Ok so, when many of the news outlets say that they think Charlie “did well” on his cross examination, IMO they really mean that he did a good job at staying calm, not getting defensive or rattled by Georgia, and he was obviously very familiar with the literal evidence of the case. BUT, regardless of that, he did NOT come across as credible, he was not honest, I did not find him likable, and his story combined with his so called circumstantial evidence, was so ridiculous that it was insulting. This is one of the best commentaries and discussion about the jail calls!! Finally got a chance to watch. What's readily apparent is the complete detachment from reality this bizarre family possesses. I have no idea why I am surprised, but now it makes sense, as you watch the trial, you could see Charlie so calm and 'smirky' and I recall thinking wow, I believe he thinks this is going in his favor! This phone conversation totally affirms this for me. They are snarky and selfish which are not crimes, but explains a lot. I find them whiney and entitled. But having a lack of empathy for his children is not okay - most people when we are watching things like this forget that most people start attacking the entire family and his boys have NOTHING to do with it - and maybe with the right community surrounding them and supporting them - they will have a better chance than if he was out in the world. I CERTAINLY am of this opinion and they are better off without their grandmother, grandfather and their aunt should NOT be allowed to be around them. If he was remorseful - this would be a different take and maybe he will have some hard lessons where he will learn he is not top of the food chain and will need to quit being a wanna-be thug. I doubt it because prison is not about change and making things better. I wish after these sentences all the energy of hating on these people could go to the support of Dan's family and children and make it a non-issue that he is sentenced and done.

I'm in Connecticut, but I hadn't heard of the Markel murder until after Donna was arrested. Since then, however, publicity surrounding the Markel murder/Adelson cases has been off the charts. So much so it may be difficult to find unbiased juries for Donna's and eventually Wendi's trials. Charlie's biggest problem was his inability to accept how much evidence there was against him. A related problem is that he thought having an answer for everything helped him when he needed a believable answer for everything. As for Donna's & Harvey's concerns, I don't see how anyone can be deemed to be "totally innocent" based solely on a defendant's testimony.
Honestly kinda sad when you hear him saying he couldn’t wait to see his son. But he really had nothing to gain by doing this he should of just let it be. He has such a great life. Hello LYK family.. I wonder if Peter has counted the memberships gifted by @netwoman this year... So incredibly generous.. Much love to you, @netwoman! ❤❤❤❤
I’m utterly obsessed with these people. The evidence was overwhelming for the state and his “truth,” was so bizarre. It was like a puzzle and his puzzle didn’t fit at all and whats more bizarre is Charlie can’t even admit that his story regardless of being his “truth,” sounds absolutely far fetched and doesn’t align at all, if he would have at least agreed that it sounded crazy, but “true,” he still would have been founded guilty, but MAYBE he would have got a little more credibility. But, I disagree with Peter on the online trend, all I see is he’s guilty.
I agree. Charlie would have been convicted anywhere. He did well on the stand but , as you said, Peter, there was just so much evidence against him! He completely lost sight of that.
In curious out of a family of 4, why was there not one person that said, maybe this is a bad idea? If only Robert had lived in south Florida Dan would be alive.
I think CA's attorney did an excellent job of making Charlie & his family believe that Charlie was not only going to go home that day, but that he was actually innocent of his charged crimes😅😂! It doesn't matter if he does 'well on the stand' if he is in fact GUILTY beyond a reasonable doubt. We didn't get to hear or see everything that was put up for the jury to consider....
The problem with Lawyers is that they look through the eyes of a Lawyer, they cannot look through the lens of a Juror, because they are so twisted and complicated in their thinking due to being in it, dealing with cases, juries, etc. a Juror looks through the eyes of the everyday average person. That is why only Lawyers are saying Charlie did a good job on the stand. He did in the way that he was calm, and all that. But you do not do well on the stand when you constantly lie and the Jury sees through it. When it is an obvious lie, the Jury will see that. A Lawyer thinks they wont. Lawyers view of the outcome is always skewed and affected by biases due to their position. That is why the public knows best when it comes to outcomes, and why you saying Charlie did a good job on the stand Peter, is expected but very wrong as we saw by the result.
