What console did you play on? The PS4 has some bugs like you pointed out but the XboxOne X I would stay away from until it's been patched. Ubisoft know about the issues especially the XboxOne X issues, completely shutting down the XboxOne X because of overheating that's scary a game can do that. EuroGamer didn't an article about it and it's been happening to other reviewers too on the XboxOne X. I going to get it for the PS5.
The NPC doesn’t really have conversations with one another as much as they should... I know you will say “but they are already PC” but come on the world feels empty and cars feel ok but a sports car feels similar to a taxi you are gonna drive.... I don't care if this game sucks. I'm getting this game just to explore the city. I've never been to London before because my parents always drag me to either Florida, Texas, and Peru just to visit family. They're excuse for going to the UK is "But we gotta visit our family back home". So yeah, Watch Dogs Legion is my virtual plane ticket to London
I’m glad to see people responding to the gameplay and actuary taking the time to play the game instead of dying in a mission then going on a rant about how bad the game mechanics Are compared to GTA 5 or red dead redemption 2 both games I love but not every game needs to be judged purity on those 2 games and judging on how little people are complaining about the frame rate apart from the pc version I’m guessing the long delay was useful after all in my opinion assassins creed Valhalla needs a lot longer in development time I’m not seeing a huge amount of improvement since the launch announcement
My main problem with the Watch Dogs series after the first game is embracing DedSec. Making them the clear “good guys” in a game where there really isn’t supposed to be one. As seen at the end of the first game, even Aiden Pierce saw them as not clearly good. It’s a group of hackers without real leadership which poses a danger to “bad guys” taking over the group who may have the right goals but do the wrong things. WDs was a great game because of the story it told in my opinion.
After falling in love with Cyberpunk 2077, I got sick of waiting for GTA 6 so I got GTA 5 & RDR 2. The only other GTA like game that looks like a good alternative other than Cyberpunk 2077, Grand Theft Auto, and Red Dead Redemption is the Watch Dogs franchise and to me Watch Dogs: Legion looks the best to me. I’m just worried about the gameplay loop. I’m not a big Ubisoft fan because I don’t enjoy the mindless repetitive gameplay loop they use in most of their games. Does anyone know how the gameplay loop is? Is there plenty of variation of missions? Thanks! This sums up the game perfectly. Thanks for the review!
before i watch the video i would like to say. To everyone not sure about this game. Get it for the open world sim nature of it if not for anyting else. That alone deserves praise

This game makes me remember a time when I was a kid playing GTA Vice City with a bunch of cheats. The cheat I wanted the most but couldn't find was one to be somebody else (ex. police officer or similar), so in a way, WDL is a fulfillment of that wish when I was a kid, with all the sandbox fun from GTA Vice City! 😁 It's so refreshing to see an open-world game set in a present/future that is truly OPEN (most of open-world games today are semi-open where it's open when you are roaming around, but as soon as you pick mission game becomes linear *cough* Rockstar *cough*)
Keep in mind it isn't out yet so loading times might be cut down to a reasonable time, and some of the graphics might be fixed. But this was really helpful thx.
No matter how many times I hear this guys voice reviewing... it always sounds like one of those computer voice text to speech programs you see on various UA-cam videos.
There is a crouch button. But in the other games, when you were in a restricted area, your character would automatically crouch. A button wasnt needed in those games but this one, they decided to make a button for it
It’s alright. The recruit aspect is cool, but definitely took away from the story, besides that I prefer the previous 2 games tbh. That’s just me though. It’s still a fun game regardless
Looks like the game mechanics are promising for a potential 9/10 game, but the childish/hipster layer on top and the 'Ubisoft-bug-itis' that plague this game detract from the experience...
Now let’s talk about how yeah it’s awesome you can recruit and play as anyone, but there only like 5 or 6 different types of recruitment missions😒. I’ve got like 20 something people on my roster, and I’ve had to do the same handful of things to get them to join up. it’s the main reason I haven’t even played in long time.
