Really well done. I love it, that you aren't wasting 10 minutes in the beginning of the video by talking about something useless. You start right into the theme and that is fantastic!
I watched this video long time ago. That time I couldn't follow you or understand many parts. Then after an year I tried but failed again. I kept trying after months and months hoping that now i will understand Edit: After another one year of posting this, I could follow 3 of the 9 methods here.
This is a free educational video for people who know basics of blender and just illustrates the different ways to arcieve some interesting effects. You're quite rude to him...
Man, I gotta tell you. People really like Blender Guru - but I think your tutorials are the best. You present really professional techniques - but also - you get straight to the point. Excellent stuff man!
I remember watching this six years ago having no idea what hes talking about. Now I could do all these with my eyes closed. Thanks Gleb for great tutorials!
Not sure if I got you right: You are asking about an input what kind of tutorial you could do next? If so I'd have a challenge I believe. I allways asked but never found somthing about making a realistic sun with eruptions, non homegenous masses on the surface and stuff. Could be interesting though with the volume scatter and particles. If you haven't asked about input I'm sorry to blabber about that stuff :P
Gleb I love your content and your creations! Could we possibly see an update on this for 2.8+ versions? Or if you got a video on it already, I can't find it.
thank you! i'd love to update it at some point, because clearly the interest for blowing it all to pieces is high. not sure when, though. working on the new modeling troubleshooting course at the moment :)
Could you show us your basic set up of lighting and shaders and such? Meaning, I would really love to know how you set up these tests when it comes to the object settings and lighting. I want my stuff to look as good as yours. You get me?
Wow Thanks man! Its nice that you comment back when you can. seriously like its awesome! I'll check it out as soon as I can. :) Great channel keep up the good work.
I basically know everytNice tutorialng there is to know about soft soft but I still watched tNice tutorials through just because of how good you explained
Hi Gleb, This is great tutorial! I am new to this. I am trying to make video that shows the water flow in a pipe and washing the residue away. So I was wondering if and how can we make the followings: 1) replace the hard ball with fluid water 2) destroyed object (residue) flash out in a pipe Would you please give me some advice or show me how - that's would be greatly appreciated
Can you also make a video on how to pause the simulation at a given keyframe and make it like time frozen. Camera moving around the collision while its paused.
I see that this is all animation. Is it possible to catch a moment in time of destruction and save that broken cube at that very moment and export as an OBJ for usage in Daz Studio?
Leo Laurentz If someone could help me with the bisect/boolean destruction it's killing me im trying to figure out why it's not working for me. You say it's too easy in your tutorial please make me a step by step guide
Hi! Nice tutorial GA! i m interssing particulary to molecular simlation so i try to reproduce the 9th way but neither! Please can you share how you get this material. It seems like cotton! It Liked it so much.
Do you have to download software to use in Blender for your tutorial? Are going to do an updated version that explains step by step what you are doing?
Can you add all those ways of destroy to 1 wall ( 1 cube), If you shoot if with a gun, then it will fall apart, laser, it will melt. Sword will be cut in pieces. Can i make 1 object destructable in all ways, whether i have a pistol or a bazooka or hammer or sword? Or its limited only to 1?Btw: can you maybe tell me what song is it?
Subscribed! Your tutorials are awesome but I can hardly understand 90% of the things, very new to blender and would be great if you can slow down a bit and explain the things you are doing a bit in detail 👍
Is there anyway you can if not someone can make a tutorial explaining ways 8 and 9 in more details to use the molecule method for both methods. I am planing on using it to make snow as well as rain.I just don't have but so strong of an understand of it. thanks
The vid is 5 years old, and the very first addon is not longer available in graphicall. Hopefully there's an update on destroy methods for Blender 2.8x
Dear Gleb, really amazing 🥰. But for newbies like me way too fast to follow and lack of information how to get to the tools needed. I am at level “did Blender Gurus Doughnut, even ‘translated’ it into 2.8 beta”. Idea: make a separate tutorial in 2.8 of each method present here, duration each about 20 minutes. And you’d helped soooooo many newbies 😘. Greetings 🖖
Love your contributions to the Blender community Gleb. I am trying to get a wall to crumble from the top down to apply to a projection map but can't figure it out. Trying with Dennis' awesome Fracture Modifier and the trigger settings but it is not degrading from the top down. Any suggestions?
I have tried the cloth deform with the same setting and I cannot make it work. My moving blocks do not deform the cube. What settings did you use for the moving blocks?
It must be for advanced blender users:Because I didn't see a thing. It was like whoosh then cloth simulation, then rigid body etc. Can you make a slow version, I would appreciate thanks.

