Turn off Permadeath and play with either Aiden, Wrench, Darcy or Mina, or use all of them. Play with the character that helps with the different missions. This will feel like you have a primary set of characters! or stick with the one. I completed this game over a year ago (waited for the PS5 upgrade with the ray-tracing) and loved it as it showcased a scaled-down version of a very realistic London. Unfortunately it didn't go to Stratford which is further down in East London.
@@MrSvante88 it's a good representation of London with famous sites. Doesn't have every road but scaled down. As its set in the future, certain places in the game haven't been built in real life yet.
I've been on the fence about this game since release. I loved the original and 2 was ok. I finally pulled the trigger on Legion after watching your video as it's currently on sale. Thank you for taking the time to put this video together. It's sad that we may never see another Watch Dogs game because Stealth Action and Hacking go hand-in-hand and those are my favorite genres of games.
I did really enjoy the game but now remember that I did not complete the story. I do want a sequel to this, the base is good but just very lack luster, if they took all they learned from this and improved on it it could be a real banger gov'. I really loved the play as anyone so please do this again Ubi.
I love this game! So many diverse ways of playing. It’s so cool you can literally recruit anyone you see and be able to play them. It’s very unique for a game and I hope there’s another coming up!
I just started this game today and I think my main draw is the lack of a main protagonist. I've subscribed to the ideology that we're not playing as an individual, we're playing as the idea of DedSec. I'm also playing on permadeath because it finally feels like there are genuine stakes again to messing up, and I get attached to characters really quick so it will definetly hit when I lose them. It makes for a very unique narrative experience
As a long time watch dogs fan I LOVED Legion, got it when it came out and played it all the way through. Yes the acting at times was cringey and yes the story was a bit predictable at who the big baddy truly was, but damnit you could hire an old lady that was slow and has hiccups and be able to gun the enemies down with their own drones. The stories they made for each character wasnt bad either, you could have one operator on your team and 9/10 find their spouse, relative, or therapist walking through the streets 😂
Just finished and found this game quite enjoyable. The customization especially is really good. I dont understand people who keep comparing this with GTAV and then start complaining. Watchdogs legion is a pretty good game in its own right
Nice video. I’m a fan of the first two and, as you mentioned at the end, noticed it was on sale and figured it would be a good time to pick it up and give it a try.
I do like that most of the videos i've seen had different operatives than I did. I love the freedom of choosing your own affiliates. I'm making an asian gang so I've been replacing or recruiting only asian people. I use some other favorites as a backup depending on what kind of place needs to be infiltrated lol. Like I got a white guy hitman and he just comes in during the harder/final missions to get stuff done. I like how it lists different activities he completed under his bio too.
The single player is good, but the online is so glitchy that it's borderline unplayable. Ubisoft really dropped the ball there. It's as if they just abandoned it without bothering to patch it at all. The objectives in the free roam "assignments" often fail to spawn, rendering them impossible to complete. Every mechanic of Invasion seems to randomly toggle between functional and broken, and even trying to start it often sends you to a lobby with no invasion target at all. Co-op missions are insanely hard because of enemies' ridiculously over-the-top spawn rates and mission objectives bugging out. Compounding this problem is a glitch that drove me to delete the game: I randomly (but apparently permanently) was cursed with an unshakable, infinite army of Clan Kelley captains (the most heavily armed and armored of all enemies) that hunt me relentlessly during co-op missions. They are so aggressive that they shoot at me even in the mission lobby, while waiting for the host to launch, and are already surrounding my team at the start. They make an already too-hard mission literally impossible.
Watch Dogs Legion standard edition and the Gold Edition are on sale on PlayStation store for Black Friday. Its been on my watch list for a bit so after watching your review, yeah... I bought it. 😂 Standard is around £14 while Gold is £25. I bought gold cause I've never played the first game and I wanted the bonus content cause I heard Wrench is in it and I liked him in the second game.
WD1 was best because it was focused on hacking/action, 2 and 3 is too much about just hacking, even 3 is without any good upgrading of your character. Still want to play 1, one of the best game
If you buy the Gold Edition which comes with the season pass and DLC (obvs when on sale) you can play the main campaign with either Aiden or Wrench which makes a huge difference it feels more like the previous 2 games having just one character.
