I made a gofundme once when I was homeless and my dog needed a $4000 surgery. It ended up raising around $1300, and even though every cent went toward to the surgery I still felt so damn dirty. I don't know how these people do it. EDIT: well this has garnered way more attention than expected. Thanks to everyone who shared kind words, it made me smile reading them. Of course this wouldn't be UA-cam without the comments calling me a liar, an idiot, etc. For the sake of visibility and for those wondering, my beagle is recovering nicely and we are both in a better place now. This video reminded me how much of a disservice it was for UA-cam to remove the dislike button. I know it sounds silly but the dislike button actually held a lot of weight and helps us to hold people accountable. With the button hidden, family channels and vlogging channels can basically do whatever they want without their audiences knowing that they are problematic or scammers. The dislike button alerts people to the behavior explained in this video.
It's not gone, it's just lazily hidden. Anyone can easily get it back with a Chrome extension. If you want to go see the dislikes again, go get it, I love seeing how little effect the "removal" has had.

So therefore, these channels will continue and unless you go into the comments, you won't know that millions of people are unhappy with them or that they're scamming. And the button being hidden is entirely the problem. I know that its still there but hidden. But that's the entire point I'm trying to make.

I just buried my sister in January. It cost us ten thousand dollars. She was 140 pounds. I sincerely doubt that they were trying to raise $1500 for funeral expenses. That would not have even covered the casket. To people like me, people who actually had to plan their sister's funerals, this is worse than a slap in the face.

Can we just talk about the poor guy who tried so hard to make artwork for this horrible person, yet when he asked for just payment, he got his artwork attributed to someone else and blocked? I actually watch 1k pound sister with my wife. Amy seems like she’s become a better person but who knows what goes on when the cameras are off. Tammy on the other hand is not a good person and will likely succumb to her weight within the next few years if she doesn’t turn it around. Okay story time. I work at a glamping site, my manager one day tells me were having a reality TV show come and stay at our tents.... turns out it was guess who? The 1000 pound sisters. Well they stayed the night and I go in the tent the next day to clean it all just to realize both bed frames were broken, a chair leg had snapped off from the fire pit seating, and 2 peddle boats had been sunken into the lake. These 2 ladies aren't fun to deal with, very mean, very arrogant, and very self centered. Took me an extra 3 hours to get the boats out of the water and fix the beds...screw tlc screw 1000 pound sisters

It’s so sad how common this is. I remember a “family member” used my little brothers death as a way to earn money. My parents were finally able to fully pay off the grave debt we had so my mom and dad could be buried together and this happened in 2015 and now finally paid it off in 2023. My mother literally cried knowing she was finally done paying it.
My Dad recently died of pneumonia complications. Parkinson’s and Covid. We had a great life together. He was a great man. He’d get a kick out of idiots like this, as we’d often laugh at the most outlandish things people would do. Pathetic.

I set up a gofundme to raise money for a trip for my dad, who's dying of cancer. I felt so bad setting it up and worse when I had to post it to my socials. I couldn't imagine doing it on some scammer bs. How someone can do something like this is beyond me. What a C atch U N ext T uesday.

Tammy has been on the brink of death daily for years , in all those years she could have saved and paid for her own upcoming funeral. She has been commiting suicide slowly with massive food intake for a long time. She has been given plenty of help and chances to help herself by losing weight. Do not fund people like that .
The only person we should feel bad for is her kid. Imagine these trolls being your parents. Can’t even take care of herself or a dog but they have children.
Tammy dieted, lost the required weight for her surgery, had the surgery & RETURNED to rehab to continue her weight loss routine. She returned to rehab WILLINGLY & of her own choosing! Tammy stayed focused on her diet & excercising, lost more weight & was released to return home where she stayed focused with the diet & STILL lost more weight. Amy, well, she dieted, lost the required weight for her surgery, had the surgery & well, WAY TOO MUCH drama & irresponsible decisions from there. She ignored, disrespected, and totally went AGAINST any & ALL professional advise about her food & pregnancies. Amy NEVER, EVER intended to return to the diet regime & the rest is WAY TOO MUCH to list here. I, as well as many of her public, have lost MUCH if not all the respect for Amy. Amy has done anything she could to piss off her public & Drs. And with her dogs, Little Bit WAS left in the car for some time but Tammy DID return to the car to give water, food & to walk Little Bit after Amy advised the dog would be ok. Tammy took care of the dog, NOT Amy! As for the shepherd Amy had at the trailer, Shelter services took control of the dog & after a few months it was adopted to a caring family. The dog is still with the family & doing well. Amy has some SERIOUS mental issues she needs to deal with. Those kids are going to suffer for her issues. I've learned to seriously dislike Amy very much. Amy ....... IMMATURE!
My granda had pneumonia, (he recovered) but visiting him in hospital and seeing him the way he was. (I was 11-12) it really hurt and that scam genuinely makes me feel so angry.

