If you think about it, the Samsung Odyssey Neo G7 S32BG75 Monitor has 1,196 zones, so it may be possible. I tried that monitor; it's dazzlingly beautiful, but I wanted a bigger size
Great and comprehensive comparison! How would QN85D compare to QN90C, any inputs on that would help me as they are very close in price range to each other. Thanks!
It depends on what you mainly use it for. If you care about lower-resolution upscaling, I've seen a difference between the two - in fact, a big one in upscaling quality. Also, the local dimming algorithm seems more responsive because of a better chip. All things that fall within image processing are better on the QN90D due to a newer generation. But the panels on mine were similar, as they're VA. But I think at a big size, it's not VA but ADS. I don't have big-size models, but if I were to choose, I would pick the QN90D On mine I can see better factory calibration for color gamut compared to QN90C, HDR is truly magical, and I love playing a lot on it.

Can you check this another video I used to compare it again, LG C4 42? ua-cam.com/video/YpIIazzqvMw/v-deo.htmlsi=8TQ9MOJrTGp9nXwx At min 7:30 I show viewing angles as much as I could. Hope it's useful!
The qn90c in 43" that you have, doesn't have the antireflection coating-ADS panel as the 55" and up qn90c's have, thus the viewing angle is not that good as the bigger sizes. I haven't found any details about 43" qn90D panel of 2024, whether the antireflection coating is there or not. Can you tell if the viewing angle of your 43 qn90D are better than the 43qn90c? Did they improve it from last years qn90c? Couldn't find an answer in your video. Thank you!
I don't have any larger than the 43-inch for the QN90C, but looking at the QN90C Samsung page when you get to the anti-reflection feature, there are no notes saying that the 55-inch and up have it only. Like when you check other features, it should list which ones have it, as in the case of the anti-coating. It doesn't state that, therefore I believe that the QN90C 43-inch does indeed have it as well. Besides, the QN90D 43-inch has the exact display coating; it's anti-reflective to me. The viewing angles are the same, and it's a VA panel for both. I haven't seen any difference, but the improvements for me lie in the color representation and color tone. The QN90D has significant positive points in giving overall improved highlights and real white color tone. The QN90C, at least mine, had a bluish tone even when I set the option to default standard.
@@TECHOSAUR thank you for your thorough explanation. I was very mistaken. The viewing angle difference between the qn90c of 43, 50" versus the 55" and bigger, lays in another technology named "ultra viewing agnles" which they implemented within the antireflective coats of the bigger ones. The qn90c tv's have 2 different panels as I noted before , VA for the smaller and ADS for the bigger. Surprisingly , I found info stating that the new qn90d's are VA panels regardless the size and the viewing agnles are still unfortunate (the latter one is according to another video of yours reviewing the qn90d 43"). So sad that nowadays TV companies neglect their smaller sized screens.
No, same as the QN90C, a VA panel, and colors really shift and get washed out if you start to look at it from an angle. Also, there is blooming. I usually face it straight forward since I use it as a personal desk TV/monitor, so I believe if you plan to put it at an angle, it's a bad idea; it will ruin the good image quality you can get when you face it straightly.
@@TECHOSAUR Does game mode is available for both console and PC? For the TCL QLEDs, connecting a PC doesn't activate the game master but only for the console.
Can you please specify in what aspect you mean to know about? If you are interested in upscaling, then yes, if you have a lower resolution movie than 4K, it would upscale really well. Playing that movie part which I shown which is 720p is really mind-blowing. Also, I love the color tone, contrast, and everything just feels great. If you have a specific question, please let me know. I don't usually review TVs and monitors. I have somewhat limited experience, but I tried LG C1, C2, and this year's C4. Also, last year's Samsung QN90C 43. To me, the QN90D 43 hits the mark for what I use and is a good improvement, the only problem for me is the panel latency, it's leaves lots of image trailing in work office setup
I had the QN90C 43", and while there are some notable improvements with the QN90D, it really comes down to personal experience. The QN90C had a slightly colder color tone, which manual required calibration and i still didn't get it right due to not having screen calibration tools , the QN90D came way better factory-calibrated-setting the color to standard gives an accurate white tone right out of the box. Local dimming has also improved, not in terms of zones quantity but in response due to a better processor, and low-resolution upscaling has seen noticeable enhancement issues like panel latency and viewing angles remain. If you're happy with your QN90C, it might be worth waiting until the 2025 models. However, if you find a good deal on the QN90D and can trade or sell your current model without much loss, it could be worth considering. That's what I did!

Surprisingly , I found info stating that the new qn90d's are VA panels regardless the size and the viewing agnles are still unfortunate (the latter one is according to another video of yours reviewing the qn90d 43"). So sad that nowadays TV companies neglect their smaller sized screens.
are the qn90d viewing angles any better?
No, same as the QN90C, a VA panel, and colors really shift and get washed out if you start to look at it from an angle. Also, there is blooming.
I usually face it straight forward since I use it as a personal desk TV/monitor, so I believe if you plan to put it at an angle, it's a bad idea; it will ruin the good image quality you can get when you face it straightly.
thank you excellent work, the manufactures should hire you! Thank you!!!
Thank you, you humbled me with your comment 😆
very good review thanks
Glad to know, you are welcome
I just got the QN90D and tested it with PC The Witcher 3 there is ghosting although it will depend how sensitive you are to it
Did you put it on game mode ?
@@TECHOSAUR Does game mode is available for both console and PC? For the TCL QLEDs, connecting a PC doesn't activate the game master but only for the console.
Your review is really outstanding. Dude you will succeed with this channel.
Thanks, your comment is a good motivator!!!
I appreciate it 🙏
Great video bro!!
Do movies look good on the QN90D TV?
I have a 65" qn90C, is it worth the upgrade to the D? (Lol)
Local dimming has also improved, not in terms of zones quantity but in response due to a better processor, and low-resolution upscaling has seen noticeable enhancement
issues like panel latency and viewing angles remain. If you're happy with your QN90C, it might be worth waiting until the 2025 models. However, if you find a good deal on the QN90D and can trade or sell your current model without much loss, it could be worth considering. That's what I did!
@@TECHOSAUR thank you
Your review made me turn my head ovec Hisense 75 inch U8N ? And please at least 15 sec on videos to feel the difference Br
Nelle scene in hd mi è sembrato che ne 90C l' effetto blu è piu presente!
è vero, strano, entrambi settati con una tonalità di colore Standard e non avevo mai realizzato che fosse troppo blu finché non li ho messi insieme 😅
buen video, gracias
You don't mention that QN90D doesn't support ATSC 3.0, BIG NEGATIVE.
Nobody has an antenna anymore 😅
@@SLICK8116 I do agree that the ATSC 3.0 rollout has been disappointing. There are only 2 ATSC 3.0 channels in my area but the picture quality is superb. To me it seems like a lot of people are cutting the cord and putting up antennas.