I just downloaded this and love it, I use other characters but I mainly use the same one just so it can feel like one protagonist. When you think of all that you can control in it gets a bit overwhelming
Honestly, I’m also not one to worry about voices and lip syncing, it’s just that terrible in WD Legion. It was a pretty neat trick to add all these playable characters, with endless possibilities and options, but like you said, I miss a main character, like Aiden & Marcus in the previous two. I somehow feel this is softer version of GTA online, just with a lot more futuristic and current tech. Will I play it again, when I’m done. Probably not. Let’s hope the next one, they get it right.
Watch Dogs 2 Has A Mission Replay Same To GTA V The Best Detail Iconic Gameplay Extreme Graphics A High Rating 4.6/5.0 In Watch Dogs Legion 3.7/5.0 A Disappointment Glitched Failure Related To Saints Row Reboot 2022
Another WDL review that isn't really focusing on what makes this game truly special, which is the unique way its stealth was balanced. For example, you mentioned that melee combat was refined, but you didn't explain how it truly affected WD gameplay loop. In previous games enemies instantly shoot at you, when you get detected, as a result most of the time you played those games as cover based shooters. In Legion they added lots of mechanics to tone down violence allowing you to play the game as stealthy as possible, as non-lethal as possible, because this time your death and death of NPCs matters. The game makes your life harder if you're going on a rampage, thanks to the way DedSec reputation works. And there is a reason to be careful beside that, the game populates the city with your agents, potential agents and their relatives. But you can use auto drive feature to avoid accidents while driving, and thanks to deep profiler you can indirectly heal people you accidentally harmed. On top of that all agents have non-lethal weapons, and the game tracks how many people each agent killed. If you holster your weapon enemies that detect you will just try to kick your ass using melee combat. Even if someone decides to pull out their gun, you can hack their guns. Unlike WD2 the game doesn't force you to neutralize enemies using one specific way only, because they don't wake up after KOs, and you can hide their bodies using AR cloak. And you have a dedicated crouch button instead of unreliable auto-crouch. And there is a very hardcore resistance difficulty mode. TLDR: Legion fixed all major issues WD stealth always had. It's really fun to play the game stealthily and/or non-lethally. Its stealth is very unique and thrilling, because your character can die.
Just started playing this, after picking it up for 12 quid on Amazon - not sold on it yet tbh, the new system of having members is odd, and seems to dictate what guns etc you'll get. Glad I waited and didn't pay full price, as I was put off from the reviews and whatnot, when it came out.
Also, don't buy this game yet if you're on PS Plus. Sales are slowing, the updates have stopped, and you can almost guarantee Legion will show up on PS Plus one of these upcoming months. Ubisoft still gets paid by Sony for those PS Plus downloads so when sales slow down enough Ubi will put it on PS Plus so gamers feel like the game is free but Sony still pays Ubi for your download. Mark my words! Save your cash and get it then! 😎
I've never played a Watch Dogs game but WD2 is coming to PS Extra this month. No next-gen update as far as I know. Just finished Ashen, have you played that one? Decent Soulslike.
I'm playing it now and I end up pretty much rotating between the three characters that have automatic weapons. Is there really no way for any character to get those weapons? Seems weird. Anyway, despite some obtuse "WTF is going on what am I supposed to be doing?" early on, I'm really enjoying the game now.

Never played this, but I did buy it a few months ago. Been sitting on the shelf collecting dust. Guess I'll plop the disc in and decide to either keep playing it or put it back on the shelf. 🤔
I guess I lost a lot of initial enjoyment with this game because of expectations. I wanted it to be the pinnacle of Watch Dogs gameplay. After 2 upgraded the formula so well it seemed this was bound to be one of Ubi’s best games ever. Even if it wasn’t, I find myself enjoying it more now that I know what it is. It’s not a great game, but there’s fun to be had just beating corrupt Albion guards with a cartoonish-looking takedown.
I think the game made a mistake by killing off Dalton. Dalton was basically the central protagonist and could’ve served as the leader while the playable recruits are still there and randomized.