This reminds me of one scandal that happened in my town. A woman told everyone in town that she has cancer and many people gave her some money for medical bills. She also told a company where she was working about the situation and she received some money from her boss too. And then, we found out that she was faking it so she could buy something that was kinda expensive. What is wrong with people?
An ex of mine actually had cancer when she was little, but said she was out of remission to manipulate me into getting back together with her. She also swindled me out of $400 for "treatment" but it was to pay her husband's rent. That fucked me up for a while.

I work in a hospital ER and people don’t understand you literally can go from being on life-support to being OK the very next day. Sometimes it does work like that as crazy as it sounds. I’ve seen it myself. But I never understood why she was going for a casket when cremating her would be so much cheaper and actually easier.

Already bought plots or not, 99% of cremation machines are too small for people of their size. If there is a cremation machine large enough, it can still cause problems for the machine. (Uh dunno the details on that, tbh) Also pacemakers explode in there, no idea if either of the sisters has one, but high chances.

I've seen them do absolutely NOTHING to change their weight, yeah they momentarily did excerise and try to eat a healthier diet once in a blue but they didn't stick to it or gave up. They went back to their unhealthy methods and just gained more weight.

I lost my beloved kaliko cat a couple years ago while homeless in Cuba Illinois. Her name was Little Bit. She was the most loyal and loving friend I've ever had. Just hearing her name tears me apart and I can't express the deepness of my hatred for animal abusers. I love you Little Bit, and I hope you're healthy and happy wherever you are.

A few years ago, I set up a GoFundMe because my house was destroyed in a tornado and I no longer had a job since my work was also destroyed. The funds were supposed be for groceries and to pay a friend for their kindness for letting me and my family stay with them. I only got about 100 dollars with a majority of it being from people I knew already. Setting up the GoFundMe was hard emotionally as well because I felt like I was being a burden for others. I felt like I didn’t have a choice though... Seeing that these pig-humans did something so disgusting without a second thought and actually amassed so much makes me so pissed off that I can’t even describe it.
The reason that you didn't get much positive responses to your GFM is that to much youtube and social media scammers have abused the GFM system and people dont trust people who ask for money on GFM anymore .
Honestly, funding the funeral is the most tame thing in their whole story. It's understandable, they're overweight and pneumonia has a pretty high rate of death for morbid obese individuals. It was a death sentence to some degree However, the stuff like the animal abuse and tax scams, I think deserve far more criticism than the funeral thing. Regardless they're terrible people.

After hearing about the animal abuse, I really want to punch them. I have raised and sadly lost many pets that were abused by humans and it is horrible how scarred they are.

I'm schizophrenic, I know I can't trust myself enough to have a pet. If I have a psychosis, I can be out for weeks. I'd love to have a pet though, like the sisters, but unlike them I know I can't. I respect animals too much to even think about possibly harming one. Knowing your limits is a path to a good life... at least i hope so. I'm not there yet, if ever.

my ex husband and i are both musicians, but he is pretty well known. When he got lung cancer, we both had to cancel tours and shows, and had no income. A fan of his started a GoFundMe, and raised more than $25,000 in less than 2 weeks! We made it last for over a year too. It was such an enormous blessing for us! Because of that money, I got to stay home and take care of him. It helped him recover faster. He was back on stage a little over a year after surgery and his long hair started growing back too! (but, in ringlets tho!)

Recently buried my grandpa who passed away after battling a terminal brain tumor for the past two years. He had 2 brain surgeries, expensive treatments, and round-the-clock home visits from nurses. My grandma had to sell some of their farmland to fund the treatments...their behavior makes me sick to my stomach.
You never just “throw out” medical documents, you burn them, shred them, or keep them until they are no longer relevant. Y’know personal information and all that medical history is pretty important not to just throw away
I have over 100 pounds of medical from a serious work injury and the resulting fight with workers comp. I would never toss a scrap of that. It turned into a 15 year legal fight.
My hospital did the ridiculously irresponsible thing of putting my twin brother's medical information in my records and vice versa, including such things as putting his mental health diagnoses on my chart and putting my lupus diagnosis on his. I discovered this after I pulled paper copies of my medical files, and a lot of files were shredded (I wish I had burned them instead) after I finally got whose medical history was whose sorted out with them.

