We bought Bruno, Botman, Trippier, and Isak when we were in dire straights compared to now. We'll be fine.
That’s the spirit!
Fantastic chat guys. Probably the most accurate analysis of where we are and what we need to do. Good to understand the Bruno and Issac situation.
We had the most injuries in the league and lack the depth of the big clubs to overcome those injuries. Under those circumstances finishing 7th is actually impressive.
💯
The Premier league is a poor league. We were in a relegation battle until February
@@SylvainMarveaux9 absolute MACKEM here 🤣🤣
Money talks Simon. Fact is fact.
When we've lost a few in the past, I've never questioned it.
As you say, simply doubling wages is something can't really ignore. Sad but true.
But Pep might not be there much longer and what about the charges?
Dubs, Wilson, Miggy, Targett, and all the rest like Fraser on loan should be out the door asap selling those should still generate 30 to 40m in sales revenue which is huge given weve had nowt coming in like that in years now. And like said above dump some of the wages already being spent on them into keeping key players. We need a back up GK who is good enough to be no1 due to Popes age and injury, seems like defence is sorted if we def get Tosin and Kelly in. Then we need a CF and if we have no cash for a rw keep minteh in the squad and try loan a decent rw attacker from somewhere or buy one if we have the budget. Selling longstaff for pure profit seems a good idea but were only going to then spend the money on a cm back up for our main 3 so doubt its a priority.
Hi Iain, thanks for watching! I do think those four may be top of the sale list. AM
Great pod Andrew & Simon
Thanks for watching Simon!
Loyalty goes out of the window when it comes to more money, and the same with homegrown players who are quick to jump if an offer on the table.
Arsenal will get into a bidding war with City for Bruno and lose. I’ll be really surprised if Bruno is a Newcastle player come August. We have Tonali coming back and we should expect big performances from him.
Miggy's got to go Andrew!
So has Wilson. Different reasons (fitness), but too risky to keep.
We should sell Anthony Gordon. Almiron is our best player
@@SylvainMarveaux9 🤣😂😅😂🤣
Take the astronomical ££ Fraser and Hendrick are getting😮and hand it over to Isak and Bruno ffs😂🎉
Could we invest in an elite young up and coming striker. Like Brighton would buy, but up a level (£40 million say) and keep Wilson for another year? Who that lad is I've no clue but South America's a large continent.
Hi Steve, this certainly would be one approach!
" Which one of you lot is Simon Bird?" 8th is average finish after qualifying for CL for the first time the previous season - according to DE in the documentary.
😂
Priority must be to sack Eddie Howe. We need am elite manager in order to attract quality players
Chelsea Hedge Fund 👏
Whats wrong with Mintah? Is he that shit? I thought he'd played very well this season. 43:53
Hi Jimmy, we discuss Mintah, briefly later in the show!
its disrespectful to say this player would fit in this club and that would fit in another have some respect or dont talk about us at all
Hi Truls, if you’re referring to Simon’s comments on Bruno, I certainly don’t think he means any disrespect!
@@everythingisblackandwhiteNUFC maybe he didnt mean it but its still disrespectful to us fans but the media you not included have an agenda against us because of our owners
This guy continues to see Newcastle as a selling club. Those days are over
Seriously, pay attention to the way this guy speaks. All he talks about is how well our players would fit in other clubs
Hi Andrew, I would say Simon is just presenting his view, and talks of our players fitting in elsewhere the same way we talk about players from other teams!
