How crazy it to think that for you, doing back to back deliveries may be a normal day, but for your patients it one of the most life changing days of their lives! And you get to be a huge part of that! Forever thankful for you and all the OBGYN’s out there!!
I’ve been working like this for 10 years and just six months ago started to work in a private practice. I wished you would have been around during my long shifts at the hospital and all the craziness around labor and emergency operations! You showed a very realistic picture of our occupation and you seem genuinely sweet! I don’t miss the lack of sleep, but working in a team!
This Is the best on the job OB/GYN video I have ever seen it was so informative and calming it felt like I was on FaceTime with a friend talking calmly about their job as they gave me small tidbits
Thank you so so much for making your channel! I aspire to be an OBGYN and now, in my last year of high school, I really have to start planning and deciding what I want to do. It has always been my dream and passion to be a doctor (I can't imagine pursuing any different career) and for the past 5 years specifying as an OBGYN has been the only thing I ever think about. It's been so hard finding channels and videos where I can actually see what an OBGYN's day in the life would be like. Thanks again so much for doing this! You are both an amazing doctor and person!
Hi! There are ba-md programs where you’re guaranteed a spot in the schools medical doctor program if you begin your schooling there, means you can skip the MCAT and get education directly geared towards setting you up for their medical school
MORE OF THESE VIDEOS PLEASEEEE!! 😃😃 I had no idea what a day in your life would look like…I don’t even know what I was expecting, but it wasn’t this! lol thank you for sharing! 💗💗 so informative too!
I'm a PA student, not med student, but I have my first 24 hr on call shift tomorrow and I was so nervous and uneasy thinking about it but you have really changed my mood and made me excited! Thanks for showing the real difficulties of being busy and exhausted but your enthusiasm is inspiring 🙂
Oh my gosh I love this video! You’re so amazing and your message and information and structure of your day; you’re so planned out. Thank you so much this was such a great video, keep it up we want to see those guides as well! 😊
My son was 10.5 .. He was estimated to be 8 pounds & the original doctor let me labor for 29 hours to 9.5 cm .. shift changed and the new doctor took me straight to c section. He was in the birth canal for a long time and would have never been able to come out. No diabetes at all for us.
I love this video!! I’m an undergrad doing research on GDM and hope to be an OB one day too! Could you possibly talk about the different sub specialties? I’ve heard there’s other things you can specialize in like IVF??
I am 5 ft & my fetus was considered large measuring at 6 lbs in utero... I ended up with an emergency c section & my baby was actually born 8 lbs 15 oz 21 inches... so much bigger than they originally thought 😬
That's what happened to me when I was born I broke my clavicle coming out an could not breathe on my own and Dr's thought I wouldn't make it but I fought it an here I am today and now learning about being a OB even tho I'm a welder definitely want to get more into finishing college an med school and learn more about being in medical feild it's very interesting
Best videos I live them can u make like week in my life’s as a obgyn because I wanna go to Med school after undergraduate after I graduate high school and hopefully become one myself
In reality how many hours do you normally get to sleep in a 24 hour? Or does each shift vary? I couldn’t imagine feeling so exhausted and having to deliver babies! I just had my baby via emergency c section November 2nd. Your videos helped prepare me!💙
This was very interesting. Thanks for explaining everything. 🙂I must add I can't imagine a 24 hr shift. Do u have on-site back up doctors in case u have 3 ready to deliver at the same time?
keep those goals and hard working traits with you. People being uncomfortable is a childish thing. As you grow up others around you wont care. Many people find ob/gyn to be an admirable positon because they're literally the people who brought us safely into the world
So we just found out I'm pregnant again and I'm so scared. My first was Born Feb 2020 via emergency csection and I got pregnant 7 months later with twins because my ob office would only take pregnant patients. Well my twins were born scheduled csection in may 2021 and we just found out I'm pregnant again but I was on birth control and using protection. I know there was one night we tried a new kind and I think it broke honestly. But what is my labor going to entail and how dangerous is this because I'm beyond scared of dying giving birth with it being so close especially after twins.
Some shifts are definitely harder than others. Our residency training was actually much longer hours than this so I feel very well trained and used to it by now. But the entire medical system is flawed. I wish there was a different way!

Love seeing what the OBGYNs do! This explains why I can never get ahold of them to chat about meds 🤣
Hahaha there’s always something happening on L&D!

I got flashbacks when you were talking about performing the c section 🥰

Truly the life of an Obgyn 😃. I can relate...
when you work a 24 hour call shift, when is the next day that you work? also, can you make a separate video on college and medical/graduate school?
Best videos I live them can u make like week in my life’s as a obgyn because I wanna go to Med school after undergraduate after I graduate high school and hopefully become one myself
Thanks babe! I plan I making more you all are loving these videos!
OMG YESSS
I loveddd this video. I want to be an OB/GYN! How often are these 24 hour call shifts? :)
In reality how many hours do you normally get to sleep in a 24 hour? Or does each shift vary? I couldn’t imagine feeling so exhausted and having to deliver babies! I just had my baby via emergency c section November 2nd. Your videos helped prepare me!💙
Omg I wish you were my Ob doctor 😍 😭
You are so sweet! Thank you so much!

Thanks love ❤️

Thanku mam❤️
Quick question! I am a 7th grader and we are talking about jobs. I really wanna be an OBGYN but I don’t want people to make fun of me… What do I do?!
keep those goals and hard working traits with you. People being uncomfortable is a childish thing. As you grow up others around you wont care. Many people find ob/gyn to be an admirable positon because they're literally the people who brought us safely into the world
Learned a lot loved it!
love the video and yes people get vaccinated!
💙
I wonder if anyone knows what those cute little necklaces are called? She had also mentioned where she gets her necklaces
Do you ever do emergency csections? Ive had two due to preeclampsia so would love to hear what its like from dr perspective
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
What happens if you are just so busy during the shift and can’t get to charting? Do you have to stay until it’s done basically?
Depends on the type of charting but there’s a time limit. Typically you have 24hrs, but every facility has their own rules!
Now I can see why obygyn is so busy 🤯😓.
Thinking of becoming a ob/gyn,how long would it take, currently in pharmacy school 🙃
4 years of undergrad, 4 years of medical school and a 4 year OBGYN residency. So in total 12yrs! But they went by fast!
Why do you have two phones?
Is this sustainable to have doctors and nurses on call for so long? I worried that y’all will be too burnt out 😔
Some shifts are definitely harder than others. Our residency training was actually much longer hours than this so I feel very well trained and used to it by now. But the entire medical system is flawed. I wish there was a different way!
👍🏽
Can you please talk about irritation down there ……
Can you pls talk about spinal headaches
Yep...you used the Q WORD !!!! NEVER USE THE Q WORD!!
You say, we have way to many of these COVID positive patients please get vaccinated. But. You can still get COVID even while vaccinated.