@@acunt total opposite for me I find america pretty ugly and very overrated so it was a nice change for once I’m hoping one day we will get a setting in my country in Italy
Ubisoft should know more about daily affairs in London. I cannot accept the art set dat Brixton are still in Grime century in 2050. They should add more drill songs to the car playlist
I downloaded this game from the PS Store, was mildly entertained for a few hours, and haven't played it since. Without a main protagonist,, and with various other issues including tiresome bland stereotypes, it never drew me in. If I want London in a video game, I'd much rather play Assassin's Creed: Syndicate. At least there are relatable and likeable characters there.
I'm seeing so many mixed reviews for this game It's on sale right now in the ps store, but should I wait for it to possibly become free for ps+ members?

Having Rule Britannia playing in the background of the vid made me laugh. All the characters do sound over the top stereotypical though, Im Aussie and it would be like playing a game set here but everybody flat out sounds like Steve Irwin (who was over the top even by Aussie standards)
the voice tech was the most horrible idea. main reason being that the tambre of peoples voices change with the pitch so if you just change the pitch its going to sound so fake.
the game had huge potential but the share amount of horrible dialogue and repetitive quest (also the AI in this game is like in 2002 games) ( basically go to a place which is a red off-limits area hack something when leave the area go another part of the map by car or using metro complete the quest leave and done then again come to the same place with different objectives do the same )force me to quiet the game after 20 hours of play and soo soo low amount of side quest and activity. truth to be told you just only need 1 crew member and fully complete the basic game proves how they poorly implement their creative thought. missing sounds like when you jump into water there is no splashing sound and so low amount of tech upgrade and skill mechanic on your character drove me mental they went sooo low they didn't even put a phone animation when you open your map or something and sooo more if this is the game every one want to play then i have nothing to say it really hurts cause I loved watch dogs 1 and 2 specially 1 even though its far prom a perfect game.
less parkour, more stealth options. OK game for gameplay SPOILERS MORE SPOILERS!! Cant understand Sabina's move in uniting DedSec again, making more chaos? Without any backstory shes trying to destroy UK 💀
Even though online gets alot of hate, i actually really enjoy it. Better than most games these days. I wish they would bring out a watch dogs game purely for online mode with much more content and missions etc. they kinda let wd legion online slowly die.
Jolly good review, what what! Funniest review yet! I can attest that we Americans stereotype everybody, even ourselves. Seriously, though, I snagged this game for a song on Steam and have yet to load it up. Maybe I’ll give it a go after I binge watch some BBC.
Playing it now for the first time and….i have mixed feelings. I love the recreation of London (my home city) but in typical Ubisoft fashion, they’ve resorted to recycled formula under the pretense of a new system - the ability to play ANY NPC in the game. But because the dialogue is completely identical for each and every character during the main missions, there’s no core identity or any single character you can connect to. At all! Even when they die. So this new ‘innovative’ feature is nothing more than a hollow surface level gimmick. And because we now have randomized gear and abilities for every character instead of a clear upgrade system, there’s no incentive now to do side missions other than to get extra recruits - which often or not, involves you doing the exact same repetitive missions over and over and OVER again. 🤨 Oh, and the plot is the same shit as the previous two games so that doesn’t help matters. It’s a shame really, because the stealth and hacking is still fun to play but Ubisoft can’t help but be completely lacking in any real creativity or ambition with this series. Or any other of their franchises for that matter.
So lets say that you pick a random character, because they all have different abilities. And lets say you really like playing with that particular character, can you just keep going with the same 1 person nonstop? Or does the game kinda force you to switch. Also, lets say the character you're fond of playing with dies... that's it? Like you can't play with that character again for the duration of the specific game save you're using?
