    I am confused, so basically as i understand correctly after downloading app you can choose which one you want, subscribe for annual or buy the app ? Is that correct?

    What is causing the strange "greenscreen effect" with the edges of your hair? It is very obvious when you watch these regions. I might expect it to be some sort of ProRAW masks trying to separate foreground from background. Whatever it is, it is a processing failure (on whatever tool/process is causing this). If something makes you look greenscreened when you are not, then it seems like a feature to avoid for any potential quality work.

      Erik - I agree whole heartedly. I believe what's going on is what you described, but I think how it's happening is via the Portrait Mode technology. I've never been a fan of the software induced bokeh as - like you point out - there's a clear greenscreen look that results.

    Hi. Im a barber and i use my phone for my work.
    The photos im taking with my 15pm are very bad compared to the videos.
    Doesnt matter if i shoot pro raw, 2x 5x,
    The problem is i dont have definition on strands of hair as i have with a video, photos are getting over processed, and blurred out.
    Someone said take photos in burst mode might help. Is the app really worth it? Better than lightroom or should i stick to taking just videos/reels

      Use Live photo option to avoid overprocessed and auto enchancement. Im using ip 13 same issue!

      @ i’ve seen the ‘problem’ it looks better in videos because it uses hdr but for photos you cant select the hdr, has been removed from photos, gotta use the ringlight for better light + rawphotos or heifMAX for using all 48mp

    Try to compare the quality of the 12MP photo taken using this app with older iPhone models to 24MP settings of the iPhone 15 Pro, file size is about the same but the details are very noticeable, not oversharpened.
    Almost as good as my Z8 after manually edited with Lightroom when shooting RAW, althought there's still long way to go.
    Overall very impressive.

    Does it have a night mode or simulated sort of night mode settings to make darker settings look cleaner and a bit less grainy or anything

      Good question - not to my knowledge. I don’t do a whole lot of low light shooting, but when I do I use the NightCap App. Great app especially if you’re looking to do long exposures. Hope this helps!!

    Great review I’m subscribed. I don’t understand why no iPhone photographer uses/mentions/reviews camera+2 doesn’t it have all the features as like as moment, procam, halide or reeflex apps? So if you review or compare camera+2 against rest of the back would be extremely helpful, thanks!

    I really liked this video except for the sound effect you used for clicking an option on the app - I found it really distracting plus increasingly annoying as the video went on (because it was used so many times). This might just be me, but thought I’d let you know in case it also puts other viewers off.

    Thank you for this. Should I use higher efficiency or most compatible with Halide 12mp camera & 48mp camera and what’s best to use with the raw camera please? Should I use HEIC or JPeg? I’m wondering what’s best for best pics when posting to Facebook for clarity of pics? I have 15 Pro Max. Thank you. 👌🏻❤️

    • @photoswithphones
      @photoswithphones  6 місяців тому +1

      Lynn - you're best off shooting with the 48Mp camera in ProRAW file format for the purposes of image quality. That being said, Live Photo in the native camera app may be a lower quality, but uses AI to snatch photos from videos which allows for much more control and choice in your photography.
      Hope this helps and sorry for the delayed response.

    I use this app to force iPhone into use 3x camera when the default camera app doesn't want to, for whatever reason. But I don't understand how to save a compressed file in the app and delete the raw (to save space)

    • @photoswithphones

      Perfect use for the app! As far as your files, I would turn off RAW capture in the Halide settings and go for something more high-efficiency.

    • @photoswithphones
      @photoswithphones  2 роки тому

      Jaden - you're actually not the first person to ask this exact question. What the dental surgeon and I who worked to solve this problem settled on was the Apexel 100mm Macro lens because the 1.5" working distance.
      Additionally I would recommend buying the BeastCam Pro Camera App for easily adjusting exposure and focus manually. You may also find that you need additional lighting. The next video coming on the channel will help with that too!
      I hope this helps and don't hesitate to respond to this comment as I want to help get you the right set up.

    I’ve been trying the Reeflex Pro App, it’s not bad, and I’ve got the Halide App tonight so will try it on the trial period. I’ve tried most of them now and so far the Reeflex has been the best one and it takes better pics indoors than my 14 Pro Max does, which is surprising! I’m a bit disappointed with my 14 Pro Max camera hence why I’m trying other camera apps out, the raw pics on the native camera are good, can’t dispute that. Could you advise me which would be my best setting for outdoor pics on Halide, Raw or ProRaw 48mp? I realise the raw pics need editing but do the ProRaw need editing please? Thanks from Devon UK 🇬🇧 ❤

    • @photoswithphones
      @photoswithphones  2 роки тому +1

      Great questions Lynn. I recommend the ProRaw 48MP as that will be the highest quality shots, though they will need editing. If you don't love photo editing, a non-RAW 48MP shot will do the trick. You can hone in your settings manually, but Halide does a pretty decent job with auto focus/exposure too.

    Is halide worth over Samsung Camera? The only thing which is stopping me to switch to IOS ( 13 pro max) is the lack of pro mode which android has while IOS doesn't.

    • @photoswithphones
      @photoswithphones  3 роки тому

      Tough question. I haven't shot extensively on the Galaxy S Series phones but I do have a Galaxy A32 with 5G in addition to two iPhones and multiple Pixels. In my opinion, the Samsung Camera App is the most difficult to use. I also don't think the results are necessarily better.
      I love the iPhone because of how user friendly it is. Not only is the native camera app easy to use but the sheer number of apps for mobile photography and/or mobile filmmaking (Halide, Moment Pro, NightCap, and BeastCam are some of my favorites) makes me an iPhone guy. The only downside to iPhones for photography and filmmaking is the lack of megapixels and astrophotography/low light capability. In both of these areas, the Galaxy S-Series is significantly better. I do think that Apple is planning improvements for both in the iPhone 14 but this is based on leaked information and not Apple press releases.
      What do you normally shoot? Just so you know, I do have a video coming out within the next week about the native camera app on the iPhone 13 Pro Max that you should probably watch. It may help you make your decision.

    Okay but can you zoom on halide ?

    • @photoswithphones
      @photoswithphones  2 роки тому +1

      You can, but you really shouldn't be zooming on your smartphone! The zoom feature is digital and not optical meaning that it's literally the same as cropping the image in post. You're going to get better results by snapping the photo as is and then cropping when editing. I hope this helps!

    I watched about one minute or so of this tutorial and couldn’t go on. Your gross mispronunciation of "Halide" threw me out of the video as soon as I heard it. As others have already pointed out, it's HAL-ahyd (as in "allied"), not "huh-LEED." I'm a writer and instructional designer, and pronunciation matters to me, especially when the word is so simple.

    • @photoswithphones
      @photoswithphones  4 місяці тому

      Absolutely fair. I did watch a video about the app before creating my video and just went with their pronunciation. Since making this video, I now watch the manufacturers promos first to ensure my pronunciation is correct.

    • @photoswithphones
      @photoswithphones  2 роки тому

      Aline - Halide should work with the iPhone X but do note that not all of the app's features will be available as certain features depend on the improved technology that comes with newer iPhones. I hope this helps!

  • @bosekaspathy
    @bosekaspathy Рік тому

    Haleed or Halide. We need not pronounce everything in English.
    Okay, I bought this app and it was freezing when I moved to 2X. No solution yet.
    Finally, my iPhone is a camera that is always available. If you know photography, u get a photo, otherwise a snapshot.
    My opinion is that if you want to start in photography, buy a real camera for 300 USD and learn.
