Thanks for watching the video Client Onboarding - Complete walkthrough!
This is beautiful! The welcome PDF is brilliant! I'll definitely implement this to my business.
This is a great resource. Thank you Rachel and Flux team!
Thank you for this, Rachel! This was really insightful and quite timely. My goal for the next year is to streamline my process and being able to get a glimpse of how you onboard and offboard your clients is invaluable. I can definitely imagine your clients feeling absolutely cared for and how they would happily refer you to their peers just from the experience alone. Anyway, I will have to rewatch this as there are insights here that I will have to take note of and unpack. Thank you, Rachel! Looking forward to more videos from you, happy new year!
Thank you so much for this video. It's greatly needed for us beginner designers to know what lies ahead and I personally would like to see more of this type of content, I'm glad you're expanding your topics.
This video is gold! Filled with super valuable information, thank you!
Soooooo insightful! I love it, Rachel! Thanks for this video
I have been trying to figure out how to create an onboarding process with Asana and this is gold. Thank you!
Wow! I am new to design and had no idea of the process. I had done a little research but was just moving intuitively. This is an incredible insight into what I should be aiming for. I honestly had no idea the depth you go into for setting up communication and overall enhancing the whole experience for them. Thanks so much. 😀
Love this Rachel - brilliant video, very clear and helpful. Thanks for sharing. You ask what types of videos we would like to see more of ... definitely this side of it: the business processes. Love it.
This session was really well put togther .. one of my key business goals this year is to be better at on boarding and this wll set me on the right course
Thanks Rachel!
Hey Rachel, Thank you so much 🙏 for making this video. This video is full of value. Keep doing what you do....you're awesome 👏
Thank you for this, Rachel! This was really illuminating.
I've said numerous times that I have gained so much knowledge from Flux and this video is yet another solid example of invaluable information handed out.
The PDF is awesome! I noticed that others also enjoyed it and are now asking to purchase it.
Please count me in as well!
Amazing, this was so well articulated and thorough - please do more videos on best practice client management and engagement - I'd love to see something on how you prepare Brand Identity Guidelines - there are loads of templates but I'd love your views on what's important especially for a start up lead by minds that don't generally understand or think about design value in the way us creatives do.
Amazing content guys keep up the good work!
Thank you Rachel! This video is one of the most practical and useful. The process you explained is very methodical and systematic. You are right communication and keeping the client updated is very important.
I am sure to positively impact customer satisfaction in crease the connect with them and by implementing what you have suggested. You really articulated the entire process so well.
this is amazing value Rachel, defiantly going to be testing out using a welcome pdf
This video is pure gold. Thank you.
Love it, thank you for inspiring everyone Rachel!
Thanks for sharing, I'm only a beginner dev but it's always great learning from other people who know what they're doing :D

It's always interesting finding South Africans in the wild like this

That PDF-template / Welcome document is really pure gold. It will make you stand out against others. Your professional level with this document is raising you way above your competitors. My gut feeling tells me I will spend my weekend(s) to create such a document to help onboarding clients.
Such a great video and a huge inspiration.
Pretty great hey. Especially since she just purchased it from thefutur lmao. Anyone can get this.
Great information! I've been freelancing for a while. And there is info here that will really help me up my game! THANKS

Excellent video! Thank you!
Great great great video (as usual). 🙌. Thx for your advices. Can’t wait for the next video to come .)
This is amazing!! Thank you so much!!!
Love this Rachel! Lots of freelance gold in this vid. Would love to hear about your process with initial contact and how you lead into this onboarding process. Do you get the “yes let’s work together” before creating these templates? Or is this something you send them in substitute to a proposal?
Just curious since I’ve tried a few things and have yet found the right method for me and my clients
Great idea Austin - I’ll put it on the list for a vid in 2022 ✌️✨
@@rachelhurry3449 Thanks Rachel for these suggestions, it’s a wonderful way to care about the client and establish a real collaboration. As asked in the comment I’m replying on, I'd find very useful to see how you handle the phase before what you illustrated here, the one that goes from the very first client contact and request to the proposal and deposit's invoice, because it’s the one I struggle the most. All the best 😀
This was so informative! Thank you for sharing this 🙌. I would love to see a video of how to price your client projects appropriately and how you go about this. I struggle so much and am always unsure about how much I should charge.
This is really valuable! I like Rachel a lot :)
Definitely bits a gold in here. Great vid. Thanks for sharing your process.
So much of value 🔥
This was AMAZING!
Thanks Rachel. That was fantastic
thank you so much! i really learned a lot in this video. THIS is premium content hahaha

Thanks for sharing your knowledge for free
Very insightful 😊 thanks for sharing
Extraordinary clear 😱
This is a goldmine of a video, thank you so much. Working on creating my first ever proposal for myself and this is a HUGE help. Are you able to share a copy of the pdf?
Great video, very useful thanks!
Incredible!

