I remember playing this game with my brother. Sitting on the carpeted floor of our game room. Xbox controller in hand. We would take turns playing, seeing who could last the longest without getting caught by the neighbor. The adrenaline rush we would get was so euphoric. It made us scream so loud our parents kept yelling at us to calm down. I remember learning the controls for the first time. I remember looking at countless UA-cam tutorials and trips in order to complete the first chapter. When I played I was old enough to understand that the goal was to get in the house and escape. However my brother was only around 5 at the time. He only wanted to get as close to the neighbor as possible and see how fast he could run and how many items he could throw before he was caught. We had no clue of the fun we were having. No clue of the nostalgia this simple melody would soon bring. Life sure was simpler then.

This song invokes something in me that I can't describe. I'm not a fan of Alpha 4 and onward, but this song always stuck out to me. The thing that Hello Neighbor got right was a solid soundtrack. This track always brings back memories of watching UA-camrs play the old Alphas that came out before this song even existed.

In 2017 my brother nearly died 3 months after his birth from organ failure, i remember coming home crying every day (my mum and dad stayed with my little brother for weeks so i was alone with my nan) so i started playing hello neighbor it was the only thing that brought me joy and realise now how much this game means to me i love this game with all my heart and wish i could be a little kid again

most of the people dont actually know the story so if you know it then dont complain in the replies mr peterson was a guy with a family (obviously) he had a wife and 2 children one a boy and the other a girl. mrpeterson goes out with his wife then they get in a terrible car accident, the neighbor is mostly ok but unfortunately lost his wife in the crash, when he gets home he breaks the news to his son and daughter, the son develops issues and is angry, then the son pushes the daughter off the house killing her, then the neighbor locks his son in the basement for what he did, eventually the kid starves to death and becomes a shadow demon, the speculation of why the crows are there at his home always is because crows are a sign of death and despair and well he lost his kids and wife. (PLS LIKE THAT TOOK ME SO LONG)
I think the son is not dead as seen in hello neighbor 2, maybe the black shadow is an embodiment of trauma because our protagonist Nicky can also see it after the house 1 and 2 incident.
@@0__V-1__0 Yes He isnt dead. And Son gets travma but the shadow is for the first main character. you know when nicky is younger he kidnapped in act 2. the escapıng chases, Nicky got serıously travma. and the shadow mean that.

i remember hello neighbor alpha 2, it was my favourite game back then, i couldn't play it because i had an old fujitsu office laptop and i didn't know back then how and what graphics were, i just wanted to play it. After some time i learned how to set the graphics to low and what graphics are in particular. I played that game non-stop, i was watching youtube tutorials 24/7 until i could beat the game myself. Steam says that i've played this game 23 hours in total, after school everyday i would hop on my laptop and beat it in 2 minutes. The laptop i was playing on died on me 3 months ago, i'll try to do anything to bring that laptop back to life and play one more time hello neighbor.

Ahh, when Hello Neighbor was actually decent! Back in the beta & alpha days! I remember I wanted to play but couldn’t because I had an I-pod! And than when it came out and got it’s popularity around 2019 I had just gotten my phone downloaded it and played the hell out of it! Only beat it once though! No matter how many times I tried I couldn’t beat it a second time! Ahh the memories of a 10-12 year old me makes me happy sad and sigh at how long ago this was! Hello neighbor was amazing for its time until they ruined it with the chapter 3 update! I will always remember and smile at this track because it reminds me of the past and how things used to be so much better in life back than then they are for me now!

Ahh, when Hello Neighbor was actually decent! Back in the beta & alpha days! I remember I wanted to play but couldn’t because I had an I-pod! And than when it came out and got it’s popularity around 2019 I had just gotten my phone downloaded it and played the hell out of it! Only beat it once though! No matter how many times I tried I couldn’t beat it a second time! Ahh the memories of a 10-12 year old me makes me happy sad and sigh at how long ago this was!
Hello neighbor was amazing for its time until they ruined it with the chapter 3 update! I will always remember and smile at this track because it reminds me of the past and how things used to be so much better in life back than then they are for me now!

If I could listen to this whole video, I would. I didn’t play the game much but i watched fgteev playing it and somehow, I just know this song. Something about it is so calming.
