I LOVE seeing the younger generation react so wonderfully to my era of music!!!!!! Billy was definitely one cool mutha f'er in the day. Had the ladies swooning for sure!!! Great era. great memories!
The guitarist is Steve Stevens his band mate, whom would later play with Micheal Jackson ( see Dirty Diane) and later play the Top Gun Movie Theme song.
Saw Billy Idol at Download in 2010 and it poured down when he was on but he was brilliant and won thousands of fan in the crowd including me! Cheers Billy you are great!
Written by Billy Idol and Stevie Stevens. Produced by Keith Forsey. He did drum and sound effects programming. In the same year, 1983, he wrote a song with 2 other musicians for the soundtrack to the movie 🎥 Flashdance 💃. Perri lister sang Les yeux sans visage (eyes 👀 without a face in French 🇫🇷). Suggested videos 📹: 1 Billy Idol sings Cradle of Love. 2 Irene Cara sings Flashdance What a Feeling.
Hello 👋 Miss Millie 😊 Billy had many song that filtred threw our Dance Clubs through the 80's 😂😂😂 Here is A short list for you 1) Flesh for Fantasy 2) Mony, Mony 3) White Wedding 4) Cradle of Love 5) Dancing with Myself As always the like button 🔳 has been Illuminated 😊
I saw Billy Idol in concert here in Italy a few years ago, it's always a show. Steve Stevens the guitarist is still with him, he has his own recognizable style. Think that in 1986, when Andy Taylor left Duran Duran, they asked Stevens to become their guitarist. But being a friend of Taylor he refused and the place was taken by Warren Cuccurullo..
Every 80s rocker/band had to do a ballad. "More Than Words" - Extreme, "Sister Christian" - Night Ranger, "I'll Be There For You" - Bon Jovi, "Is This Love" - Whitesnake.
Love his sort of hidden undertones in his songs even though they are not really hidden...boy that makes a lot of sense tom.....also love your fan girling ,
That's my fellow Canadian, Steve Webster laying down that bassline. You can hear him thump on the hugely popular "Black Velvet" by Alanna Myles as well. There are 3 Webster brothers actually; all played in her band at one point. Sort of known as Toronto area hired guns for awhile.
1983 - 19 and riding around in the back of Marina's Mustang on a Saturday night in Northern California, kissing Suzi while Marina drove us in wide looping circles around town...but really only wanting to kiss Marina. ...this playing on the radio....
As someone who grew up in the 80’s, I’m glad that you didn’t dress up in all neon colors, because so many people think that’s the only thing we ever wore back then.
Try the live video version of Billy's "Mony Mony" cover, much better than the studio version. Such energy! The female vocals here are singing "eyes without a face" in French.
Great pick, this is my favorite Billy Idol song. The meaning is twofold The first is an homage to a 1960s French horror movie about a doctor who had a beautiful daughter who was disfigured in a car accident so he goes around killing other young women and taking various parts of their face and body with the idea of reconstructing her beauty. The other is about a woman cheating on him, when you see the "woman" at the end of the video she gets "hit" with some karma juice, maybe you can get the symbolism. 😁
I'm not sure, but could it be that Steve Stevens also recorded the bass lines, because he is definitely a guitarist, but I believe that he is also a multi-instrumentalist and also the main producer of Billy Idol's music, but I could be wrong, but at the same time I can imagine that it is like that
This feels like so many mid-'80s teen movies. Without looking it up, I'm sure this must have been in at least one John Hughes films. Not that it's terrible, it isn't the usual processed cheese from that period. But for me that time was a bit of a desert for good music that wasn't commercial cheese, after Ska and New Wave had come to an end, and heavy metal and punk were still not allowed on Radio One playlists outside of John Peel.
This song i'm pretty sure is about dmt because people have said (many things lol) but one was eyes without a face I think. Like multiple eyes and no face. Can't really describe it but a lot of artists probably been tripping. In fact apart of me thinks it's biblical like when they ate of the tree of good and evil but the 80s was a catchy generation.
Para mí , estabas vestida para la canción Hot in the city , temazo de los 80 , y otros hits , Flesh for fantasy , To be a lover , Catch My fall , Blue highway , y más actual , Bitter taste
Steve Stevens is still supporting Billy with his guitar.
He is a amazing guitarist. Seen them last year in concert. Blew me away.
Bill is supporting his guitar with his voice
Not only one of the best 80s songs ever but one of the best videos ever
Over 40 years later and he is still out singing. Wouldn't mind seeing him live.
I LOVE seeing the younger generation react so wonderfully to my era of music!!!!!! Billy was definitely one cool mutha f'er in the day. Had the ladies swooning for sure!!! Great era. great memories!
This song is so beautifully produced.. its really that slick 80s, with loads of reverb. And most of all: A good song with a good countermelody.
Here ya go Millie. He's still got it and so Does his guitarist Steve Stevens.
Just when you get all mellowed out Billy wakes people up a bit and then back to mellow. Very cool. I miss the 80's.
The guitarist is Steve Stevens his band mate, whom would later play with Micheal Jackson ( see Dirty Diane) and later play the Top Gun Movie Theme song.
He’s still rocking this days and packing arenas! With the same guitarist!👌😎👍❤️
Partied our butt's off to Billy great 80s singer
There will never be another Billy Idol.
I was 10 years old when this song and video dropped, and I LOVED it. Still do

