Guys really great stuff! I started implimenting timelines with review dates into my proposals... a little bit of flexibility is sometimes ok, as long as its communicated properly. Just be aware when the client begins to take advantage of this> Keep the videos comming! thanks guys
Thanks guys - I was just thinking on how to manage this issue a few days back, with this enlightenment I will work on a new project management and present... Thanks a million...
Great vid guys! I’d love see a vid about how to handle the client that wants to be art director. Lol. I’m sure you can share some war stories, how you handled those different situations and what the outcome was.
Your presentation of business management for creatives is sooooo helpful. I'd love some recommendations on what apps to use for client management. Are there any CRM apps that work especially well for video production or photo shoots?
I have been researching how to tackle SOO many of these problems... After reading 'extreme leadership I took on that it was my responsibility to help the client and that a 'out of control' project comes back to me and my processes even though many of my clients in the construction industry are pretty pushy. I also want to protect my team from late nights and unsustainable working expectations but we work in government tenders so there is NO option for extension of time and many of our clients are used to working into the midnight hour themselves so expect it of us, which thankfully my team is already pretty organised but it puts us under stress. I want our max to feel like 'pleasantly busy' and no 'absolute mayhem'. Have used the last 2 weeks for drafting sets of emails etc etc. So glad i stumbled across your channel.
MrBenBurns heck yeah - now going through all the old vids for research on how to crack this "getting high paying clients" code. The cold email tactic is a beast. So hard and time-consuming to do.
This was great. Sometimes it does feel redundant but it's all for clarity. How about how to nudge for CONSOLIDATED feedback? Instead of every junior person (who's not experienced in giving design/creative feedback) replying to an email and us having to jot down and playback for them to consolidate? What's a polite and effective format to ask them to deliver to skip that step on our part? I'm rambling now...
"Flipping the table and storming out" has lead me to have enough time in my hand because of no work in my hand..to be able to search and watch such videos on UA-cam...😁😄
We communicate with our clients in ZenTao software. They have a feedback account and can watch the product progress after logging in. Their opinions can be applied as new user stories.
As a customer success manager, how you can manage customer changing demand which would cost you money and time, knowing that my customer satisfaction is my priority?
Hey Futur, we are following you for a long time and love your channel! We are thinking to buy your Practical Project Management course, but we noticed that a lot of videos are already available on your UA-cam channel and were wondering if you can give us few strong points that will make purchasing your courses worth the money?
Great video and points, these vids have really been helping me. I've recently been shifted out of my position as a jr art director due to the agency I was at looking for a lower level designer and am really looking for some help to start my freelance career so thank you thank you thank you. One question I have that someone may be able to help with is when it comes to turn around time, how long do you tell the client you will have a first round of concepts for logos. Thanks guys.
How do you manage a project via e-mail, sending the client for example a logo or different Logo variations and make sure that the client dont steals it in terms of just using it without paying you for example??
Thanks, that was very helpful! I have a question regarding file structure and organisation. How do you organise your clients and files? Could you share an example of a good organisation, file structure, hirarchies, harddrives, backups...? As I get more clients it gets harder to stay organised and I'm searching for a model that could work, is scalable and helps me work faster.
How do you deal with revisions from a mgmt pov? Say you're designing a website and after the first demo/round the client is not so sure about A,B and C and wants a different direction for the style. I haven't had this happen before but I sometimes wonder what would be the best course of action in that case.
Im following you some time now and from what i've seen you prefer pricing by project and not hourly. So how is delaying from client gonna cost them more money since the price and the deadline is fixed? Do they sign contract? Thanks.
What if the client doesn’t care of your transparency and want to dictate anyways? Multi decision makers- what happens when they say a little bit of each and you perform exactly that but now the argument comes back to you that their ideas individually isn’t enough bringing the battle back to you?
Matthew Encina First question: How do you predict someone will not be a dictator prior to hire? Sometimes those attributes come out mid project. So if you say you don’t handle those clients, do you mean you cut them off mid project upon this behavior? Second question: based on your video example say you’re in a meeting in the direction a logo should take. The feedback meeting. You have 4 decision makers who give conflicting ideas but you say “we need one path”. They respond “ Mix all of our ideas together to form one solution.” Once you produce this remix solution, one of the four members doesn’t like how his idea isn’t dominant in the solution. Reopening the can of worms. The reason I bring this up is because sometimes clients search for a backdoor against your strategy funnel system to catch you off guard. How do you insist on them fighting amongst themselves to come to a final answer?

You let them know there are finite changes. More changes more money.

How many days are reasonable giving a client for a feedback? Anybody thoughts?
reasonable is relative. it should be discussed before you take on the client.