You can play with any character as long as you want, you can go through the whole game using one. And when they die they get put in jail and have a timer before you can use them again
They also all have prettt much all the same basic core abilities, so while some will be slightly better at some things, it’s not enough that you’d need certain kinds of people for certain missions
I kinda agree. Despite being 11 years old, the atmosphere of Skyrim is still incredible. It's one of the reasons I keep going back to it every now and then.
thinking about buying it, but the whole no main character system. i dont like the idea, i always like having one character to work on. plus i feel the over exaggerated, stereotypical British accents is going to p!ss me off
i like watchdogs 1 and 2. I would love the have 1 main char in legion and a big skill tree so i can build my own hacker and level him up and learn skill that fits my playstyle. And the mode where other haclkers can invade your world was fun in other watchdogs game. I realy hope they make another watchdogs game but take there time and do it right so its a very big game when it comes out and very polisht. Watchdogs is a grerat ip so i realy hope we see another one
The best part about this game is the Takedowns/Stealth you can do, its awesome! I have some footage of the takedowns from the spy and hitman operators on my channel if you where interested. Looks so dope
Can I only recruit spy/hitman type of people or does the game force you to play with other types? Also can I change clothing on my characters including guns? Gonna watch your vids to get an idea of that gameplay.
IMHO Watchdogs 1 was good, 2 was excellent, but Legion/London is so disjointed and lazily designed that I will likely not risk more than $10 on whatever comes next.
Legion sucked hard. No atmosphere; no interesting characters; crap character models; crap characters; throwaway storyline; boring gameplay; jerky, lazy, very limited character animations, crap vehicle mechanics; no interesting places to explore; crap graphics; crap enemy AI; enemies not intimidating at all; Bagley’s attempt at dry humour was constantly irritating. It's sad that we may never see another Watch Dogs game because Stealth Action and Hacking go hand-in-hand and those are my favorite genres of games.
Does the vehicle handling feel better than Watch dogs 2? I put that game down bcos I jst didn’t like the turning in particular.
It’s very unique for a game and I hope there’s another coming up!
this game is just a garbage based on stupid puzzles
@@osmanemral6092it's not garbage but it's also not that great lol
@@Brandon-yg7mw no it is garbage because it has no main protagonist with a family and past, and its plot isn't so intriguing as the previous games'
Im a very picky gamer and I could never get into the Watchdogs games but there's something about Legion that makes it strangely fun. Idk what it is.
Watchdogs legion is a pretty good game in its own right
I was already interested in the game, but you really made it sound cooler than what I already knew about it.
I enjoy the playing as Aiden Pearce and the gameplay is actually great. Graphics are amazing too on the PS5. IMO
This game was a masterpiece surprised its not that popular. Hint play with perma death on hard difficulty.
Really liked the game. Good gameplay. Infact I prefer this systematic approach rather than the shallow cookie cutter stuff from the prior games.
🗿
really...good for you mate.
LMFAO
I'd buy it for Aiden and Wrench.
Nice! hope it has been enjoyable for you.
What about the ultimate edition
@@diamondtheif4007 It also gives you watch dogs 1 with gold or ultimate edition!
I just downloaded this and love it, I use other characters but I mainly use the same one just so it can feel like one protagonist.
When you think of all that you can control in it gets a bit overwhelming
How in the hell do you not have more subs? This is one of the best channels on YT. It's a crime!!
Thanks man!!
I kind of hope rockstar borrows this playable npc idea for one of the three characters in gta 6. Keep two as set but then recruit your third
I love the British phrases sprinkled throughout this video😂😂
Honestly, I’m also not one to worry about voices and lip syncing, it’s just that terrible in WD Legion.
It was a pretty neat trick to add all these playable characters, with endless possibilities and options, but like you said, I miss a main character, like Aiden & Marcus in the previous two.
I somehow feel this is softer version of GTA online, just with a lot more futuristic and current tech.
Will I play it again, when I’m done. Probably not. Let’s hope the next one, they get it right.

I missed the whole release and I bought a new series s recently so for $15 it’s a steal for me 🤣
Also the game world looks beautiful. Does London really look like this?
Minus the drones and other bots flying about, it’s not far off.
I would get this, but I like to have a main protag. I like to relate and care for the main characters.
Yeah pretty much the same for me.
Just started playing this, after picking it up for 12 quid on Amazon - not sold on it yet tbh, the new system of having members is odd, and seems to dictate what guns etc you'll get. Glad I waited and didn't pay full price, as I was put off from the reviews and whatnot, when it came out.
I like this game and I use to say: Watch dogs Legion is not about what you do in the map but what you do with the agents. It is a game about people
This is on sale for £8 at the moment. This vid was very helpful, will definitely be buying and giving it a crack! Thanks man.
