I have never been much of a RAM truck fan but this truck is something special. The exterior looks sharp and that interior looks beautiful. I love the center dash and all that storage space. I was going to purchase a ford raptor but, now I am going to wait until this truck arrives at the dealership. Good job
I own a 2016 Laramie Longhorn Ram. I gotta say the most reliable truck it's the Toyota tundra. I got 265k on the dash it still runs strong. But this Ram ous something special. Im buying it when it arrives at the dealers
The 2016 RAM Laramie only has 1-110VAC outlet @ 150 watts. They finally have two. I don't know how many watts they have, but I hope it is at least 500 watts. Just get an inverter with pure-sine wave output, not modified sine wave. Also I wonder if it has cameras all around so it would give you a 'birds'eye view' as if you are looking down on the truck from about 15' overhead? Another thing is auto-stop feature when someone puts their breaks on in front of you the truck will stop, keeping you from hitting the vehicle in front. Another thing is lane avoidance so if you veer from one side of the lane to another it would let you know. These are a few things needed as standard items these days.
Looks like the 12" screen in this 2019 RAM 1500 didn't lock up during use...so I'm guessing it did save settings. I say this because there was 2 UA-cam videos I came across by new owners...where their 12" screen locked up/failed to save settings. Maybe they got the first few run of trucks w/ the 12 " screens that had bugs the QA guys overlooked. Do they not test the screens before the trucks are delivered?? HEH... Or do they just not test the screens?
That screen is badasss! I also really like how they totally did away with the big middle shifter & created a button for it next to the start stop button just adds way more real estate in the center console area. Dodge def has way better interior features over the new chevy....
F-150 KING OF TRUCKS never. I gave Ford a try, they have too many quality control issues in the product. I bought a brand new 2016 Platinum. The crap leaks water in the driver's grab handle. Shouldn't be leaking water anywhere when it rains. Dealers can't figure it out. I'm just done with Ford.
fieldsfury then you should be done with Ram also. My Ram leaked water and my co workers Ram is leaking water. This is common knowledge in the Ram community that the rear Windows leake. I mean every heavy or extended amount of time it rained my Ram leaked. All you have to do is check the forums.
Question - My biggest complaint has always been the passenger seat legroom. Looking at 1:02 I see that even this generation of ram still has an indent into the legroom space (probably needed for transmission). I am 6 ft, and on 2nd-4th gen rams if I sit in the passenger seat my left leg has to fold someway and this is uncomfortable. Has this been fixed? Otherwise a great interior for nothing imo.
Need a shifter not a hockey puck shifter, remaining design looks great. Will wait for 2 years to allow RAM to fix issues. Love the Tesla type info screen.
Love my 2017 Raptor, but.... this interior is crazy nice..... Looks like I’ll be buying a Ram very soon also... just going to hold out till this new design carry’s over for the diesels... Can’t wait!!

tremendous truck the only thing i miss is i can not find the paddles for manuel gear changing at the stearting wheel, very important when you are towing in winter and you do not wan`t that suddenly the automatic gear box changes up or down.
Philip Kapsis all these new trucks have come far in quality , and reliable. the downside is not the engines , but all the electronics that are costly if they fail.

Ryan really screwed up on one major item. The center console is to big and so uncomfortable. I can’t spend more than a few minutes in my 2019 Longhorn without my right knee hurting and my leg fatiguing from having no room to move. I love everything about this truck but it’s so uncomfortable I can’t drive very far. Wish I could have gotten the bench seat. I’m super bummed cuz I really hate driving it.
Soooo, Ryan Nagode, if listening to your customers is so important with regards to interior options and design, why is there no option for a full console transmission shifter instead of a rotary dial? And before you say it takes up too much space, I say if two large console bins, two glove boxes and assorted holes and storage spaces aren't enough for all your stuff, you've carrying too much crap around.

Ford has been offering, panoramic roofs, a console shifter, adaptive cruise control, ability to park itself, lane keep, trailer assist, washing cameras, massaging seats, remote tailgate, color changing ambient lighting, mirror spot lights and night vision for years now. I think it is safe to say Ford did at least change the game.

the only thing that bums me out about the new ram crew cab's interior is the aft-cabin's flat floor. grocery bag hooks will not keep things in place, especially if you are carrying items in paper grocery bags.

Dont get me wrong id rent it for the weekend but everyday driving it wouldnt last in my world ,, i cant wait till somebody throws 6" lift and 37 in tires on this truck

halim dawdi I have been waiting for years with my 08 tundra for Toyota to change. I'm going all in with the ram and the unlimited mileage warranty they offer. 55k buys a loaded ram 1500 and the warranty. I couldn't touch a new 1794 tundra for 55k. Plus the mpg difference is huge. Ram is killing it with options, looks, and features on the new truck.
I hate all these new gadgets and technology but the interior design and storage does look super good...I just HATE HATE HATE all black...whatever happened to a gray interior?
The Tundra is so outdated that I'm sure whatever they have planned for their redesign is already outdated as well. Toyota needs an entirely new power train and technology that is not available on any of their vehicles. Yet, I doubt Toyota will allocate enough money for the r&d of a competitive new truck giving their low sale volume. I wouldn't be surprised if they entirely give up on the Tundra. They just won't be able to catch up.

Most reliable truck in the industry, they took that claim from Chevy in 2014 and they will not look back. What a great truck, love it.

Dodge did an amazing job on the new ram. Almost thinking to going to that truck from my 300.

Manual gear changing can be done on the right side of the steering wheel.

Nice design, but WAY TOO MUCH going on in the center stack. Talk about distracted driving.
Don;t forget, all the controls are duplicated on the console as well as on the steering wheel, so the screen does not have to be used all the time.
