In my country, the C4 42" is double the price compared to the C2 42" I bought 2 years ago. I do like 144 Hz upgrade though. If the C4 42" goes down in price during Black Friday, I might upgrade and give my C2 to my parents.
LG TVs rarely get discounts; they retain good value over time. Even the C2 42" could be sold for a good price used. My favorite feature is also the expression enhancer, but I'm hopeful that the next gen, the C5, would have MLA and a heatsink. It's about time to get that significant brightness increase!!
Been thinking of changing my AW3225QF to a 42" C4, I love my AW32 but C4 just looks insane, I had a 55" CX in past and other then brightness in SDR it was beautiful
It's a beast. Absolutely, the leap from CX to C4 is noticeable. I'm not familiar with Alienware monitors, but I know they're good, especially the QD-OLED
Thanks for making this video Techosaur. I greatly look forward to your C3 vs. C4 video. No one has done a side by side of last years vs this years 42 model. You will surely be the first.
I’m preparing a QN90D 43” vs. C4 42” comparison next. I don’t have a C3, but I do have a C2. On the positive side, there will be some improvements in the testing setup for TVs and monitors in that next comparison and beyond, such as hiding ambient objects/lights to provide better color accuracy, thanks for support!
Okay, thanks for the clarification. I read the comment above wrong. For some reason I thought it said C3 would be next, but it clearly says QN90D 43. That will also be an interesting comparison to see.
Yes, but it would be more visible if you put it side by side with previous models, go to image settings, and check the expression enhancer, brightness option increase it
@@TECHOSAUR Thanks for the quick response. That kind off justifies it a bit to buy the new one with a premium. I really think brightness is the only downside of the C series 42 inch. If I could buy a G3 / G4 in 42 inch I would definitely do but I think its more of a physical limitation that MLA would get too hot on that size.
@diederik6975 Probably having MLA would have made it perfect release. but I still find the C4 a good improvement. If you spend more time in its settings and are familiar with the previous ones, you will find quite a few changes. There is no one big feature, but small ones that make up for it
Depending on how far your bed is from your desk, I haven’t tried any QD-OLED monitors yet. I’m supposed to get the G8 OLED but have to wait a bit. I think the QD OLED will be brighter compared to the WOLED of the C4. But usually, you will find TVs at a more competitive price than monitors. In my humble opinion, you could never go wrong with either of them, but the C4 is a reliable multipurpose option while giving you a good display size if you sit far away to enjoy watching. I don't have any problems. QD OLED monitors are a good option, but sitting far away and watching through a 32" monitor is not that convenient, at least for me. I would go with the C4 42". At least I can use it for when I don’t sit on desk
thanks would be a rthx3080 enough? I am not playing demanding games and which cable do I need hmdi 2.1, display port or a display port to hdmi cable? and is there a option to install the monitor with a bracket on the wall?
@ds_3416 Yes, you can use a VESA wall mount (300 x 200). The C4 has 4x HDMI 2.1 at 144 Hz and no DisplayPort. I would recommend that you connect it to your GPU's HDMI 2.1 port; it's better than DP 1.4. Yes, the RTX 3080 with DLSS/FSR 3 with frame generation can easily play games on 4K, of course, with RT not at max settings But it's decent for most games.

@DeanWClark, thanks for the support.
You all the driving force behind this channel 🫶
Could you do a comparison video with the 43qn90d and the C4 for PC use?
Absolutely!
@@TECHOSAUR Thanks! Will turn notifications on to be on the lookout.
@@Robles006 I'm honored
Thanks for ur support 🙏
I just ordered the C4, but I notice here there isn't really a brightness difference haha.
Do you notice one in person?
Yes, but it would be more visible if you put it side by side with previous models, go to image settings, and check the expression enhancer, brightness option increase it

At 7,58, better image on C2. More details in the sky and mountain...Too much light on the C4, in this scene...
Probably just the camera clipping because the C4 gets brighter.
I am watching movies from my bed and playing on the desk whould you prefer a 32' QD-OLED Monitor or a 42' LG C4 TV ?thanks

Bro Samsung QN90D vs LG C4 🙏
soon! 👍
Oled C4 or Samsung G6
The G6 is 1440p,
while the C4 is 4k.
It depends on whether your GPU is capable and you prefer a bigger size display.
I don't have the G6
@@TECHOSAUR No my gpu is maximum to 1440p. Is 2080 Super, but probably I will to 4080 Super soon. Anway thank’s for reply
Well, it sounds like a C4 is better for future-proofing if you can find it for a good price. It has more uses.
C4 is better
nice I have the c2 oled that c4 is looking good.
The C2 is still holding its position even after two generations.
Once they upgrade the C to have MLA, it will be more worthwhile upgrading.
Hmm... I'm not sure 'AI' is 'pick which of these thumbnails looks nicest to you' >.>
please use anime and cartoons shows while distinguishing
That's a good idea, I'm going to try them with flashy cartoony scenes as well, thanks for the input
