Thank you so much for sharing this video. I’ve been stuck between deciding to go into Family and OB. Honestly the only thing that was shying me away from OB was the hours as I’ve known for them to be brutal based off of information I’ve gotten from quite a few people. It broke my heart because I REALLY love OB but also want a decent life with family outside of medicine. So thank you again for taking out time to share your experience :)
This is so interesting! Especially being on the other side as a patient! I love your vLog when you’re on call, keep them coming
Love this! I start med school this year and want to go into OBGYN. This is super helpful content!
You inspire me every day to want to become an OBGYN! Latina power!
Yay!! Siiii, keep working hard! ❤️
I always look forward to your videos, Dr. Ali Rodriguez! Thank you for always sharing your insightful recommendations in your videos with us all; it truly means the world.
Hi great video :) can you do a video on the different scopes of practices between obgyn physician/midwife/pa?
I am loving the vlog and taking a peek at what a day in your workday looks like! ✨ The only thing I’d say is that it would be a lot better if you had a microphone attached or maybe talk closer to the camera (Just a thought) bc the audio is a bit muted. Other than that, i am loving everything! 💕
Thank you for the feedback! I filmed it last minute and realized the sound wasn’t great afterwards 😩 I’m going to work on getting a microphone or something to make it better!
Aspiring OBGYN since 2nd grade 🙂
Could you please make a video describing the different levels of becoming a doctor? I always get so confused about the level of work/schedules when doctors discuss residency and intern years etc.
"Scottie" Yes those details are important to know.
what is a day like for an OBGYN attending. can you please do a video
This is awesome, thank you soo much!! I'm confused as to how you have a 40 hour work week though? 8-5 for 4 days a week would be 36 hours. Plus your 14 hour night on call and your operating day, wouldn't that typically come out to upwards of 50 hours?
Thank you. You make it look easy. Is the 40 hours a week including the 24 hour shift? So this means you do 3 days in the clinic including the one on call day. Im confused.
❤️❤️❤️
😍
❤❤❤❤❤
What are some ways you can get pregnant with PCOS??
how do you deal with chafe ?
You explained about weekend on calls, but how often a month do you have weekend calls?
Just depends month to month. It’s 8 call shifts per month (weekend call included)
@@alirodmd thank you for your response! I'm a first year medical student and very interested in OBGYN. Love your day in my life vlogs -- really helps us trying to decide what it will actually look like :)
@@alirodmd hi so I am confused, since you have one call during each week that would be 4, so if there are 4 remaining wouldn't that be every weekend? Thanks for clarifying! MS3 hoping to be an OBGYN and just trying to get a sense of the field
I am a male IMG considering getting into OBGYN in the US, Do you think I would be able to fit in?
