Medical professionals have the STRONGEST stomachs !! I couldn’t eat after doing surgery with the images still in my head😂😂😂😂 keep on doin what ya do doc!! I know your patients appreciate and love you ❤
It's actually not that bad. The first few times it might be a little bit weird. But you can still eat. People make it far worse than it is. But being surrounded by poop, pee, wounds is really not that disgusting when you work with it.
So true 😉 please remember the many others who are also human: nurses, assistants, porters etc. all have their part to play too. Have a good day, however you're spending it🙏

Thanks for your message - agreed again 🙂 all those daily things. I suppose I could have been a bit clearer that I was just generally reflecting about all the others involved. I've got friends on the admin side, who do unknown digital things that keep everyone going without them ever knowing any different (often with crazy hours during CV19 - some didn't get days off for many months). Love surgery content! Could you explain in another video what kind of surgeries an OB-GYN does an how frequently (like how many in a week or so)? Thanks ♥️ (Pd: in love with Ash😍)
They also do csection deliveries and such. I was supposed to get a hysteroscopy done (I think that’s how you spell it??). There’s other procedures that I’m drawing a blank on
You are the most relaxed doctor I’ve ever seen. You’re so cool, confident, and calm. I love it. 🌻 Thank you for these awesome videos. And talking about things that need to be discussed. I’m sending them to my mother who is due for a hysterectomy. Her doctor just performed a hysterectomy, and his patient (who is my moms childhood bestie) almost died during a hysterectomy. He did it the laser way, and punctured her intestines. Her intestines were left punctured for 10 hours after surgery. It wasn’t till her daughter who is an R.N. told the obygn that something was off about her mom. Her blood pressure was way off. The doctor did an MRI and back to surgery she had to go. She wound up in the ICU and is due for another surgery. This isn’t looking for my moms friend.
I don't think it is, I think they pay with their badge, I've seen it happen at a few hospitals I've been to where medical staff use their badges to pay for food, etc. @@keyd9846

I’m not ok with my surgeon wearing nail polish. I know most hysterectomies are done via DaVinci robot now, but no one is putting hands inside me w/out proper surgical hand hygiene including proper nail length. I don’t even think it’s ok for check up exams. ❤
Do you ever do myomectomies? Can you talk about the difference for those compared to hysterectomy? I am young and have uterine fibroids and am trying to learn more about both surgeries
I have a genuine question for you Ali. I just got released from surgery for a ruptured fallopian tube from an ectopic pregnancy. This is the 2nd non viable pregnancy this year alone and 2nd time I've almost bled to death. They removed the ruptured tube and embryo of course, but refused to remove my other tube. I have 2 healthy children already and in my mid 30s. I'm just lost for words why they would put me through ANOTHER surgery to remove the other tube that could have been removed while I was in surgery just Monday. What would you have done if I were your patient?
Just subscribed, sure wish ob/gyn's like you had been around when I was a youngster, I was sexualy predated upon for years from the Gyno my mother had me see, I thought it was normal, that this is how it was, I've never told anyone, I'm 63 now
Is there any truth about the residents "learning" a females anatomy while patient is under anesthesia? Usually teaching hospitals but not always. They ask you if you mind a resident being in the OR but usually unaware that they are examining patient as well.?
They obviously learn the anatomy in anatomy class and while they are in surgery they are just familiarizing themselves with What they already learned...
One huge con for me is it caused a lot of scar tissue so now with my current pregnancy I have placenta accreta which is very scary and I will have to have my uterus removed after my c section. You can still get placenta accreta even if you haven't had c sections but it's a bigger possibility if you've had em.
There's no benefit unless it's a medical emergency which is about 2% of cases who actually need them. This is major abdominal surgery after all. But they manage to convince 1/3 of women to get unnecessary surgery, usually by fear tactics. It's more convenient for doctors if they can schedule your L&D. Not to mention they make more $. Don't use an OB-GYN unless you are referred to one by your midwife for an emergent situation. They are surgeons and they handle labors with surgery in mind.
@@Ayverie4 No OBGYN does not try to convince people to get them.. people don't want to go through labor and that's why they elect to have them.. There are literally millions of ob so don't try to pretend that you know all of them and know what they all do.. I am 50 years old and if I could go back I would have had it c-section.. They do hymenectomies, it's where your hymen (if it's still in tact) is surgically removed as opposed via sex.

They do! They're the ones who perform c-sections as well as vaginal births, etc.