It's a lot of fun breaking virtual things in Blender. Thanks for the tutorial Gleb! :)
It all started here (big fan)
Really well done. I love it, that you aren't wasting 10 minutes in the beginning of the video by talking about something useless. You start right into the theme and that is fantastic!

I watched this video long time ago. That time I couldn't follow you or understand many parts.

Hritik Vaishnav - All fairly basic stuff and I moved to Blender a month ago.
Yes i tried the molecular one but i couldn't find some of the things because it didn't show it
U had us in the fst half not gonna lie
Hahaha same happened with me ... I watched this video in 2016

Great tutorial, thanks for sharing ;)
really nice! Also, great voice and delivery :)
cool! thanks
Awesome! I cannot wait to try some of these.
Both you, and your videos are awesome! Subbed!
I remember watching this six years ago having no idea what hes talking about. Now I could do all these with my eyes closed. Thanks Gleb for great tutorials!
If you can make a tutorial making these animations with the latest updates I would watch it
You're so enthusiastic about these effects, I love your delivery. Thank you, man, you rock.
Have to say once again: Best channel for fast advanced learning on blender! Good job!
Andreas, by the way just have spotted that this video got more than a thousand likes. It seems we're not alone in our desire to destroy everything.
Haha, yeah, well - that's irony: we are building the simulation about destroying things.
And about the 1000 likes - earned, I'd say ;)
I think we need to celebrate it with the poster or something else. Ideas?

Andreas Kurz Great idea! That would be epic, I'll research it.

How did you build that render-scene? It looks really amazing with the light and so on!
Would really welcome a tutorial for it =)
This is a great quick-reference tutorial, but can you make a more detailed tutorial on the Molecular add-on?
Greb. This is great, most importantly your presentation standard is high. The rendering, lighting and animation are top quality. Keep it up.
This is sooooo cathartic. I've been coming back to this video since it was first released in July 2014. xD
Anyone else reminded of that physicist from the newer starcraft movies. You have the voice man, cool video as well
HOLYY SHIITTT I LOVE YOU ❤❤❤ I'VE BEEN SEARCHING AROUND THE INTERNET FOR 5 HOURS AND THEN NOW IT'S OVER FINALLY I LOVE YOU MAAN
I like the fact that your channel is at the advanced level, hard to find that with Blender. 😄
i’m honestly most impressed with that beautiful lighting in the renders haha.
How the heck do his cubes and spheres always look so dang good?
I love the way you talk, it's so enthusiastic and motivating XD
it looked awesome and I was hoping you could explain to me the details. Because I just didn't understand how to get the particle system to work.
I would be eternally grateful if you updated this tutorial
Very nice work, I particularly like the molecular destruction effect.
I've seen that has actually explained it to in a concise way!
Hei Gleb! about the cloth version, how would you do it with actual blender versions? cloth settings are totally changed from this video till today
Can you take it a bit slower, cant keep up
How did I get here, I don't even use blender, but this was so satisfying and interesting to watch.
I do not own blender and did not hain anything from this video but it was quite fascinating!
Dude these tutorials are killer.
Your presentation imo is incredible.
thanks for sharing efforts.
Gleb I love your content and your creations! Could we possibly see an update on this for 2.8+ versions? Or if you got a video on it already, I can't find it.

