  • {{Ingredients}}
    (orange) - 600g
    (sugar) - 250g
    (corn syrup) - 250g
    (water) - 150ml
    (baking soda)
    (salt)
    {{요리법 recipes}}
    1. Scrub the orange surface with coarse salt
    2. Rinse oranges in water. Then rub with baking soda and leave for 10 minutes
    3. Wash baking soda thoroughly
    4. Roll the orange in hot water for 30 seconds
    5. Cut into 1cm thick slices
    6. Layer with oranges and sugar. and wait until sugar melts
    7. Add water and starch syrup and boil over high heat for 10 minutes and simmer over low heat for 30 minutes.
    8. When the orange cools down, repeat boiling and cooling again.
    9. Sieve the water out
    10. Place orange in dehydrator and dry at 70 degrees for 6 hours
    11. Put sugar on it
    * You have to wipe the baking soda thoroughly to make it taste less bitter
    * If you boil an orange, it gets smaller, so you have to cut it bigger than you think
    * The more you repeat the boiling and cooling process, the more chewy it becomes

      Then torture them by drowning them in hot water with sugar, then dry them in a 70 degrees environment for 6 hours. After drying coat them with small shards of sugar and enjoy eating them with a glass of water mixed with the blood from their relatives.

    if you don't have a dehydrator, you can just put them in the oven on the lowest setting for about 2-3 hours or longer, however dry as you want them to be! I do the same with lemon peel except i don't do the whole salt/soda treatment lmao, I usually just soak them in water first for about 30 min. So the salt/soda thing is good if your concerned about how the oranges were grown. Remember yall just cause produce is labeled "organic" doesn't mean its better, sometimes its been grown with MORE pesticides than regular produce!

    • @lowkeylowkey1000
      @lowkeylowkey1000 3 роки тому +28

      Well...no. What you just described at the end is literally the opposite of organic lol

      yup- organic means it’s better cause it doesn’t have any chemicals things-

    • @lowkeylowkey1000
      @lowkeylowkey1000 3 роки тому +37

      @@Quang99097 Sort of but still not really. It is true it is not supposed to have chemicals. But the best example I can give is the context behind organic. Heirloom produce= untouched by corporate genetic tampering. Why is this important? It is important because the executives bribed the patent office in USA to f*ck over the planet by making a single gene change, that is now a private "product" only that company can use and license. So yes, possibly healthy. But if you don't want to be beholden to a megalomaniac that will f*ck you over for literally your entire life(cause you need food). Then buy organic and pay more for Non-GMO too. Seems less insane when you actually know it isn't a conspiracy theory. Look up companies like Monsanto and how they r@pe farmers into defacto financial slavery or homeless life.

    My own lazy way : Eat the orange normally, cut the skin to bite size, boil it low heat with sugar water for 30 min to 1 hour. Basically candied fruit peels.
    The leftover water (if any) will have bittersweet taste and smells good, I usually just drink it or just put it in my room as a kind of aromatics.

      건조기 없어도 됩니다. 먼저 설탕, 물로 시럽 만들어놓고 어느정도 점도를 가진 상태가 되었을때 오렌지 투하하고 좀 더 졸인 다음 (오렌지가 금방 익어버려 물렁물렁해지기 때문에 시럽을 어느정도 만들어놓아야 형태가 안 흩어짐) 꺼내서 식혀놓으면 사탕처럼 단단하게 되는데 - 그래도 씹어먹을 수 있을 정도는 되고 쫀득쫀득함 - 이렇게 쓰면 됩니다. Candied orange라고 영국에서도 비슷한 레시피가 있습니다.

    Hello~ I found out about this video recently and I'm really hooked with your recipes. I would just like to ask whether if we can store them and if so, how long will it last? Should I store them with or without the sugar coating? Thank you very much and I love your channel! 💕

    • @doomandoo3906
      @doomandoo3906  4 роки тому +1

      Um ... I don't know how long it can be stored.🤔 But if you seal the jelly and keep it in the fridge, you can keep it for a long time. And without sugar, it may not taste good

      Yes you can store it even more than a month..if you want a healthy version just buy a dehydrator machine slice the orange and put it in dehydrator and wait until it is totally dried..i made dried fruit before and it was good.. taste like healthy candy...

    오렌지 정과는 처음 보는데 정말 맛있을 것 같습니다. 건조기로 건조하는 시간이 오래 걸리기는 하지만, 완성된 오렌지 정과가 오랜 시간과 정성이 들어가서 정말 예쁘고 맛있어 보이네요.