Oh my goodness I received a gifted membership. Thank you to the giver I'm guessing NetWoman but not sure I'm on the rewatch. ❤ Gratitude Gratitude Gratitude
I still can't believe Janine Driver, FBI profiler doubled down that Wendi was telling the truth, at the police interview because she showed open palms. What about covering her face, crossing her arms, downward palms, hyperventilating, nodding yes/no when it's the opposite etc etc?? I know that fake crying, I did it when my scumbag father died. I covered my face because I was actually laughing and happy that he was finally dead. In the police interview, Wendi mentioned that the security company had an alert of security breach at Dan's house on the 17th Jul, THE DAY BEFORE! Wendi also drove to the crime scene and still no panic, or concern that something could have happened to Dan or the boys? What a load of bull crap! I think that security breach was a "trial run" for the hitmen in case they had to go in the house to kill Dan. The reason these 4 Addlesnarks thinks they are innocent is this: For those who eat meat, do we ever think about the slaughter of the chicken/cow/pig etc?? NO...right? It's the same way the 4 Addlesnarks think they are innocent, they paid for someone else to slaughter Dan, get blood on the butchers hands, and in their narcissistic minds, it means it's something they are not involved with....it's something distant, something not to think about. Because none of us think of the butcher, we only enjoy the meat.
I’m stunned that anyone thought Charlie’s testimony went great. He was smart mouthed, nonsensical, smirking, glib, illogical, arrogant, cold, and extremely unlikeable. His testimony made his defense all the worse. The fact that Charlie attempts to attack Ms. Georgia Cappleman’s brilliant, cogent, logical closing shows how delusional this man is. As Georgia reminded him in her cross, “I’ll do that in closing.” And she sure did. She knew exactly what she was doing. She’s had years and two trials to present this case.
He thinks a Miami jury would've got him off b/c he thinks they're just like him. Ha! Total narcissist doesn't realize that most people would look at the evidence and laugh at his rendition of the double extortion no matter where they may reside.
Sounded to me like Charlie and Donna discounted circumstantial evidence (ignoring the judge's direction that cir. and direct evidence are of equal weight).
You thought it went well? He severely underestimated the competence of Cappleman who did a great job, she let him think he was getting the best of her.
the delusional highlight just hit me. it's when Charlie says he was hopeful for release, and he was already planning on what restaurant he was going to go to. saay WhaT ?? in what world does he think he could just go out and ever have a normal dinner at a restaurant ??? he's famous, he's infamous, even if released he would be a social freak, he'd be stared at. mentals!
I disagree with Peter that Charlie did a good job on the stand. When a person is telling the truth, sometimes they have to take a moment to think about things. Sometimes they say they’re not sure. Sometimes they agree with a cross examination question, even if it makes them look bad. His story was so ridiculous and so rehearsed, and so guided by his attorney. It was complete BS from start to finish.
His conversation with Katie at the restaurant was impossible to explain away. He was arrested straight after the audio of that meeting was enhanced, and for good reason. He is angry the jury couldn't find reasonable doubt. He thought his story was plausible and he sold it well. Too bad Charlie, everyone saw through you.

About Becoy Hill,i was surprised when she eas writing and publishing a book so soon after the trial, and wondered if it was legal. So if she hadn't have gotten so hasty, taken longer, she could have maybe thought things through better, right from wrong, not been tempted to commit wrong!! And during the trial, kept her mind on what she needed to and not on needing to hurry and write a book, she would have saved herself trouble in both directions!!
Adelson’s look down on everyone.. they think they are better than everyone. Wait till Donna is found guilty!!
I can't wait!! I already have my timer set for September 😊
Btw, have you seen Charlie and hygienist on sts with Joel? If not, check it out. Charlie is a disgusting person and has no integrity as a periodontist. I'm especially happy he'll never work on children again.
Just missed it! Well I’ll start off the rewatch crew now!
Rewatch crew also signing on
How can any jury be really sure of what happened ?
So many twists and turns. And liars.
