I agree. I enjoy nurturing my husband. However, with men who come to always expect this or never reciprocate nurturing acts - it starts to feel like mothering, which turns women off. Make sure if you have a woman who does this, reciprocate the same thoughtfulness in different ways.

And then those men wonder why their relationship/marriage is sexless and they have affairs.
A woman is not interested in having sex with someone she considers as another child to look after. And Men are not interested in having sex with someone that reminds them of their mother.
Reciprocating and being of service to your loved one is so important for an enjoyable relationship /marriage.

As a woman I used to be this way in relationships. I think it signaled to those men that they could take advantage of me. I realise it's not for everyone, but I personally LOVE to cook a good meal and serve it to those I love, I enjoy paying attention to little details that make someone's day a little better, a little easier perhaps, and show that I care and am thinking of them. When someone APPRECIATES the effort and the love put into a meal, it creates connection, respect for what each person brings - these are the little moments that make up our life time, the every-day little acts of kindness.

      @@AussieGem i think I'm finally getting it at 40...
Before I can ask anything of my partner I need to be able to give it to myself and be able to offer it to her first.
There's nothing like coming home after being out in -40, cleaning yourself up then having your face held even for a few seconds...it's the softness and gentleness is what we need.
I think it's harder if you take pretty good care of yourself, I get younger women trying to get my attention with their bodies, that's not intriguing.
We're interested in women with talents and passions and self respect, someone we treat as an equal and we can look up to...nobody cheats on someone they care about. No man can argue with a woman like that.
Have you ever asked yourself about Alexander's armies and the types of men they were composed of? Some looked their first wives in the eyes and said they'd be back but took local wives anyways, lots of them did. Some men died on the way home trying to keep their word to their wives and some men made it home alive.
Of the men who made it home, some were so scarred from war they beat their families upon return.
Then there's the type of man I sure hope I'd be...smart enough to survive and collapse in his wife's lap, grateful he had the chance to see her once again.
I think a lot of women currently pick men for absolute s**t reasons.

It feels one sided. Like one is expected to give it all and the other to just receive. When both show acts of love of service for one another in this way and are both considerate of one another, then neither minds doing it for the other. If anything, it will bring them both joy. I always wanted to fulfill my dreams wether I came to America or not that’s why I always got mad when I was never allowed to do things I wanted to do even though I was already an adult. It not fair. I can do all the things a man needs and still get to fulfill my dream(some folks call it hobby) idc I still want to be able to pursue something I am passionate about while I’m here. Why should I only dedicate my life to a man 😢I can give him and the kids 90% and I get the 10% to myself. That’s fair☝🏽

Ideally both partners will be in tune with each other and seek to help each other and make each others life better. That said, in my anecdotal experience, women in my wife (including my wife) have expressed disappointment that I did not get their hints or understand they wanted something from me without telling me. I think many women do have a desire that their men will do something they want without asking. That is a desire. But it is still a bit unreasonable if only because it can be ineffective. Do ladies expect their female friends to do favors telepathically without being told? Part of this is probably a difference in communication styles. Women are encouraged to speak more indirectly; men are the opposite. I love my wife and would do almost anything for her. But the communication style is more like love languages. Acts of service may not be yours. So it won’t resonate with me if you do acts of service no matter how thoughtful. Likewise the way some (not all) women communicate (obliquely) may not get picked up by the men. It’s not their language or communication style.
