Honest to god the best rendition this song has ever had. An intense, sharp, painful melody driven by anger. Perfect for the one in the journal that had to bear an existence of pain and torment everlasting, while never knowing why he had to cease to exist just so someone else could. The world chose his other half. And now, here that same kid was, telling him to his face and with a smile, that he can accept the pain of an empty existence with no memory. He was the one who truly knew what that pain felt like. It's honestly incredible just how well they were able to portray Roxas with such a small role and make it that much more significant.
I got my ass thoroughly kicked because I was not prepared for this boss, and because the boss forces an auto save RIGHT BEFORE IT (Probably to ensure that the player can defeat Roxas.) I litteraly had to reset to fighting Sora’s Heartless, Then go through all of the bs before Roxas, Just to get Judgemental Triad so I could decimate his healthbar. Was it worth it? Fuck Yes.
???: You've used up all the cards, I'd take it? I would ask if you enjoyed your little trip... But we both know that you've forgotten it, that you're feeling pretty empty. Sora: No, I'm not. I may not remember who I met, but I _do_ remember that I met them. And knowing that I'd forgotten them... I miss them. ???: So you hurt. I warned you. Don't you remember what I said? That hurt will drag you down into the darkness. You have to get rid of all of it. Sora: No, I don't. I can keep the hurt... because it reminds me of something important. It lets me know that what I've forgotten is crucial. That's enough. I won't run from it. It'll stay inside of my heart, until the day I remember. ???: The darkness will take you first. Sora: If I cast the hurt aside, I'll lose the ties of all the people that I care about. My mind's made up. I may end up falling into the darkness, but I'll always keep this with me. I'll only get rid of it when I remember anything, and not a day sooner than that. I'll keep the hurt with me for the time being. It's all that I have. It's what holds the pieces in place. I accept that. _Sora walks past the hooded figure, who is now in disbelief that Sora would keep the hurt inside him to remember everything than cast it aside to become stronger, just like he did._ ???: You say you accept it? It's not a game! _The floor beneath the hooded boy and Sora turns into a battle chamber Sora had similarily seen when he had fought Marluxia. Surprised, he glances behind him only to be threatened by two Keyblades._ ???: It's _way_ past time that you learned what _real_ hurt feels like! _Sora evades both strikes by the hooded boy and summons his own Keyblade, ready to fight him and claim ownership of the hurt that he held within._
The Roxas fight is up there with Sora's Heartless in difficulty. Why Are They So Difficult. On another note, this is quite possibly the most unique theme in Kingdom Hearts. This sounds like a cover by a fan, not an official battle theme!
Sora's heartless was harder. You can beat roxas through a pure projectile based deck. Sora's heartless just jumps you and you have to fight through 2 phases of his clones.
@@AlexxxMYLSince2013 It's missing theater mode and the Avatar Sector. Unfortunately I don't think they'd even allow you to use that, maybe be able to customize Sora? You wouldn't be able to get the Avatar Sector is the point.
Yeah same, it's driving me nuts. I used to have it bookmarked but it's a dead link now. A newer comment says this is the piano collections version so I'm gonna go look for that
Hey wait a second... When I said I wanted the Re:Coded version of this song, I meant I wanted the version from the good version or Re:Coded, not... this.

it's way past time that you.... learned WHAT REAL HURT FEELS LIKE!!
Such a elite quote
You could tell roxas was REALLY hurt. His anger and sadness was a total opposite of sora
@@Kidkinseyits funny how a pretty boy like Jesse can deliver such a badass line for Roxas
This is the best version of this song. All piano no flute
You can almost feel some kinda anger in this, kinda scary 👀
Oh I didn't even notice it was you dad
Persona is pee pee poo poo
Yeah because Roxas wants to beat you to death
"my first and last ....summer vacation."
1:25 real pain
The most beautiful version of The Other Promise is from Re:Coded. That alone makes the game worth it
Im quite fond of the Kh3 version myself
@@AlexxxMYLSince2013 That version kicks so much ass it's unreal
Isn’t this version just the piano collection’s version?

That image and title surprised me; I thought I missed a news that re:coded is playable in the 2.5 HD remix. I kinda wish it was, though.

Because there the other side of Sora
Because it’s the final boss dumdum
It's the piano collections recording.

you say you accept it it's not a game it's way past time you learned what real hurt feels like
This feels on the same level as Mozart and Beethoven
So this is what it will look like the playable version you know the title screen
Wasnt the title screen like this in the ds version?
@@AlexxxMYLSince2013 this is my alt. I mean it looked different on DS. But this looks like a regular title screen as the other KH games

Pretty sure those 2 options are not shown when you FIRST Launch the game
I am like 99% sure this is based on the piano collections version

Great song, thanks man, keep up the good work! :)
They did not have to go this hard for a cutscene collection💀
ACEPT? IS NOT A GAME
Now I wish there was a playable version of Re:Coded more in 1.5+2.5...
Has the same feeling that Dark Souls final boss theme. Just piano
:'(
Is there an extended version of this? I was wondering where the video was cos I can’t seem to find the 30+ min video of the extended version

@@rat1223 I see let me know if you managed to find the extended version. Sorry for the late reply. UA-cam pings are non-existent

Is this different to the Piano Collections piece?