They used common sense
This is what happens when a Karen and Darren have to face consequences for their actions.
Replay crew here Peter😊 thank you for this video…agreeing with other members’ comments in that he talks about seeing his son…and the real tragedy is that Dan’s son will never see him again🥲🙏🎄
Do you believe how they don't think of Dan Markel not doing anything he used to do either??? This is a family who doesn't care if the man is dead
He suffered a brutal attack as well. They're perfectly happy living their Miami lives knowing this. They really don't care
They'd be even more happy if innocent Jeff took the fall for them and spent the rest of his life incarcerated as a murderer. These people are awful
"I paid for the best jury consultant in the country and I lost. That's a mistrial. "
😂😂
Tee hee...😁
I thought he wasn’t believable on cross. He came across as well rehearsed but still unbelievable.
Correct Charlie was not at all credibility.
Peter has become my go to for common sense court house / trial breakdowns.
Poor Chaw-lee!
I'm pet sitting for a boxer named Charli... she's ADORABLE! I was calling her Chow-lee this morning!
Nice to finally see and hear why during the trial Charly had these smirks on his arrogant face!! And now the arrogance he and his mother are talking about the prosecutor. Despicable people!!
Just want to say thank you for all your time work put forth in creating this content. I so enjoy watching. You explain things so well and I learn so much. Happy New Year!🎉
Late to this party but I do think there’s a much different sensibility in the community between TLH and MIA.
Everything Charlie says is the words of a Guilty man. He cannot believe the Jurors did not believe his absolute BS lies.
Thank you for an informative 2023 looking forward to 2024 with yal.
I find it utterly absurd that he’s so arrogant he thought he’d walk.
These phone calls are har to understand for me due to quality
Honestly kinda sad when you hear him saying he couldn’t wait to see his son. But he really had nothing to gain by doing this he should of just let it be. He has such a great life. Why would he ruin it for his sister to be able to move with the kids. Like it makes zero sense. He really thought he could get away with jt
I believe that Charlie thinks, if he says it, we should believe it.
Because he is ,,,,,,,

You should marry Charlie.
@@andrearel3703 you should marry Wendi. 🎉
@@Kassel1982 Only if our wedding is kosher.
I agree. Charlie would have been convicted anywhere. He did well on the stand but , as you said, Peter, there was just so much evidence against him! He completely lost sight of that.
Good explanation of Miami v. tally. Spoken lke only a native FL could ❤
In curious out of a family of 4, why was there not one person that said, maybe this is a bad idea? If only Robert had lived in south Florida Dan would be alive.
I do not believe the family ever told Donna NO.
Great job as always Peter!
I dont believe for one second many people think he looked innocent
Same verdict, Miami vs Tallahassee vs Chicago vs LA
Thank you for taking the time to do this.
The reason these 4 Addlesnarks thinks they are innocent is this:
For those who eat meat, do we ever think about the slaughter of the chicken/cow/pig etc??
"Soylent Green is People!"
Donna said people said his testimony “would get him off”. That doesn’t sound innocent.
I can't believe that they really think they were going to get away with killing someone!!
Same verdict
If you were so innocent Charlie.. why didnt your parents.. Brie... testify in your defence??? No one testified
Watching you from NC today! ❤ south Florida girl
AND THEY were sure and got the 💯 verdict . Periot
The Prosecutor had the truth!
Sounded to me like Charlie and Donna discounted circumstantial evidence (ignoring the judge's direction that cir. and direct evidence are of equal weight).
You thought it went well? He severely underestimated the competence of Cappleman who did a great job, she let him think he was getting the best of her.
the delusional highlight just hit me.
it's when Charlie says he was hopeful for release, and he was already planning on what restaurant he was going to go to. saay WhaT ??
in what world does he think he could just go out and ever have a normal dinner at a restaurant ??? he's famous, he's infamous, even if released he would be a social freak, he'd be stared at. mentals!
Explain to me how if we all feel she's guilty how are we not also jurors??
As the saying goes "the further north you go in Florida, the more south it gets".
Exactly he was too smooth definitely rehearsed.
Thanks for the insight !