It’s because of the story I believe gameplay looks raw but I fell in love with the first one and I played it on the ps3 wd2 I still haven’t beat i love the world but the story got boring for me
Once the novelty of recruiting anyone wears off, you realize the world is empty & dead as you described. Also you can do any missions with any character as they basically all can do the same basic stealth takedowns & shit it’s not that diverse. Typical Ubisoft item collecting, enemy base clearing. Only interiors for entertainment purposes are pubs. No real reason to go. Money so far I’ve seen is only used to buy shitty clothes. I seen a soccer ball with a prompt to play with it but who cares lol.
You mighy wanna buy the game first and not base it off some game reviewer. And buy the final product of the game, it will spawn in NPCs like gta so its never be dead if you leave the area and come back. Like nothing happened.

Can't wait to pick this up for 20 bucks! No way in hell would I pay full price for this.
Sabine sounds exactly like pirate Kidd from assassins creed 4 and it’s nice hearing her voice again I loved the character in that game
I can't wait to to pick this up tomorrow and play it
Same
What console did you play on? The PS4 has some bugs like you pointed out but the XboxOne X I would stay away from until it's been patched. Ubisoft know about the issues especially the XboxOne X issues, completely shutting down the XboxOne X because of overheating that's scary a game can do that. EuroGamer didn't an article about it and it's been happening to other reviewers too on the XboxOne X. I going to get it for the PS5.
9/10, solid review, thanks.
I platinum trophied WD 1 and couldn't get into 2 at all finished like 4 missions only. This looks like fun I'll pick this up around Xmas
It's a wait for sale here.
The NPC doesn’t really have conversations with one another as much as they should...
I know you will say “but they are already PC” but come on the world feels empty and cars feel ok but a sports car feels similar to a taxi you are gonna drive....
Don’t know about that one but I hope they fix it...........
I had an experience where the sister of a Albion captain I was trying to hire was gun down by Albion which was really interesting you’ll also come across family members and friends of people you have listed or members of your team.
Holy shit I'm so excited for this game!
Same
Good thing is that this game comes with Uplay+ so you can pay $15 USD and basically have the game for the time being.
Really helps cut down cost.
Me: *Wonders why his aim is such ass*
Him: "...reset to my console's home screen"
Me: "Ahhhhhhhhh"
I can't wait for this Watch Dogs
you should watch ACG and downward thrust first
Lol I bought watchdogs legion gold edition and just realised you get watchdog 1 for free with it so even if legion is bad I still have wd1 to somewhat ease my loss?
£32 atm on amazon and game. or £55 for ultimate, PS5 version.
My question, is the ultimate worth it? I feel like £32 is a good price.
It's Borough not borrow in the UK
I don't care if this game sucks. I'm getting this game just to explore the city. I've never been to London before because my parents always drag me to either Florida, Texas, and Peru just to visit family. They're excuse for going to the UK is "But we gotta visit our family back home". So yeah, Watch Dogs Legion is my virtual plane ticket to London
They should have made the map bigger, nothing close to the map in watch dogs 2.
I order the gold but couldn't download the first game??? Help I feel cheated 😅
It will unlock upon legions release this is done so people dont play wd1 and refund legion
@@nooker1220 thank you
Total how many characters we can play ?
I'm still interested in seeing the multiplayer part of this game. The hype has died alot after watching several hours of story mode play though vids for me.
I people are crazy I watch u tubers to see if they like it wow what about what u like anyway who cares if u get or not I’m having a blast and so are slot of people
@@nateallen219 Oh I will get it sooner or later. I just like multiplayer better on most games for long term playability.
Driving has been improved considerably? That's great news
I pretty saw the ending from the start
6:09 is that Sully from uncharted
How long is the campaign
This review is so much better than that shitty ign review. This definitely is the best watch dogs game to date !
It's so refreshing to see an open-world game set in a present/future that is truly OPEN (most of open-world games today are semi-open where it's open when you are roaming around, but as soon as you pick mission game becomes linear *cough* Rockstar *cough*)
Keep in mind it isn't out yet so loading times might be cut down to a reasonable time, and some of the graphics might be fixed. But this was really helpful thx.
I've got the game downloaded just waiting till midnight
When will it arrive?
@@AabhasTiwari midnight UK time
I was looking for a game that scratched my stealth itch since assassins creed went full on RE4 action game, and this fits nicely.
No matter how many times I hear this guys voice reviewing... it always sounds like one of those computer voice text to speech programs you see on various UA-cam videos.
