Bro this channel is a hidden gem, I don't know how you aren't more recognized. These videos feel so high quality yet some of the average Joe Minecraft youtubers put almost no effort into their videos and still get millions of views. As for my perspective on the combat update, I think that it's okay at best. The combat was lacking, but that's kinda what made it fun. I never really got into the PVP scene so I don't really know a lot about it; but being able to spam was a lot more fun. It feels like it wouldn't be a lot of fun, but it is somehow. I think that it just fit the game a lot more than the newer combat. Minecraft is a sandbox, not a PVP game, so being able to spam click just felt a lot more natural. Although I do think the old combat was better, I feel like a lot of people are pretty nostalgia blinded by it. Unless you're a PVPer, it really doesn't make too much of a difference in average game play. The only change I could think to make was to make a little damage come though the shields by melee attacks. I think that shields are just a little bit over-powered, but that's just my opinion. Either way I really could care less, cause I just like to make a bunker and have contraptions kill all the hostile mobs for me. That's just my opinion though, you might not play the same way I do; It's a sandbox game after all. If you don't like to build bunkers, moats, redstone weapons, or don't enter the nether with at least full diamond, it might make a massive change to your game play. (I still don't know how some people actually survive in the nether without full diamond 😭)
i remember the day that it happened. i dont think a single person was happy when the new broke out that microsoft bought mojang. i was playing on mineplex in lobby 1, and everyone was really upset. people were threatening to quit the game completely, and i dont think there was a single positive comment after all of that. after 1.9 released, i was heavily concerned about the game, especially since the majority of the top servers at the time never even bothered to update. so much so to where i stopped playing completely because of the how bad the state of the game was at the time. i ended up playing again around october of 2016 since the mineplex halloween update came (which was rlly fun at the time), but at that time, the damage was already pretty significant cuz i remember not seeing as many players on as there once was when i played a year ago at that time. it wasn't until around late 2019 when covid was coming around when i started playing again. i still play the game today, and now that i've went back n played the older versions, u start to rlly appreciate what we have now vs what u could do back then, especially when i've spent 2-3 weeks playing on vanilla 1.0.0.

To anyone who still plays 1.8, you should give 1.9 combat a shot. Back when I only had Bedrock Edition, I thought Java combat was bad until I got Java edition. Spam clicking feels like cheating. I don't understand why people hate the new combat. But I don't play PVP so I don't know what it's like in 1.9 PVP.

minecraft pvp has never been good, its boring, repetitive, easy. All you do is w-tap and spam right click for 1.9 and left click for 1.8
I've never had an issue with this update. In fact I love pretty much everything it added
