I can think of one "carry over part" the entire freaking interior. I'm not spending my $ on a Ram, but just look at that truck!!! It's so much nicer looking inside and out!
Okay, so Ford had a chance to review the Silverado, RAM and the Sierra; as we can expect, they will try to come out with an all new over-the-top 2020 F-150 in both design and technology in their efforts to sustain their lead. My suspicion would be breakthrough technology underneath the hood, maybe even an Autonomous Package Option!

I see GM is finally coming out of the stone age: Slow to incorporate Smart Key for trucks and dedicated AC vents for rear passengers. Now it’s time to move that gear lever from the steering column to the center console or some rotary knob.

every car company does that. the buttons don't mean anything. u expect them to design hundreds of different buttons for every car model that GM makes? maybe its just me but I couldn't care less about the buttons on the steering wheel

John Potter... with technology constantly improving, more vehicles are becoming more reliable than ever. And as you mentioned, the 200... was a vehicle in a very crowded and competitive market. FCA needs to really created vehicle that can compete in the already crowded market. I believe that what Ram is doing with its 1500 is a step in that direction.
Sherman Brown... Ram is hands down the better truck in every way. Just because Chevy sells more trucks, doesn't mean they are better. You asked about technology.... Ram's U-connect is hands down is the best... if not one of the best on the market. The introduction of the e-torque (mild hybrid system) to give better fuel economy and torque. I could go on and on, why Ram is a better truck than Chevy. Besides Chevy likes to copy or imitate Ford anyway.
Roy Irving hmmm I've heard alot of Dodge people say that the my Link in the Chevy is just as good or better ... plus with Chevy you get more power with the same fuel economy ...we don't know the new numbers on the 6.2 yet but vs the last gen it has 30 more hp and 50 more lb feet of torque then the hemi but both were at 22 mpg ... and Chevy just said all the engines have been heavily revised ...plus you're kind of limited with power train options with RAM I mean they haven't come out with anything new besides the eco diesel since 2003 ... and maybe doing research on something would help because I don't think Chevy coppies much from Ford...in fact they put out a patent and purchased aluminum materials before Ford did actually. Now don't get me wrong I like ram ...the rebel is an awesome looking truck
