Karen's death was the saddest and most pointless death in the series. Just love Judy Greer. There was no reason for Karen to die.

"Halloween End" had such potential to continue where "Halloween Kills" left off, but it was all wasted on some kid who had zero connection to neither Laurie Strode nor Michael Myers.

After watching "Halloween Ends" a year ago.
I can say "Halloween Kills" was 100x better. Covid really ruined the third film..

@lukacunningham342 It got delayed, they had to change the story all together and barely gave Micheal Myers any screen time!

They also decided to base their whole "evil is infectious" concept for Halloween Ends on the pandemic. But I wouldn't say it's all because of covid since it was the writers choice to make a time jump. They still could have continued where Kills left off but they simply decided not to because they thought their infectious-theme was amazing.
That theme was planned already in Halloween 2018, through Dr. Sartain’s character, who had set Michael free and tried to kill Hawkins himself. Probably Michael had “touched” him the same way he would with Corey…
as a videoeditor, I just love how 1:41 is put together: music, the shots of Michael putting on the mask, the build-up to the fight, everything!!
I remember being on the edge of my seat in the theatre when I watched this back in 2021

If they stook with the alternate ending, it would have been amazing. Laurie walking with determination, holding the knife. It would have been a perfect segue to Halloween Ends and finding Michael.

This scene was so, “EPIC” b/c everyone thought they killed Michael Myers, but in reality this movie showed what the true Michael Myers is. Halloween Ends should not have been made the way they made it. They could’ve made it so much better.

A lot of people wanna talk crap about Michael Myers from Halloween ends, but just because he took down the crowd he was still hurt from both movies and then on top of that he was in the sewer for so long it’s a surprise that none of his wounds got infected or anything and then he went so long without killing people got realize he was in a weak state yeah it’s Michael Myers, but you got in so many factors he was hurt from the first and second movie he still old whether people like to put that into play or not and without him killing all that time I felt like he really got weak
Tommy Doyle talked all that talk. At least the ending made up for it. I cheered like the Phillies just won the world series.

The original wasn't that good. Boring actually. If they released that same movie in 2024, nobody would watch. Scary in 1978, silly today. Same as Jaws. Great movie back then, would be laughed at today.
Everything that Laurie spoke about during this scene was completely false. In Halloween Ends, Michael ended up wasting away in the Haddonfield sewer with almost no “power” left. With everything that happened to him during this particular moment, he was ultimately defeated by kitchen knifes and a refrigerator??? Doesn’t make a single bit of sense. Also, Laurie was so on-guard during Halloween 2018 with Michael being locked up for 40 years. It makes zero sense that she would let her guard down in Halloween Ends, knowing that her daughter was killed and Michael was still out there somewhere. It’s almost like the three movies should be reversed and used in that order.
And we can blame all that on the writers 🥲

I think the only thing I’d change is have Michael starts to breath when the mask is on, not while he is putting it on, it would be like Darth Vader when his mask is first put on, then the iconic breathing comes in

the reason i love halloween kills is that while all the other movies are about michael stalking his interests, halloween kills turns him into something arguably even scarier: he has reached a point where he is less man than a john wick level, rage-driven killing machine. it is refreshing for all the wrong reasons and i love it. i really dont get why it received so much hate, especially over the massive amounts of violence. buddy, did you see the title? you got exactly what you paid for.
The main problem I have is the fact that they Killed off Tommy, Karen, Brackett, and Cameron.
They beat the man to near death, then he comes to and easily massacres the mob like nothing happened.
Then Halloween Ends comes and apparently Micheal was affected by the injuries from that night, but just felt better in the moment.
However, I'm glad that Laurie was the one to finish Micheal once and for all.

Even though the rest of this movie is a total mess, I still think about this scene from time to time. Aside from how iconic it is when the score swells as he puts on the mask, I REALLY like how Myers takes an inhuman amount of punishment. Halloween has always been best when it incorporates a small touch of the supernatural into its realistic setting and that element is on full display here.
Being generous and ignoring Myer's severe flesh wounds from the previous movie, there is NO rational explanation for a human being to survive that mob. The monologue is super cheesy, but it is spot on in how that mask transcends him from something of flesh and blood into an unstoppable force of nature

Ive never laughed so hard at a horror movie.. I've been waiting on him to get effed up like he deserves! I know the movie barely has any correlations but I did enjoy it it didn't feel like it was the old Michael movie.
My favorite part is how the mob easily killing him is filmed simply, but when it came time for him to win, they realized there's no way of filming that realistically because it's completely absurd, so instead it turns into Taken 9.

I'm sorry but this should've been the end for Michael Myers right here in my opinion. Dude was surrounded by 50 people outnumbered with guns and other weapons. Not to mention at this point Michael is in his 70s or 80s. And not one thought to bring along handcuffs to restrain him? When I originally saw this it almost came off as comical that he was able to overcome the odds. And that instead of all 50 people attacking him when he got up, they fought one on one until they were all dead. Couldn't suspend my disbelief enough and I thought if they were making it realistic it should've been the end.

He managed to survive 4 years of immense infection and untreated wounds from the sheer amount of punishment he took in 2018 and Kills without seeking any medical help whatsoever. Everyone seems to forget that Michael isn't some indestructible monster. He is human, with SLIGHT supernatural elements. The mob beating literally all but killed him and he was most likely pumped up on adrenaline throughout Kills.
Also, he never got "beaten" by Corey. Not in the slightest. Michael literally slammed him to the ground at the beginning of their tussle. Corey simply used Michael's momentum against him, causing him to trip and knock him out. It is literally as simple as that. He was also infected with Michael's evil at that point.
For over a year now, it has all been blown way out of proportion and you people need to actually sit back and look into the context of things. It's fucking ridiculous, now.
I’ve always felt the same way you just explained. In this timeline people forget halloween 2018 only counts the original. it doesn’t count Halloween 2,4,5,6, or H2O. People forget Michael was probably on a good diet and health regime in his 40 years in the facility. And kills was the same night as 2018. in ends he’s basically standing in a sewer for 4 years with untreated wounds, of course he’s gonna start to slow down, for 40 years he was probably pretty healthy

Michael Myers is indestructible. It's his Cult of Thorn curse. He can't be killed on Halloween. You ought to watch every Halloween movie from the very first film to understand this. Halloween 6:The Curse of Michael Myers really hits on the cult. Michael Myers essentially goes into a form of stasis and then comes out of that stasis every Halloween once the stars align in correlation to the cult of Thorn beliefs. Michael Myers snaps out of his stasis and goes on a murderous rampage. Once Halloween ends he goes back into stasis until the stars align again on Halloween years later.
In this particular film and the newer trilogies he is driven by shear hate and rage but the curse remains nonetheless. Laurie even says with every person he kills the more immortal he becomes. So yes he is supernatural and can't be killed. The mob never stood a chance nor does anyone else. He's been shot, stabbed, burned, beaten etc. He can't be killed lol.
If the curse of Thorn is not good enough then chalk it up as movie plot. Like Freddy Krueger and Jason. They can't be killed. Only temporarily defeated until the next movie. All 3 still immortal and can't be killed because it would end the franchise. 😉