If Tammy was on disability then she should be on Medicaid and a secondary insurance, which is also free, that covers 90 to 100 percent of medical bills as far as I'm aware so why are they saying they needed all this money to pay the hospital????
@Future Pants I've been on Medicaid with added secondary insurance through Medicaid so I too know the crapshoot it is to find private doctors to accept it. Like my dentist is over an hour away, had to change GP's because they didn't want to deal with medicaid anymore, does not cover chiropractor, and getting mental health help is almost not worth it. But most major hospitals accept it. This case was also for pneumonia treatment which would be covered. I'm not sure about life support. If the hospital she was at didn't accept medicaid they would have had her go to a different one, either by herself if she was well enough or they would have stabilized her then moved her. So unless there isn't a hospital in her half of the state she would have been moved. I understand if they had to move her there would be bills associated with that but she could try to get reimbursed. It's happened to me a few time that I had to pay out of pocket for something but Medicaid reimbursed me some/all of it later after I submitted the right forms. Doesn't happen often that they will but it never hurts to try. Also unless they've moved to a totally different area for the shows filming she has been to a lot of doctors that seem to accept the Medicaid or she'd be complaining nonstop on the show about it. She'd never miss something so great to milk.

Not to defend them but I worked in the funeral industry for about a year and it is extremely common for families especially those with financial problems to plan funerals before the person has passed. I’ve worked on several funerals where the person to be buried was in hospice care or the ICU with all funeral arrangements made for the person to recover and the funeral postponed. So I would say the dying Tammy scam probably wasn’t a scam to begin with but became such when Tammy recovered

I know it sounds silly but the dislike button actually held a lot of weight and helps us to hold people accountable. With the button hidden, family channels and vlogging channels can basically do whatever they want without their audiences knowing that they are problematic or scammers. The dislike button alerts people to the behavior explained in this video.
It's not gone, it's just lazily hidden. Anyone can easily get it back with a Chrome extension. If you want to go see the dislikes again, go get it, I love seeing how little effect the "removal" has had.

It’s so sad how common this is. I remember a “family member” used my little brothers death as a way to earn money. My parents were finally able to fully pay off the grave debt we had so my mom and dad could be buried together and this happened in 2015 and now finally paid it off in 2023. My mother literally cried knowing she was finally done paying it.

here. I, as well as many of her public, have lost MUCH if not all the respect for Amy. Amy has done anything she could to piss off her public & Drs. And with her dogs, Little Bit WAS left in the car for some time but Tammy DID return to the car to give water, food & to walk Little Bit after Amy advised the dog would be ok. Tammy took care of the dog, NOT Amy!
As for the shepherd Amy had at the trailer, Shelter services took control of the dog & after a few months it was adopted to a caring family. The dog is still with the family & doing well.
Amy has some SERIOUS
mental issues she needs to deal with. Those kids
are going to suffer for her

My granda had pneumonia, (he recovered) but visiting him in hospital and seeing him the way he was. (I was 11-12) it really hurt and that scam genuinely makes me feel so angry.

Blows my mind how she was approved for a rescue dog especially a German Shepard, just shows how negligent Kentucky is I lived 30 minutes from their house for 3 years. This reminds me of one scandal that happened in my town. A woman told everyone in town that she has cancer and many people gave her some money for medical bills. She also told a company where she was working about the situation and she received some money from her boss too. And then, we found out that she was faking it so she could buy something that was kinda expensive. What is wrong with people?
An ex of mine actually had cancer when she was little, but said she was out of remission to manipulate me into getting back together with her. She also swindled me out of $400 for "treatment" but it was to pay her husband's rent. That fucked me up for a while.

This makes me sick especially because my dad just went to the ER and has been there for a while from pneumonia. I genuinely wonder how people look at themselves in the mirror and think this is okay.
I work in a hospital ER and people don’t understand you literally can go from being on life-support to being OK the very next day. Sometimes it does work like that as crazy as it sounds. I’ve seen it myself. But I never understood why she was going for a casket when cremating her would be so much cheaper and actually easier.

A few years ago, I set up a GoFundMe because my house was destroyed in a tornado and I no longer had a job since my work was also destroyed. The funds were supposed be for groceries and to pay a friend for their kindness for letting me and my family stay with them. I only got about 100 dollars with a majority of it being from people I knew already. Setting up the GoFundMe was hard emotionally as well because I felt like I was being a burden for others. I felt like I didn’t have a choice though... Seeing that these pig-humans did something so disgusting without a second thought and actually amassed so much makes me so pissed off that I can’t even describe it.
I try a GoFundMe page but my doesn't match what's on UA-cam I never got any money $0.00.

my ex husband and i are both musicians, but he is pretty well known. When he got lung cancer, we both had to cancel tours and shows, and had no income. A fan of his started a GoFundMe, and raised more than $25,000 in less than 2 weeks! We made it last for over a year too. It was such an enormous blessing for us! Because of that money, I got to stay home and take care of him. It helped him recover faster. He was back on stage a little over a year after surgery and his long hair started growing back too! (but, in ringlets tho!)