What if I want dlc operators tho
I bought it for 2$ best 2$ ever spent. Cant believe i slept on this game
I've never played a Watch Dogs game but WD2 is coming to PS Extra this month. No next-gen update as far as I know.
Just finished Ashen, have you played that one? Decent Soulslike.
Ashen is one thats slipped me by! I remember it being released and totally forgot about it after that. I’ll check it out man!
Watch Dogs 2 is so good! One of the best open worlds ever
The best watch dogs is 2
I'm playing it now and I end up pretty much rotating between the three characters that have automatic weapons. Is there really no way for any character to get those weapons? Seems weird. Anyway, despite some obtuse "WTF is going on what am I supposed to be doing?" early on, I'm really enjoying the game now.
It is going to be on PS Extra this month. I didn't want to pay for it. Now I get to check it out.
I hate the driving in this game. Something is off and I don't know what.
Probably the driving
The camera controlling isn’t it?
handling?
Picked it up for $8 during the Steam Sumemr Sale. No regrets, fun game.
I got a question, there's a way to solve Deleting Save problem in Xbox Series s?
Makes fun of how America portrays Brits,
Proceeds to say wacky British slang
Right?!? 😆I couldn't understand pretty much every other word. Mayb he was just beiNg ironic? Not sure.
nvR did surmise whether or not he recommends playing in 2022🤷🏼♂️
He was being ironic.
Did you have the video on mute for the first 2 minutes? He literally says word for word that he will sprinkle as much stereotypical phrases as possible
Still looking for a game with recruitment system similar to Watch dogs legion
Mgs5 phanton pain not exactly same but pretty much same
Never played this, but I did buy it a few months ago. Been sitting on the shelf collecting dust. Guess I'll plop the disc in and decide to either keep playing it or put it back on the shelf. 🤔
Are you playing on PS5 or PS4?? Because yout frame rate is unstable and low while mine on ps5 ig 60 fps basically locked
I always though the map in this game just looked so ugly. It’d be hard to top Watch Dogs 2 though. That map was beautiful.
it is london, after all.
@@acunt total opposite for me I find america pretty ugly and very overrated so it was a nice change for once I’m hoping one day we will get a setting in my country in Italy
Bro all metropolitans look the same wtf do you mean 😂😂
Seeing how this game can look pretty decent makes it look even worse playing on last gen (Xbox One S).
This game still looks absolutely amazing. I do hope that Unisoft make another London based game. In clouding the next watchdogs game based in London
GTA 6 will be better with a bigger open world and realistic people
Bought it for 30$ years ago playing now in 23
Its a decent game. The recruitment aspect kinda reminds me of Pokémon as well... I knew Bob's your uncle but Fanny is your aunt makes it funnier.

Ubisoft should know more about daily affairs in London. I cannot accept the art set dat Brixton are still in Grime century in 2050. They should add more drill songs to the car playlist
Isn't there still a save bug on this game?
I downloaded this game from the PS Store, was mildly entertained for a few hours, and haven't played it since. Without a main protagonist,, and with various other issues including tiresome bland stereotypes, it never drew me in. If I want London in a video game, I'd much rather play Assassin's Creed: Syndicate. At least there are relatable and likeable characters there.
I'm seeing so many mixed reviews for this game
It's on sale right now in the ps store, but should I wait for it to possibly become free for ps+ members?
It’s $11.99 right now w PS+ I have it downloading right now. I loved WD and WD2. Was very disappointed w the look of this one but I’ll see what it’s about

What laptop brand and configuration you have? I play mainly on consoles but as I’m on the road at least a few times a year I started looking to replace my old MSI with gtx970m. After almost 6 years it still works pretty ok for older games, but it is time to move on.
