Maybe a guest appearance on a food network show or something like Bon Appetit here on YT. This is not a knock on Arnie's culinary acumen or his ability to entertain, it's just that a full on very popular YT channel allows him to be fully independent, reach a huge audience, and still make great money.
He isn’t screaming and running around in a ridiculous challenge to be on FN anymore. They forgot to have humans cooking recipes except for a few brief hours every few days, we can source, learn, even shortcut shows, about 20 years ago 😞
I just came across this video yesterday evening. It just randomly popped up in my feed. I was having a really bad day! I was laying in bed, crying and feeling overwhelmed when I saw the thumbnail of those nachos. Nachos are one of my favorite foods! You have the most amazing and infectious personality! I found myself smiling and laughing and thoroughly enjoying the video. I instantly subscribed to your channel. All of the food looks so delicious! I just wanted to say thank you. Not just for the wonderful videos and content, but for you just being you and putting a smile on my face! Needless to say, I will be spending the rest of my weekend binge watching all of your videos! Be blessed my friend! ❤❤
Hey Arnie, I’m from San Juan, Tx, I graduated PSJA in 1974 and moved to Eagle 🦅 Pass, Tx at the border with Piedras Negras, Coahuila. I have lived in Eagle Pass since 1979. I was fortunate to have met Nacho Anaya Jr. He always spoke about his Dad inventing the original Nachos. I also remember the Round Up Restaurant in Pharrell, Tx, nice Food. The Rio Grande Valley had a nice Mexican Restaurant, el Rex Cafe on 17th St. Such memories.
Been watching you for months, Arnie, but this is the first time I comment. I'm from Harlingen. So cool to see professional-looking videos coming from the Valley with such great content. Keep it up, sir!
You are so good for Mexican Americans and for Americans. Though I can only speak for one, you make both groups better. Edit: "Ain't no right way; ain't no wrong way" while teaching us how to cook. Incredible work.
Hey Arnie, I've subscribed to your channel last year because you're the real deal!!! I'm a native born Texan now living in Coastal Georgia. We've met a lot of new friends here and early last winter I pulled out my 8 QT (just a little milder cuz of the wimmin) and 10 QT stockpots and went to town cooking up your exact Texas Style Chili recipe. I let it cool and stuck it in the fridge for a day so it could "marry up". When it was chow time they nearly lost their minds devouring both pots. It even shut up the women's chattering. 😏 KEEP IT UP !!!!!!!!
You’re making me hungry, Dude! Nachos are the best! Recently I had some pulled pork nachos at a local restaurant. They were fantastic! I couldn’t stop eating them!
I grew up in a black house here in tx and we still ate nachos on the regular. Thats how easy they are to make and how good they are. I love seeing recipes for simple foods get a twist to them.
Grew up in Virginia eating Tex-mex style and now in San Diego eating Baja\SoCal Mexican style. Have eaten Mexican food in CDMX and Merida. Love your recipes señior and inspired by you to travel to northern Mexico and Texas for different styles/flavors/experiences. Muchas gracias guey!!!
I grew up in rural Central West Texas and my mom would make nachos. She would lay the chips down on a cookie sheet in a single layer then put a small slice of cheese and jalapeño on top of each one of the chips. Then put them into the oven, she said this way each chip got the same amount of cheese.
Ernie I'm watching over here from Chicago Illinois I've been watching your videos quiet time I like the way you cook me and my wife would like to go to Texas
This brought me back home, I moved to Houston about 14 years ago and when i was younger my dad would take me and my older sister to a place in our home town McAllen Tx and we would get a big botana to share ❤ love your videos
You’re absolutely correct on your Nacho theory. What ever turns you on❗Good food is good food. Glad I subscribed,….love your channel. Born and raised Texan,…and We just LOVE our Tex/Mex❗ Thank You. Brad&Sherri in Dallas.
Thank you for the video. HOLY MOLY Arnie.... You hit me right in the way-back nostalgia spot when you talked about working overnight at a convenience store. I did that for tooooo many years while working my way through college. We did not yet have the iconic pot-o-nacho cheese but DID get microwavable burritos in later years...
Excellent my favorite! Have been making them since I was 12 but I do bowls of chicken, ground beef and let someone make their own toppings! Have the pie pans ready with the chips and they go down the row of ingredients and choose their own then heat up! I call it a Nacho party also helpful the next day after making tacos and can use up the leftovers 😋 I do also have salsa and guacamole on the side for toppers just pour on top after pulling out of the oven Best EVER! 😋
I worked at an American restaurant in the Midwest! We did Mexican Night every Wednesday, The Owner/Chef and I would eat a big platter of Nachos every Wednesday before the dinner rush, He liked flour tortillas cut into chips and deep fried. Recipe was chips, refried beans, seasoned ground beef, tons of cheese melted under the broiler, dressed with fresh Onion, green Bell peppers, Tomato's, and Black Olives!! Salsa and Sour cream on the side!!
I think simple is often better. Just buy the doritos etc brands and You already won. I am not a fan of Flour tortillas cut and fried myself. But I just do the nacho sauce salsa, cheese Dorito chips and heat /nuke in a microwave then add sour cream on top, Simple and still nice
I have a niece who ❤ Nachos. She had a very bad experience with her order while at the Bowling Alley yesterday. But now with this video 😀 I will be trying these recipes. Mmmm
As a child growing up in the 1980's. Going to the Round Up was one of my favorite restaurants because of the botana. Many great memories of enjoying dinner with my family.
Hey Arnie- love your channel and recipes- your personality is NUMERO UNO!! you make me smile and laugh everytime I watch you- adds sunshine to my day., we need a cookbook by Arnie!! You would be making a lot of people happy., I’d buy one for myself and everyone on my yearly gift list even the gringos who haven’t discovered you yet- what an awesome gift right? Your recipes can’t be beat- thank you and keep it up.
I believe the nachos with the beans, peppers and cheese were called perricos. Those with meat and more had another name I can’t recall. Lived in C. Acuna, Mex for about 8 years. Love your show
Texan here too, OMG made my mouth watery. Just the way we ate them as kids with Chicken or Beef Fajitas or sometimes carne picada and shredded cheese. 😋 Now I make it with Juanita’s nacho cheese.
You’re so funny! I love your videos 😂 I’m from southern New Mexico, some of the dishes you make are the same as what I’m used to, but it’s interesting to see your Texas versions of other dishes. Even if they’re different they still look good and I love how you have so much fun cooking! I live in Oklahoma now, and that’s a whole ‘nother story!! 😂Thanks for sharing!
Great video. I am so glad I found you. I never knew there were different stages or name for nachos however they are 1 of my absolute favorites but when we moved to AZ many places don't serve them because they claim they aren't authentic.
Good God, if it's one thing I miss about moving outta the Valley are the botanas. My family and I used to get a botanas from a restaurant in Mercedes. Great food and memories
Panchos are unheard of anywhere but the RGV. Panchos were a Sunday Evening after church tradition at the ESP Restaurant in Mission during the 80’s. The ESP would also put onions on with the cheese, then after heating they would put some tomatoes on the top
I went from using water to milk and eventually started using chicken broth and a little butter. I melt the butter and then put the broth in(a whole can for two can of condensed cheese) once the broth starts to boil slowly add the cheese and it’ll loosen up quickly.
My favorite were the shredded cheese and jalapeño fresh out of the oven. My grandmother owned the branding iron Odessa Texas until they sold it. That's how she made hers.
The Bob Ross of cooking! “Ain’t no right way ain’t no wrong way, Friends” ❤❤
I like this guy. I could see him on the food network . He has a good tv personality.
We are at the point where he gets more exposure on UA-cam. Plus it is free for all of us to enjoy. He probably makes more as it is as well.