Get the upgraded spider bot and use a construction worker with access to cargo drones and you basically beat the game.
Is there a crouch button hated how there wasn't In the other ones
There is a crouch button. But in the other games, when you were in a restricted area, your character would automatically crouch. A button wasnt needed in those games but this one, they decided to make a button for it
Picking this up at Funcoland tomorrow lol anyone old enough to remember that place?
Is there coop?
I'm going to wait an see what people who weren't given review copies of the game say about it
It’s alright. The recruit aspect is cool, but definitely took away from the story, besides that I prefer the previous 2 games tbh. That’s just me though. It’s still a fun game regardless
I’ve heard enough.
But “burrow”?😂
@@Die-Angst I was laughing at the pronunciation 😂
It sounded okay for me
Then again
I don't have a british accent
It so funny watching most none British reviewers pronounce it.
I disagree about the story aspect of Watch Dogs. The first one had a very compelling story and was a blast to play.
I enjoy it! My only gripe making money is a GRIND and it crashes a lot for me
Still in two minds about getting this. I like the concept but the gameplay looks a bit clunky.
guys guys, please reply. Should i cancel and refund my cyberpunk pre order, or should i just wait?
Keep it and wait
will this work on ps4 pro? more importantly, how will the graphics look?
It’s on ps4/pro, ps5, and Xbox one/s/x and series x and s. Graphics will look good on whatever you play, but better on next gen consoles.
This game is almost more a documentary than fiction.
Anyone else here like me are piss because we pre order RTX 30 series but not getting the bundle?
The only thing I hate about it is that it comes out tomorrow and today is my birthday so I can’t get it as a present...
Pre order
@@nigerianman8700 Oh yeah right
@@nigerianman8700 sorry I’m big dumb
@@donovanmariandrexel7901 Why would you say sorry? Especially to me, I’ve been more stupid than this haha
And happy birthday 🥳
It's ironic that this map is 25% smaller THAN THE ORIGINAL WATCH DOGS game
Shame it's not on Steam yet
Looks like the game mechanics are promising for a potential 9/10 game, but the childish/hipster layer on top and the 'Ubisoft-bug-itis' that plague this game detract from the experience...
If you want to play as a hipster, go right ahead, I'll be playing as a secret agent, an assassin and many other characters as well.
ANYONE READ???????
WHY IS IT SAYING - Pre-Purchase not ''buy'' ????????
I don't like that NPC's don't call the cops anymore. On top of that it is ridiculously easy to escape the cops.
Have you ever seen the police patrol in this game? Theyve been replaced by Albion and relegated to guard/desk duty.
@@thedopesonokay well albion is way too easy to get away from
Can’t wait to play it tomorrow
When you can play as everyone... you might as well play as no one...
Can you finally play this franchise as a F*ing hacker not shooting or killing anyone or is it still heavily combat focused?
The range of non-lethal weapons has expanded since WD2. I plan to play non-lethally unless there's no other option.
Yes you can
WD1- Awesome Story and Protagonist
WD2- great gameplay
WDL- I'll edit this comment when I'm done playing
I liked WD1. LOVED WD2... Why am I not feeling this one?😰 I’ve watched every preview & I still don’t feel the need to play this.
It’s because of the story I believe gameplay looks raw but I fell in love with the first one and I played it on the ps3 wd2 I still haven’t beat i love the world but the story got boring for me
I think it looks awesome and will buy it tomorrow
Probably the lack of a protagonist. Play as everyone is the main pull fir me but i get why people wouldn't feel it
Just started playing it and throughly enjoying it
This game looks great cant wait
Why is everyone saying the story was never the main focus in watchdogs?
I heard the world was very dead, not a lot of npc’s very empty.
@@Olsens13 thank you for you honesty 💯 we need to fight back and demand better games for the money they make
You mighy wanna buy the game first and not base it off some game reviewer. And buy the final product of the game, it will spawn in NPCs like gta so its never be dead if you leave the area and come back. Like nothing happened.
I preordered the gold edition can i play as wrench when the game releases?
I don't mind there's no main protagonist. I see this more like a open world sandbox rogue lite.
Wouldn’t be nice to be able to drive around London with that traffic. 🙄
Do i need to play the other Watch Dog games first?
No