Having Rule Britannia playing in the background of the vid made me laugh. All the characters do sound over the top stereotypical though, Im Aussie and it would be like playing a game set here but everybody flat out sounds like Steve Irwin (who was over the top even by Aussie standards)
the voice tech was the most horrible idea. main reason being that the tambre of peoples voices change with the pitch so if you just change the pitch its going to sound so fake.
the game had huge potential but the share amount of horrible dialogue and repetitive quest (also the AI in this game is like in 2002 games) ( basically go to a place which is a red off-limits area hack something when leave the area go another part of the map by car or using metro complete the quest leave and done then again come to the same place with different objectives do the same )force me to quiet the game after 20 hours of play and soo soo low amount of side quest and activity. truth to be told you just only need 1 crew member and fully complete the basic game proves how they poorly implement their creative thought. missing sounds like when you jump into water there is no splashing sound and so low amount of tech upgrade and skill mechanic on your character drove me mental they went sooo low they didn't even put a phone animation when you open your map or something and sooo more if this is the game every one want to play then i have nothing to say it really hurts cause I loved watch dogs 1 and 2 specially 1 even though its far prom a perfect game.
idk the “pick who you could be” when all the models look trashy and have no character personality build makes the game extremely boring
Fuck it here is a New subscriber for you #keepupthegoodwork!
I like the Ubisoft Watch Dogs games but I'm so sick and tired of Assassin's Creed and Far Cry shit they need to put it to rest for a while
Couldn't you jump into any (n)pc in one of the driver games?
less parkour, more stealth options. OK game for gameplay

Good review. Really accurate, and funny too, lol.
Even though online gets alot of hate, i actually really enjoy it. Better than most games these days.
I wish they would bring out a watch dogs game purely for online mode with much more content and missions etc. they kinda let wd legion online slowly die.
They dont need no more watchdog games for now. We need a GTA 6. That's what we need and GTA 6 will destroy watchdogs legion overall.
Top review man
Thanks man 👊
Jolly good review, what what!
Oh, and the plot is the same shit as the previous two games so that doesn’t help matters.
It’s a shame really, because the stealth and hacking is still fun to play but Ubisoft can’t help but be completely lacking in any real creativity or ambition with this series. Or any other of their franchises for that matter.
i couldn't get through the whole video my ears hurt
this game is underrated it’s a nice game not the best but decent enough to enjoy if someone says otherwise ur slow
If Skyrim is one of the most immersive games you've ever played then I don't know what to say to you buddy
Then what is the most immersive game to you?
@@quinten01 fortnight
I kinda agree. Despite being 11 years old, the atmosphere of Skyrim is still incredible. It's one of the reasons I keep going back to it every now and then.
Skyrim is very immersive
Ppl always say this, then when you ask them for something better besides Witcher 3 they’re like “uhhh… well… ummm…”
thinking about buying it, but the whole no main character system. i dont like the idea, i always like having one character to work on. plus i feel the over exaggerated, stereotypical British accents is going to p!ss me off
i like watchdogs 1 and 2.
1:10 but that's how false flags work.
I encountered a white lady with the manliest Jamaican accent. Lost it for 5 minutes 🤣
I love the aesthetic of this game and the gameplay is aight but the lack of a main character and crap lore kind of make it fall short.
Yorkshire pudding don't have eggs in it.
I bought it on sale for like 10 euros it was this game for me or the new saint row and im happy i pickt this game
Ah yes the farting deadsec leader making everyone in her employ pass out from all the farting she does
Why can't they do it like assassins
The best part about this game is the Takedowns/Stealth you can do, its awesome! I have some footage of the takedowns from the spy and hitman operators on my channel if you where interested. Looks so dope
Can I only recruit spy/hitman type of people or does the game force you to play with other types? Also can I change clothing on my characters including guns? Gonna watch your vids to get an idea of that gameplay.
IMHO Watchdogs 1 was good, 2 was excellent, but Legion/London is so disjointed and lazily designed that I will likely not risk more than $10 on whatever comes next.
Are there Lambo’s?
I have a fairly decent PC and I can't play this game without stutter.
Did anyone else have this problem?
Legion sucked hard. No atmosphere; no interesting characters; crap character models; crap characters; throwaway storyline; boring gameplay; jerky, lazy, very limited character animations, crap vehicle mechanics; no interesting places to explore; crap graphics; crap enemy AI; enemies not intimidating at all; Bagley’s attempt at dry humour was constantly irritating. I could go on but I don’t have all day. It sucked to high hell and back.
Ah god save the queen playing in the background absolute magic right there plus it's london what could go wrong yeah?