He’s too authentic for food network. Not just his food, but his personality
He isn’t screaming and running around in a ridiculous challenge to be on FN anymore. They forgot to have humans cooking recipes except for a few brief hours every few days, we can source, learn, even shortcut shows, about 20 years ago 😞
Love this. He's beyond Food Network!!! UA-cam for the Win! Id pay him if i could

Arnie Tex just made me cry. That botana platter was exquisite.

Guey is bad word. Don’t go around calling Mexicans that
Gotta love being from the valley and having all this delicious food down here. Wouldn't trade it for anywhere else 🤘🏼
Te quiero mucho, hermano. Además de enseñar, entretienes.
Abrazos desde el sur del continente.
Nacho food group... yes, sounds awesome!!
Haha Tex Mex food pyramid
@@ArnieTex where does carne asada fit in on that pyramid?!
I grew up in rural Central West Texas and my mom would make nachos. She would lay the chips down on a cookie sheet in a single layer then put a small slice of cheese and jalapeño on top of each one of the chips. Then put them into the oven, she said this way each chip got the same amount of cheese.
Great technique!
Arnie you are true Tex Mex, you demonstrate good authentic Tex Mex food!!! YUM!!!
You are just true, honest and fun... Thanks!
Ernie I'm watching over here from Chicago Illinois I've been watching your videos quiet time I like the way you cook me and my wife would like to go to Texas

I so much enjoy watching your channel- you are so down to Earth.
Officially my favorite channel now.
Everything you cook looks great!
I love cooking nachos in my air fryer. 400 degrees for 2-3 minutes is the perfect melt for cheese
In reading through the comments, Arnie said for the shredded cheese he likes longhorn cheddar & prefers to grate his own. You're welcome! ☺
I'm a longhorn cheese guy myself. We just grew up eating longhorn
Love Longhorn Cheddar. It’s my favorite cheese for nachos.
Actually he said shredded American cheese.
Texan here too, OMG made my mouth watery. Just the way we ate them as kids with Chicken or Beef Fajitas or sometimes carne picada and shredded cheese. 😋 Now I make it with Juanita’s nacho cheese.