Great reaction, Millie! You put shut a big smile on my face and a couple of chuckles to the "special drums"! =;-D
Billy Idol - Flesh for Fantasy, his best song! :D
if I recall correctly, "Cradle of Love" was also very good. I think 1990 is when it came out. Most of his well known.work was in the mid 80s
He's had alot of small parts in big movies, and he had a big part playing HIMSELF in THE WEDDING SINGER
❤
It's funny to see both you and #Bisscute crushing on Billy Idol, the 80s were a magic time for us oldies lol
Very nice..epic Billy
You make that leather look good! This is one of my favorites!
If you haven't seen the movie the Wedding Singer, Billy Idol plays himself in it.
Awesome Billy song!! Can't hear enough of it.
Try The Flame by Cheap Trick or Cuts You Up by Peter Murphy. The bass in Cuts will move you.

Was ready for some good Billy Idol, then the outfit hits your eyeballs. 0_0.... Moving on.
80s videos were so fun to watch. They told a story. Sometimes it was about the song's subject and sometimes they were silly.
This is his best song.
And Flesh for Fantasy! :D
Try listening to:
- cradle of love
- pumping on steel
- flesh for fantasy
really shock everyone and throw in "Sweet Sixteen"
I don’t know what you are wearing Millie but thank you😍

Millie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Steve Stevens is a Guitar God!
Billy always had great musicians and production on his albums
My favorite line “I’m on a bus on a psychedelic trip reading murder books and trying to stay hip”.billy got his start in PUNK.
Mine is "steal a car, and go to Las Vegas!" So existential.
I was never a big Billy Idol fan, but I always loved this song. The haunting backing vocals are great IMO.
Billy was the coolest rock star since Johnny Cash. Both appealed to so many in different walks of life, from suburban Moms to prison inmates.

🎸 Great reaction Millie! You must see “Don’t need a gun” official music video, next level vocal performance.
You should check his band 'Generation X' before he went solo.
'King Rocker' was the biggest hit they had in 1979 😊
Millie I really like your band, yall have talent and I like yalls sound. ❤
My sisters would go giddy when Billy Idol's Catch My Fall video came on...(he's naked and taking a shower in it).
I saw Billy Idol in concert here in Italy a few years ago, it's always a show. Steve Stevens the guitarist is still with him, he has his own recognizable style. Great pick he has a great voice
Don't forget Billy is nearly 69! We played "White Wedding" at our daughter's wedding in 2013.
the late Sal Cuevas was the bass player on this song.
The late Puerto Rican salsa bass master Sal Cuevas played bass on this track
TEMAZO!!! good react!

I don't know if you've listened to anything off his Cyberpunk album, but that my favorite. Shock to The System is a good rocking track on it.

In an alternate universe, Millie is in this video. And it's remade everyday.
You should have a look at his 'To Be A Lover' music video. Sure you will like the video.
He was my neighbor when I lived in Manhattan.
Catch my fall, billy idol 👍
(3:34) Hearing you gushing about Billy from the start, I was like, Wait until the song revs-up.
Blue Highway is a great song and a great guitar riff
btw Steve Stevens plays on Michael Jackson's Dirty Dianna. He's pretty underrated if you ask me
Steve Stevens grew up in my brother in law’s neighborhood in Ozone Park Queens NYC!
1983 - 19 and riding around in the back of Marina's Mustang on a Saturday night in Northern California, kissing Suzi while Marina drove us in wide looping circles around town...but really only wanting to kiss Marina. ...this playing on the radio....
check out 2 of his newer songs: 'eyes wide shut'/'bitter taste'.
As someone who grew up in the 80’s, I’m glad that you didn’t dress up in all neon colors, because so many people think that’s the only thing we ever wore back then.
Billy Idol Is The Best 💯, Great Reaction Sweetheart ❤
In this song you can also hear that Steve Stevens played guitar on a few songs by Michael Jackson