Recently buried my grandpa who passed away after battling a terminal brain tumor for the past two years. He had 2 brain surgeries, expensive treatments, and round-the-clock home visits from nurses. My grandma had to sell some of their farmland to fund the treatments...their behavior makes me sick to my stomach.

My hospital did the ridiculously irresponsible thing of putting my twin brother's medical information in my records and vice versa, including such things as putting his mental health diagnoses on my chart and putting my lupus diagnosis on his.
I discovered this after I pulled paper copies of my medical files, and a lot of files were shredded (I wish I had burned them instead) after I finally got whose medical history was whose sorted out with them.

If Tammy was on disability then she should be on Medicaid and a secondary insurance, which is also free, that covers 90 to 100 percent of medical bills as far as I'm aware so why are they saying they needed all this money to pay the hospital????
@Future Pants I've been on Medicaid with added secondary insurance through Medicaid so I too know the crapshoot it is to find private doctors to accept it.
Like my dentist is over an hour away, had to change GP's because they didn't want to deal with medicaid anymore, does not cover chiropractor, and getting mental health help is almost not worth it.
But most major hospitals accept it.
This case was also for pneumonia treatment which would be covered. I'm not sure about life support.
If the hospital she was at didn't accept medicaid they would have had her go to a different one, either by herself if she was well enough or they would have stabilized her then moved her. So unless there isn't a hospital in her half of the state she would have been moved.
I understand if they had to move her there would be bills associated with that but she could try to get reimbursed. It's happened to me a few time that I had to pay out of pocket for something but Medicaid reimbursed me some/all of it later after I submitted the right forms. Doesn't happen often that they will but it never hurts to try.
Also unless they've moved to a totally different area for the shows filming she has been to a lot of doctors that seem to accept the Medicaid or she'd be complaining nonstop on the show about it. She'd never miss something so great to milk.

Not to defend them but I worked in the funeral industry for about a year and it is extremely common for families especially those with financial problems to plan funerals before the person has passed. I’ve worked on several funerals where the person to be buried was in hospice care or the ICU with all funeral arrangements made for the person to recover and the funeral postponed. So I would say the dying Tammy scam probably wasn’t a scam to begin with but became such when Tammy recovered

People can evolve. They're just not the brightest imo....I do think however that the animal abuser was beyond out of line, irresponsible and down right cruel.
She's also been smoking and drinking during her pregnancy and in front of her child. Some people claim her and her husband are abusive towards the kid beyond that but I haven't seen proof of that yet

For those defending them saying they “can’t help it cuz they have a food addiction”, well guess what? I’ve had a drug and alcohol addiction my whole life and I’ve NEVER scammed anyone to get money for my addiction! I worked my whole life to get money for what I wanted, and eventually I was able to overcome it without ever asking anyone for a dime. Even if I had to go to rehab and didn’t have the money for it, u Can bet every penny someone gave me would go directly towards rehab, NOT drugs!
I don’t feel sorry for someone who keeps asking for Money to feed their addiction, all it does is enable them to never change. I bet all (or most) of the money raised went straight to food instead of resources that actually could’ve helped!! Like hiring a nutritionist who can show them what to buy and how to cook healthy alternatives to their favorite foods? When I say they, I mean mostly Tammy. If everyone’s paying for all her food, home nurses, and doctors bills she has no motivation to change!! It’s time to cut her off!!
They didn’t scam cause of their food addiction. They didn’t even really scam at all. There has been constant confirmations in the episodes of 1000lbs sisters. The doctor really did tell Amy and her family that tammy has a high risk of dying and he didn’t know if she’d make it. They even said that if she did good the money would go to medical bills. It’s hard to believe that they wouldn’t use the money on a month long ICU stay which can cost about 50,000 dollars. Or at least a little bit of the money

I only give direct, i.e.to people i see in front of me who are sufefring financially, e.g. the old German Lady I see collecting returnable bottles at 5 to 6 a.m. every morning from wastebins in a park nearby with a shabby old shopping trolley....i a few times a month give her some food, money, FFP covid masks, marmelade i cooked myself, etc.. Would like to give her my good present shopping trolley as well as i bought me a new one, however, i have not seen her for several weeks now.......I also every now and then pay some old pensioner s groceries at discount supermarkets who s standing in line in front of me if i have the impression they can hardly pay them.
