I have the S95c + 990b soundbar for Q-Symphony. Amazing combination! 😍 I love the G4; maybe I'll consider buying it in the future. I have the GX in my bedroom too.
What I instantly noticed about the G3 was how bad the colour settings were out of the box. After two evenings I finally realised that the energy saving mode was still enabled.
I guess it depends if you see a benefit to the changes. I agree though that every year (like we do with phones) is excessive for most, unless there's one change (like brightness/screen coating/gaming features) that stands out to you personally.
exactly min is 5 6 yrs or max 10 11 yrs till the TV survives. intex 1st 40 inch lcd which was launched in 2010 and we bought in 2010... last upto 2021.. it was built like a tank . LCD has no market now... only Led exist . so we did not able to get it repaired . . its inverter chip was unavailable in our whole market
Both tvs are very very similar while watching content because the peak brightness improvements are incrimental. But for gaming they are night and day because Lg now implemented their colour boosting algorithm into game mode ( all other Lg Tvs dont use the panels full potential in game mode which has been a well known problem for years )
I have a 65 inch G1 and its still a great TV after 3 years. LG fixed a lot of the issues it was having when the G1 was first released. Maybe I'll upgrade to the G6 or the G7.
I have the 65" G2 and 77" G3. Great review. I found a slight difference between the G2 and G3. Probably the same as you have commented from the G3 to the G4. Any Gallery series TV is an excellent choice and you can't go wrong with any of this LG product.

Nice OLEDs. I have the LG C2 48" which works very well for me. I usually upgrade my TVs roughly 5-7 years unless something has gone wrong with it. I don't see the need to upgrade so often, unless you sell and buy your TVs every year which is a bit more of a hassle than I'm willing to go through every year.
I hadn't bought a new tv in about 7 years so i ended up picking up the LG G4 cause i didn't really have a budget i wasn't about to settle i was getting what i wanted no matter the cost. But u can't go wrong with either one they both look amazing. Even the C series looks amazing

FeaturesI'd like to see: 1. Build your own homescreen. Make it more like android where you can resize and move apps, cards, ads, etc. 2. A wider set of mounting points added would be nice. I just ordered the G3 77", and I would like to put it on a stand/eet that put the feet much closer to the outside edges to make room for a center channel or sound bar underneath (as opposed to out in front of the LG base, or on a shelf below. 3. A smart, home theater setup feature would be cool. One where you enter in the types and/or model numbers of your soundboard, receiver, apple tv/roku/etc, game consoles, etc. and then based on what's in your system, and maybe some questions about preferences, it will tell you how to connect them all together for the best picture, sound, and performance. It could show wiring configurations on the screen, as well as the ports 4. Detachable/replaceable cord 5. If the tv could control led backlight straps it would be awesome. What I am imagining is a strip of LEDs that plug into the TV's USB. Then the tv controls the color of the backlight based on what is on the screen. There are backlight kits with a camera that look at the screen, and use that to control the lights, but I feel like the tv could easily send that information out of a USB to the light source.

Spawnpoint, i love the vids, ive been trying to find whats the best 4k 32" monitor under or around $500 (for ps5) but i just cant find any confiable reviews do you have any suggestions?
The Pioneer Plasmas were incredible TVs, I can see why you're holding on to it haha. Tough choice between the A95L and G4, I'd say the Sony is better on colours/movies, but the G4 for gaming and it's slightly brighter.
dude, my plasma finally died after 9 years… the colors were still on par with OLEDs (except blacks)… waiting for black friday… or in the case of Costco, wait within the 30 days to purchase. (Costco will take care of the difference)
My 2015 65" Samsung is still working strong... apart from an annoying compatibility issue with the Vizio 5-channel speakers creating intermittent gaps in audio when playing certain UA-cam videos (gaps that aren't available when switching to the TV speakers). I'll save that money for a MSI MPG 321URX QD-OLED (if I can FIND one)!!
Great vid! I just bought the LG G3 83”, which is 50% cheaper than the G4 83”. Since I mainly use it in a dark room for gaming and movies it’s a bargain for the price versus the G4.

would you go to last years G3 for a discount? Or do you think the A11 chip and better brightness is worth an extra 1k for the G4. I’m coming from an LG E6 (glas back panel) still works great but I want larger. I do like the inky black reminiscent of old plasmas. My fear tho is the the new brightness of the G4 will wash out the image and won’t be as rich. Plus. Fun fact is that the G3 was the last year LG did ATSC 3.0 next gen tuners in their TV’s standard. which I’m upset about as I watch antenna TV. All that said. I’m debating G3 or G4 83”. Is the 83”G3 non MLA a big enough deal to go G4 How bright is G4? Will it wash an image out? Thank you for your help. I dig ur videos. Sidebar, heard form a Best Buy employee that the 4 series has issues. He said he’s replaced 3 panels since they’ve been up in the store. Think they were the B&C tho, smaller sizes. Heard anything about that?
Good old fashion upselling. I have the G1 and it looks amazing! Next year when the G5 comes out. They will tell you why you should get the G5 and how the G4 isn't as good as the G5. I don't keep my OLED in sunlight so that isn't a factor. The brighter you make TV's the hotter they will get and the shorter the life span of the TV.
Just purchased the 65" G3 for $1892 which was $1K less than the G4. Purchased in Florida from BrandsMart and was $407 cheaper than Best Buy. I also purchased a Sanus stand which is like a iron brick protecting my investment. I cannot wall hang. This is upgrading from an 8 year old Samsung SUHD which was high end at time of purchase. Samsung panel is going with light bars coming from both sides which is really annoying and overall drop in picture quality. Looking forward to the OLED which will be used a in a bright room but no direct sunlight.

