  • Thumbs up from the silver VW Polo driver - he didn't approve of Karen's driving either. As for Angry Karen - that sort of anger is, IMO, just you trying to deflect away from your traffic offence. Only someone very stupid, I think, would expect that to stop me from reporting the traffic offence. You were angry because you were caught doing wrong, and I think you knew it. I think you wouldn't have been angry at all if you really believed that stationary phone use was allowed.

The mouthy one in the MG will carry on using her phone even after she's convicted because she's too arrogant and stupid to realise what she did was wrong.
Soon she'll be telling everyone on the bus how she's been victimised.

It would be great to learn the outcome of this one... (well, the noisy one of the two). The book really needs to be thrown at her, for the appalling attitude and blatant disregard for the law, when continuing to use her phone for her souvenir images! Hopefully a ban, to keep the menace off the roads! Excellent work, yet again!!

Its becoming more "normal" seeing folks on phones a lot more now and the general feeling of I don't care seems to go around. This bugs me. Well done you for standing up to this. When I say to some people the amount of folk driving on phones, they seem to back them up. If your in your vehicle, stopped or not if the key is active or in ignition its still illegal. Thanks Mikey

I admire your conviction in sticking with your videos . There is a nationwide pandemic of people using there phones all over the Uk whilst driving and runs much deeper than we think ( more like an akin to addiction where they just cant help it !
And yes ive done it in the past and it takes a mindful conscious effort to control this behavior .
It really is serious stuff and is with road rage a (lack of patience. everyone is in a rush and no time ) we can all sense it when we venture out in our everyday lives and this is the rabbit hole where we are finding society is heading today !!! Very Sad

Somehow I think the Fiat driver will continue using their phone. I would love to have been a fly on the wall when MG Karen opened her letter regarding this. You absolutely did the right thing pulling over as her anger was getting worse and there was a real danger she might have blamed you for her bumper touching your back wheel further up the street. Both need a ban and it’s high time a short ban for phone drivers was introduced, the six points doesn’t seem to be enough of a preventative measure.

Ignorant/arrogant people use the technique of just talking, talking, talking without a pause to allow anyone to counter their bilge. You see it often on those follow-the-police documentaries where the low life who've been stopped just prattle on and on. And, of course, there's Donald Trump who does this also, just railroad over any attempt at discourse.

Angry Karen was also in violation of Rule 160. At one point she had no hands on the wheel while gesticulating angrily with both hands. At another point she was driving with one hand and using the other hand to deliver the middle finger.

If you use the phone behind the wheel even in traffic it is an offence. It’s usually a £200 fine and 6 points on your license. All that woman’s shouting won’t change a thing. The message is, never use your phone once you are behind the wheel, SIMPLE!!!!!