Can you do an Updated version of this?
with the cloth the cloth is clipping into the cube and then being dragged and creating massive spikes that follow the cube
Could you show us your basic set up of lighting and shaders and such? Meaning, I would really love to know how you set up these tests when it comes to the object settings and lighting. I want my stuff to look as good as yours. You get me?
Uploaded the scene with the basic setup. www.dropbox.com/s/usa4xgb1gt2co79/scene_01_1.blend?dl=0
Wow Thanks man! Its nice that you comment back when you can. seriously like its awesome! I'll check it out as soon as I can. :) Great channel keep up the good work.
Gleb Alexandrov can someone respond to me so I can get notified when I'm on my PC?
I love the simple ways of doing complex things. Subscribed!
This is satisfying to watch
does anybody know how he gets not just the animations but the light reflecting off the table so realistic?
I'd like to get the world settings too. It just looks amazing!
Use a glossy shader
I basically know everytNice tutorialng there is to know about soft soft but I still watched tNice tutorials through just because of how good you explained
Instead of keyframing the active check box I find it a lot easier to just change the start frame of the rigid body cache
OMG THANK YOU!!! I went through hours of "beginner" guides before I could find tNice tutorials and at least make a simple soft... Only video I've
This was pretty eye opening. I especially liked the cloth simulation technique. Thanks!
Yeah, cloth sim for destruction was a surprise for me too.
Keep calm don't rush ^^ We don't need to know how fast you can create these effects, but how can WE create these effects ahah. But very cool video !
Hi. Is it possible to make separate video on each method? Please
Hi Gleb,
This is great tutorial! I am new to this.
I am trying to make video that shows the water flow in a pipe and washing the residue away. So I was wondering if and how can we make the followings:
1) replace the hard ball with fluid water
2) destroyed object (residue) flash out in a pipe

this video is giving me a good idea of how to make godzilla destroy a building in blender
Thanks Gleb for all those tips !!
Can you also make a video on how to pause the simulation at a given keyframe and make it like time frozen. Camera moving around the collision while its paused.
I see that this is all animation. Is it possible to catch a moment in time of destruction and save that broken cube at that very moment and export as an OBJ for usage in Daz Studio?
you should do an Tutorial on how to edit videos.. The texts are great how you got that professionalism ..
Awesome tutorial.
Thanks for making this tutorial! it's so quick and understandable.
Leo Laurentz If someone could help me with the bisect/boolean destruction it's

it's too easy in your tutorial please make me a step by step guide
thank you sir for sharing this. by the way you sounded like ensign chekov of enterprise.
Your tutorials are gold nuggets!
Can you re upload this video but to the recent update of blender?
Thank you so much! TNice tutorials video helped produce fire soft thanks bro❤️
very nice tutorial.but can you explain or do a tutorial about no 6 "cloth simulation with zero stiffness"
how do you set up that material to sphere and cube and such a soothing background
cloth animation witl olw stiffness can be useful to simulate steps in snow, or something. i will try it.
Hi! Nice tutorial GA! i m interssing particulary to molecular simlation so i try to reproduce the 9th way but neither! Please can you share how you get this material. It seems like cotton! It Liked it so much.

What a great tutorial. He shows many great techniques, and you don't have to watch 1h :)

Completely off topic, but can someone tell me what the name of the music that starts at 0:22? It sounds really pleasant. Great vid btw.
With Molecular, How did you get the surface of the cube to be so smooth before it starts falling apart ?
I am just wondering why you are being so generous with your knowledge?
Subscribed! Your tutorials are awesome but I can hardly understand 90% of the things, very new to blender and would be great if you can slow down a bit and explain the things you are doing a bit in detail 👍

Can we just destroy a part of the cube but not all for a rigidbody fracture?
can you show us a version wehere you render them like all white an it looks amazing
This tutorial is quite useful for me, and your voice is absolutely awesome. Thanks for this! :D
is there a way I can destroy a building in way I can only use render blender in blender 2.79?
this tutorial is awesome dude, can you pls remake this vedio in detail with blender 2.8 plssssssssssssssss!!!

How do I get that cool realistic look like if it's renderd?
I just want to take this time to say that his english is better than most people who comment on videos
As soon as the video started I was reminded of that 70's show.
I have tried the cloth deform with the same setting and I cannot make it work. My moving blocks do not deform the cube. What settings did you use for the moving blocks?
Thank you so much. I just upgraded from Making Waves, so the concepts are familiar, but tNice tutorials is a whole new world! Look forward to

Nice work here. Good collection of techniques.
This is so satisfying
