Halide seems a little overpriced. I have spent $20 on apps before which are no longer available, so that money is gone.

Can you please do an in depth review of the pro camera. Manual + HDR app and/or a compare video of this app and the pro camera by moment app ! It would be greatly appreciated !! Seems like pro camera (not moment) released a major update last month!

Is there a camera app where you can apply desqueeze to anamorphic pics directly in the app without having to do that in post on a PC?

What's going on with the lack of 16x9? apparently the iPhone shoots everything in 4:3 and relies on EIXF data to display in 16:9. Thank you for explaining that Camera switching phenomenon at the beginning because it’s been driving me insane trying to use the iPhone native app for Astro photography.

Hi Kamel, in the native camera app there’s no way to shoot like this. But this is a feature in the Filmic Pro app.
In Filmic Pro go to Settings > Device then enable the toggle for Stitch Recorded Footage
With this enabled you’ll be able to pause a recording, change your camera angle, then resume recording again all in one clip ✌🏻

Specter is fascinating for the handheld stabilization and for the “disappearing” effect but it’s light trails are not good. They look like dots and not smooth clean lines like some other apps can do. Seems one needs a few photo apps with various strengths.
WHICH APP I HAVE TO BUY am a cinematographer
my only issue with halide is that now it limits manual mode to 12 megapixel idk if apple made them do this but it really just kills the app

Moment Pro camera can do photos & videos, Filmic Pro videos only, and Halide and Spectre are Photos only. Thanks for watching! ✌🏻

Cheers! No it doesn’t unfortunately - that’s something they could add! It does have grid overlays though for Square, Thirds and Golden Ratio. Thanks for watching! ✌🏻

is there any way to take prores video in Iphone 13 using any 3rd party app as the option is not available in the native camera app?
Hello. I have a question about photography. We all know that regular iPhone models are not allowed to shoot RAW photos and only Pro and Pro Max models have Appel’s ProRaw function. Now my question is, this year regular iPhone 15 models got a 48mp sensor does it mean that we can not spend a lot of money to buy pro models just because of the ProRaw function, and instead buy a regular model and buy a third-party pro camera app and shoot Raw photos?

I am ready to spend poney to buy a good app but before to buy i am trying to find real normal very understandable review on youtube or article but unfortunately not everyone make reviews about professional photo apps
Halide support RAW shoot photo? PNG?
With Halide you can shoot photos in:
- HEIC
- RAW
- RAW + HEIC
- ProRAW
- ProRAW + HEIC
No PNG option as far as I’m aware ✌🏻
what is the slowest shutter speed on moment app?
The slowest is 1 second (S 1/1) in both photo and video mode ✌🏻
You mentioned that Log is not true color profile in "Pro camera by Moment" and what about the "Filmic Pro"?
I believe it’s the same for Filmic Pro and pretty much every camera app (at least that I’ve used) - they’re not ‘true’ log profiles although the developers sometimes claim they are. Check out this video by Stewart and Alina: ua-cam.com/video/FTgJJFtAJh0/v-deo.html

Yes! As far as I’m aware all these apps are compatible with iPhone 11! But they might be missing some features due to the different hardware ✌🏻
Halide NOT supporting RAW 48MP on Manual Mode (only 12MP). They say it's an iOS limitation, but in fact ProCamera (Cocologics) does support that !
How aperture work?
I dont see aperture control
There’s no aperture control for iPhone’s as they have fixed apertures. Only controls for frame rate and shutter speed in 3rd party apps ✌🏻

Damn, Halide is $90 one time fee or $15/month.
I want this but I can’t take another subscription service lol.
I bought it to work raw and haven’t used it once yet.
Halide and Timestamp. I like Timestamp because it embeds an unalterable date/time/location stamp onto an image. Sometimes you just need to capture that information.