Can you review the TCL QM851G 65” (2024)? I’ve been seeing lots of reviews praising its gaming capabilities and being the best budget gaming TV, some even saying it’s comparable to the LG G4 and Sony Bravia 9 (at least in terms of gaming). The TCL QM851G supports HDMI 2.1 up to 144hz, it was tested at around 6,000 nits of peak brightness, and it has an extensive game mode with up to 240 VRR. I want to know your thoughts on it, and just how much better the LG and Sony are? I’m assuming you wouldn’t be able to tell any difference unless it was side by side. The TCL’s gaming features is what really drew me in.
@@Warscar. I would recommend the G model instead if the store has a good offer. It gets much brighter and has a heat sink as well to prevent burning pixels.
Fantastic review Spawn. If it were me I would save money and get the G3 because save for a little bit more brightness on the G4 both tv's are pretty much the same. But again great review.
LG C3/C4 is good option for ppl who want to buy budget OLED TV especially LG C3 probably got a lot of price cut this year. I'm using LG C3 and i love it.
But they are not really having all these new outstanding features, especially not the brightness. The C3 is actually less bright than my Sony A80J from 2021.
Nice OLED, I think it really comes down to when you bought the G3 if someone is passed the return policy then the G3 is a fantastic choice, not only that it also depends on the person's financial situation, both will give you a great picture the difference is settled in most cases. I have the G3 I can say it quite bright for most use cases, I love gaming on it not only that the color pop is amazing
It would seem the G4 is possibly losing detail for that little bit more of brightness? If it weren’t for the new processor, the G3 might actually be the better choice?
Who's got an OLED? Let me know what you're using.
I'm using a Samsung KS8000 65" bought in 2017, still going strong in 2024.

Hey spawn. I think that you should do a video about a budget gaming monitor for the Series X like the one you did for the Ps5
I hear that game mode on the G4 looks a lot better than the G3?
G3 or C4? Looking 65”, table stand
The last TV I bought was in 2008 it was the Pioneer Kuro 50 inch , so I'm gonna get a huge upgrade but should I buy the G3 or the G4 there's a £600 price difference , let me know , I'm listening
The level of big tech you get such as tv? Do you return them or give them away or have like a football stadium size storage unit or something lol?
Thank you for the review. Your channel deserves support. Can you remove a video from TV settings?
You don't use just scan on? Aspect ratio original and just scan on is 1 on 1 pixel mapping.
Just offtopic, i see that you used a 2.0 hdmi splitter. Did you get the same gaming experience instead of the hdmi directly connected to the tv?
I don’t get 120hz but for the video demo that’s fine. My real world testing I directly plugged the consoles in for the best experience.
I have the c2 48 evo, would I notice much of a difference to upgrade to the g4? Is it worth it?
Where can I get same the stand in the LG G3 for my LG G4
Would you be opening to reviewing the hisense U8N?
These tv’s look very good. I got a C1 and G2. I will wait 3 years or so before considering upgrading my C1.
I got my 77c1 two and a half years ago, thinking to upgrade to c4, still couldn't be sure 😊
@@Warscar. I would recommend the G model instead if the store has a good offer. It gets much brighter and has a heat sink as well to prevent burning pixels.
@@PenPineappleApplePen007 yeah if i could get my cheques paid 🙂
Gaming on the LG G4 definitely a dream setup ❤💙
Yes man, gaming is awesome.
Loving my OLED G3. Thanks for the comparison.
That’s a great screen! You should be happy 💪
Fantastic review Spawn. If it were me I would save money and get the G3 because save for a little bit more brightness on the G4 both tv's are pretty much the same. But again great review.
Could I buy the c4 42inch to deal with the homework’s and encoding 🤔
Worth it to buy the 83” G4 for 5,000 or buy last years 83”G3 for 3,500?
Whats the white table the TV on the left is on? I wanna buy 1
Nice oleds, do you know by any chance if the LG G4 stand works in the G3?
Great question. When I dismantle it I’ll try and test it.
I’m sure I read somewhere that the G3 is also part of the renew (update) program?
So happy I'm subed to this channel. 😢 love the content
Thanks dude!
Nice oleds. Gonna wait till Black Friday to get the G4 65 inch. Looks amazing
I’ve got OLED CX is there much difference in picture quality
Nice OLEDs! LG continues to be the king of OLED TVs.
Also panasonic is king , 2 kings❤❤
Sony is GIGACHAD OF OLEDS 🤣
@@derek4177 sony is 💩💩💩💩💩🙈🙈🙈🙈🙊🙊🙊🙊
motion settings g3 vs g4? Heard G4 is better for cinematic movies
Your content is so attractive
Keep up the good work
It would seem the G4 is possibly losing detail for that little bit more of brightness? If it weren’t for the new processor, the G3 might actually be the better choice?
I'm not seeing any loss in detail at all. It's not blowing the colours/whites out, it's just elevating them.
