk started as a skit on Charlie Brooker's Screen Wipe (he of Blackmirror) There was another talking head character on the same show called Barrie Sh@tpeas
God I miss Barry Sh*tpeas.
Yes please watch a full episode😅
Oregon was the first western destination - based on what Lewis and Clarke discovered. Initially the plains were just crossed, not settled. 48 changed everything. The first big losers in the west were the Mexicans who had been everywhere from Santa Fe (second oldest US City) to California for a couple of hundred years. It wasn’t until the trans continental railroad was built by Chinese from the west and Irish from the east, that the plains Indians really lost their entire way of life. Post civil war, longhorns were driven from Texas to railheads in the north, leading to settlements. This was also done in conjunction with the virtual extermination of the buffalo - the plains Indians most important food source. You know all this, and Im just a Dublin kid, who is interested in US history. Love your stuff KB.