This video carried the most value than I ever expected. I am just requesting some templates and if ok I can contact Rachel privately
Interesting this is helpful for non designer as well
Really helpful, thanks!
No, thank you! :D
Great Video!
What do you mean by Services and Info Guide (16:15)? What is the difference between the Brand Guidelines?
oh Rachel! video was amazing. Thank you so much. Was wonder if you can share that asana template with me? tia
Hi Rachel.. Thank you for this very informative video. I am learning and new to Client onboarding, and this video inspired me. I decided to try Asana as my Project Management tool as I was attracted to the façade of your board in this video. Quick question, though... How did you change your background color to black? I want to change mine too into dark color so it would look more professional. Thanks.
Love all this. It might be too much for an illustration project. But for media buying and creative campaign, the system would be even more detailed. I'm most used to the former but may move into more complex projects that this could help with so thank you.!
fyi:
15:14 No "e" in smooth. :)
awesome!
This well broken down, although my experience tells me a lot of these steps are just a waste of time and although clients want to be treated well they also like to avoid wasting time with unnecessary steps. Great video though!
Amazing
Hi Rachel..
Thank you for this very informative video. I have a question about your Asana board. What goes in the Intergrations and final checklist section?
Sublime 👌
Great Value 👍
🙌
Hey loving this video, that glitch in your browser, know what's causing it?
I'm having the same problem on my phone's Chrome browser
Thank you Rachel...I needed this video, I am new to the UK as a logo designer and I have spent months not being able to start the business here because I have zero idea of what documents and processes need to be put in place to ensure my client perceive me as a professional.... this video with Matts video are answering all my questions. I would love if there was a way for me to have a 1 on 1 meeting to ask more personal questions regarding starting a design career here in the UK.
Thanks for watching Duet! Starting a business can be so overwhelming. Mentorship might be coming soon in the new year so keep an eye on my Instagram for updates and maybe we can organise 🙏
@@rachelhurry3449 thank you...Will keep an eye out
this was really awesome. extremely professional process while still maintaining a human connection. Loved the PDF. Btw, any chance to buy the template for either Asana or the PDF?
Really great ideas - working on a resource shop as we speak 🙌
@@rachelhurry3449 sweet. fancy giving me a copy? will try to give as much valuable feedback as I can :) sry for the shameless question
@@rachelhurry3449 any update on the shop? :)
This is great!
Btw, I see you're using the free version of Asana. Do you not feel the need to have private projects? (Incl in the pro version)
Hey Alex! Thanks for watching. I actually do use the pro version - there is one level above the one I have which is why you see the upgrade button. I used the free version for ages but the pro version made sense as my business started to grow :)
Great video, thank you!
Do you know if you can share template in Asana?
Do you allow the client access to the full board? Or only for certain cards, lanes, etc? I'm using clickup and it's interesting for me to have checklists for some of these cards, but I'm sure it's not interesting for the client to see my internal processes.
Maybe some sort of a live on boarding ROLE PLAY would also be helpful @rachel hurry (I dont know what the setup would lool like).... Basically a two way interaction e.g rachel as the desiner and ran as the client. something like this . otherwise this video has opened my mind to alot in terms of hospitality and managing client relations and expectations during a project - the experience is important
Thank you so much for sharing this.. Could we get a template of those templates? like asana
I really like this welcome pdf, is there a template for it that can customize for my own?
This question concerns Webflow (sorry as this is not exactly on topic)..
I am just starting out and would like to know how you work with several clients based on web creation from a
cost-out method? Is there a way to set several users up so they get charged by webflow (to their individual credit card) for usage?
At the moment it only allows 1 payment option (that I can find). Any help would be great! thx
Hi Rachel,
My question is: What is the most effective way to begin a project with a client after cold calling has worked well? If anyone can help me out with the entire roadmap, I would appreciate it. Many thanks!
Thank you for a very interesting and informative video. Regarding checking in with clients later, how long is it our responsibility? My client messed up his website and 6 weeks after the site went live, he wants me to fix it up!
Sorry to hear that! Did you write anything about this in your contract? For example - what were the deliverables. If so, you can get back to the client and send him a proposal for the fix or hourly rate. Alternatively, you can open an exception and fix it without charge, but this only if you state this exception from the beginning and make sure you define the scope of the fix - this will avoid creating a situation where the client pushes you to do more changes or rely on your good will for similar situations in the future.
Hello Rachel just a q. About the contracts who did u get ur contracts done by a lawyer or did u find templates online cause I need a little help with those, thanks
Question: Shouldn't you know the Website Goal before you start the web project? How would you make an estimate without these informations?
Were the contract templates anywhere for download?
Could you do a video on contracts?
We do have a question. Why do you send the invoice over before the contract?
Thanks you so much value ! Can you share the welcome pdf Template ?
Great idea! I’ll look at creating a resource soon!
I use Airtable for almost everything in my biz
Airtable is awesome! At Flux we use Coda. 🖥 ✨
Can you use this same onboarding for UX design?
