The Superformance ammo doesn't use the Superformance powder necessarily. It's a poor marketing scheme if you ask me. But you know, Hornady is gonna Hornady.

A Remington custom 25-06 had been my go to Antelope rifle for over 30 years! My load work back then found a 100gr Sierra Gameking bullet, and either Reloader 19 or 22 was a very fast and accurate load, many Antelope can attest to! My rifle never seen a factory load!

The 25 cal is a fantastic round ..people underestimate it …great for deer……freaking sweet on coyotes let me tell you!!it’s my back up gun for moose …used it for black bear …here in Canada …my pet load is a 100 grain barns tsx or the ttsx ..any make of brass….winchester large rifle primers …and I have used others with same results…I’m using the new temperature insensitive powder..imr4451 …I’m using a browning bar yes semi and I’m printing 5/8..3/4’ groups…velocity is 3100..my previous load was only 2860..2890fps……..no recoil and a great gun a real great time hunting with it …I have dope out to 400 meters …this for me was a great investment…cheers to the 25 cal

Imr 4451 with Speer 87gr TNT FBHP is a dandy on varmints. Very, very accurate to say the least. Pretty fast also.
    Hornady 110eld-x proved to be
Accurate as well with both factory and handloads.
Rifles are Axis 25-06 and savage 110 action with Krieger 24" 1/10 twist factory cut chamber.
    Excellent cartridge in my experiences.

My first rifle was a 25 06 Remington 700 BDL. Got it in 1983. Whew long time ago. Tremendous velocity. I finally sold it about 3 or 4 years ago at Marks store. Great gun. Little bit of a kick to it. It will shoot I guarantee it. Mine did.

Looking forward to see how this turns out. Not a fan of the sst at all. Fragments way to much at higher velocities. Same with the eldx. I'll be doing some testing with the 130 grain cx in my 6.5 prc pretty soon. Will be the first time I use a monolithic bullet. Usually hunt with a bonded bullet. If you manage to find the new federal tipped fusion I'd love to see some testing in any cartridge. Won't see it here in Canada for a while. Subscribed

I've lost deer with those bullets. At greenfield ranges the super performance SST's will explode and not pass through. Lost two deer with them. I'm sold on bonded, partition, or solid copper from here on out for me!!!!

I took a buddy to TX on his first pronghorn hunt. He bought a Rem 700 Stainless in 308 along with Hornady factory ammo using the SST bullet. It took 5 shots to kill his buck because they kept blowing up on the scapula. When we got up to it and I saw nothing but raw bone he put the final 5th shot in it at 3 feet. For 30 years I've head about Nosler ballistic tips blowing up on game. I've been using them since 1990 and never had that experience. I will never ever use an SST on game. I have ONE box of 120 grain 6.5mm SSTs for the sole purpose of fireforming 6.5-284 Norma brass

I have 3 25-06s right now. My ruger 77 is very picky. After mucho testing, best group was a little over an inch. My browning abolt shoots half inch easily. Load testing hornady interbonds right now. Finally ran out of my trusty nosler 120 solid base bullets. This was before nosler changed to a premium bullet company and just made great bullets. All drt’s out to 300 yds, my longest shot on deer. Also shooting 25 creedmoor and 25 prc with the heavy for caliber bullets.

I’m wondering if the factory stuff is jamming also and if that could be the reason it’s not grouping better.
