When copyright is detected, UA-cam lets you click a button to cut out sections to make it pass.
I suspect this has been cut down over the years by that.
Although... never attribute to UA-cam tech that which can be adequately explained by bad editing.

Brilliant character brilliantly played by Diane Morgan, important to give a shout out to Charlie Brooker too who created the character for his excellent 'Wipe' series, Charlie Brooker is someone you're not yet accustomed with (as far as I am aware?) but he's up there alongside Chris Morris as being of of our leading satirists, in fact Charlie and Chris actually created a sitcom together called 'Nathan Barley' which is absolutely hilarious and a true cult classic as it really did go under the radar, but it's fans like myself rate it as one of the great sitcoms of it's generation, I've mentioned it to you loads of times and recommended Charlie Brooker's Wipe series to your on Patreon too, basically if you love Chris Morris you'll also love Charlie Brooker.

KB Well done. You are the first American reactor the get the throwaway line that Americans then weren't the quiet unassuming people they still aren't today.
In Diane's Christmas special, she actually visited CERN and there were viewers writing in convinced that Professor Brian Cox was ready to punch her lights out. The fact that household names (in the UK anyway) are prepared to submit to her lunatic persona tells you a lot about how popular the show is.

The founding of America is fascinating to me as a British person since recently through Ancestry I found out I'm related to some big players in the history of America for instance Jared Ingersoll a signer of the constitution and technically a founding father (my 4th cousin 9x removed), my 12th great grandfather Governor of Connecticut Colony John B Webster and his family. John was on the council that decided the start of the war with the indigenous Pequot. Then I have ancestors that fought in both the American civil and revolutionary wars. I was not taught much about the Americas at school in history but this has kinda made it personal and want to know as much as possible.

It was a lot of Spanish and Portuguese immigrants that went to the West and they were extremely brutal towards the Natives and made them convert to Catholicism. Before the west was invaded by immigrants and Eastern Americans, before the war of independence it was the British that was stopping the colonisation of the west and had treaties in place with the natives but after the war that’s when Americans started moving west as well as trying to invade Canada until the war of 1812 which was when we burned down the White House.

Just a questions. If Apaches and Commanches were "hostile", would it mean that Americans hypothetically defending Texas from Mexican invasion would too be considered "hostile"?
No they wouldn't, they would be defending their country just as the native Americans did.
On the other hand, you can't be blamed for deeds of your ancestors. It wasn't you who carried out the aggression and you have no reason to feel guilty.

I get what you are saying but we would have to apply that to everyone wouldn’t we? If the human race began in Africa then we are all just Africans at the end of the day aren’t we? But the Comanche in particular were a small tribe that grew into an empire by wiping out, enslaving or displacing every tribe within hundreds of miles. They weren’t “hostile” (maybe I shouldn’t have used that word) only because they refused to negotiate with the US government. It was for a lot of horrifying reasons, to the point where other tribes that were still around after being displaced actively and enthusiastically helped the US Army whenever they could. Much like the tribes that the Aztecs failed to wipe out but displaced enthusiastically helped Hernan Cortes conquer what would be called Mexico today. And by no means does it make what Hernan Cortes or the US government did justified at all. What they did was horrifying to the highest degree, there is no disputing that. But to pretend like all that land was always Comanche and they were just living there peacefully until the Americans showed up is a fabrication. They built their empire in the plains by taking massive swathes of land away from other people long before the Americans showed up.

How dare you?????! Three wheels on my wagon , and I'm still rolling along. It's an invasion. I am an American Indian . Perhaps . I've been told I have a bit of that ancestry. I am actually British and ever so slightly insane . But I like to think I have something more . I do . I have the highest cheekbones in my family. And dark, kind of slanty eyes . I don't feel blinking well Irish or Scottish. But I am a Mclelland And a Mclarnon. But I have been told my great grandmother was brought over from America . I know I have American Indian /:Native American blood . I just feel it . I don't know why this is such a trigger for me . 😢

Judi Dench starred in a film called Philomena, and there was a Saint Philomena, apparently...
"Philomena is a feminine title of Greek origin and means “lover of strength, loved one,” and “courageous lover.” This lyrical name was borne by a saint in Rome who is no longer worshipped."

Native Americans didn't regard America as "theirs" they regarded the small amount of it they'd last stolen from another tribe in a war as "theirs", ie whichever bit of "America" ie the world as they knew it, they currently lived on.

That's an interesting perspective on the settlers.
While we can look from a distance and see the immorality of the whole land grab, looking at individuals and families and communities who undertook those journeys: by heck they were brave, and tough and resourceful.
Some of us (old) Brits are lucky, we grew up among ageing people who had been our country's greatest generation.
I wonder if America's greatest generation weren't buried out on the Great Plains a century and a half ago.
