We built houses to keep us safe from predators, then we built more to live in groups, then we built fun places so we don't get bored, then we built technology for information, then we abused all of that and it ended up like shit and now everyone blames it when we're actually at fault

This is heaven. Thank you for not looping the sounds so much that they're consistent. The inconsistencies and lack of pattern is absolutely perfect IMO. Also, the softness (for lack of a better word) of some sounds compared to others make it feel like I'm in this lovely place.
Yes! I can always recognize the pattern and where the loop restarts even in a white noise machine. and when I notice it, it drives me crazy.

Thank you for making this. I played this for my dog while she was sick and when she passed. She loved hiking in her earlier years and was the best girl ever. This helped her relax and sleep. I played it for her a lot when she could no longer get out into the woods. It was the only soundscape she really liked. It helped both of us very much. Thank you.

I like this background sound a lot. Sometimes with nature sounds there can be some birds or a water stream that is just too loud and comes to the foreground too much. But here everything is nicely balanced sounding. Very nice!

I'm stuck in the house during the coronavirus quarantine, and these sounds just bring me back to Michigan summertimes. This is exactly how a forest with a creek sounds during the summer.

Michigan has some of the most beautiful forests in my opinion very happy to have been born there!
I can't concentrate on my homework when I have music playing because my imagination goes wild every time or I pay too much attention to the music. A lot of the ambient noise videos I've found have also been quite distracting for some reason, but this one was perfect. It made my reading for one of my classes much less stressful and annoying than it could have been
Yeah, I usually experience that as someone that reads fiction. But this, this is perfect.
If you do decide to listen to music, try doing instrumental Ive found that it’s a lot easier to concentrate cause there’s no words to pay attention to. I listened to orchestrated versions of a lot of songs, you can find em on Spotify or UA-cam or something

Recenty moved into an apartment in an urban area. This reminds me of my old home in the suburbs. Never take things for granted even if it’s as simple bird chirp. Cherish the little things because they amount to the majority of life.

When I lived in Russia as a child, my grandparent's house was near a forest. I remember hearing this sort of ambience as I was falling asleep and waking up. I crave to go deep into a luscious green forest once again.

that is a dream of mine, building a little house like 20 meters up a tree in the middle of a dense forest and just sitting there reading when i have the time
personally, I would want a treehouse high up in the trees and my friends would also have treehouses in surrounding trees! We would have little ziplines which blend into the surrounding and we would all have the best binoculars for birdwatching. The would also be one special treehouse full of all the books we could ever need.

I would say it just naturaly happened you can't really control it but I do nature sounds when u go sleep a lot and I sleep near a window so the sun always wakes me up! 😊 and remember some people don't get shifts! Whether you do or not a lot of theirians / other hareted don't get shifts

I love how soft the ground is under your feet when you stroll around in the woods. Also the smells are some of my favorite damp moss,decomposing leaves, flowers and pine needles. Accompanied by that natural ambient music of wind going through the tree tops, birds , animals snapping twigs and moving the floor cover. As if that all wasn’t already good enough, we get blessed with all the different shading and light filtration hitting various leaves or lighting up a fallen tree in the distance. It really is a wonderful place to be.

After some time of imagining the delights of better days which I hoped would come, I rose. Soon after I found myself on the road again, listening to the sounds of nature rather than the growl of my stomach. A bird hopped upon a branch from an overhanging tree, the shade cooling my hot body. A woodpecker drilled away somewhere in the distance, the wind caused the grass and branches to tremble.

I'm currently a fourth year staying at my university, and this makes me feel so nostalgic. My childhood home is a log cabin in the middle of forest like this (minus the magic lmao) and I used to fall asleep to sounds just like this. Woodpeckers, crows, random bird calls, rustling leaves, and a small flowing creek was my nightly asmr

I remember once I went on a school Field trip and we explored a forest and learned about animals and insects and we paired up with two people. It was me and Sophia she was a bit annoying but it was solo calming exploring the forest on our owns and seeing plenty of fungi and animals, frogs, fish and birds. @e ended up getting lost though but we found our way back. That's why I want to live near a forest and hike/explore a forest again one day! :D
We also fed the birds and animals and pet them I remember we were told to find some cool stuff like insects and report back about it. It started raining a bit too. We even found a swamp!

@@thisisbob1001 When I run games I make copious use of ambient sounds; it really helps with immersion. I tend to use music only for special or important moments. If you think about movies, they're not playing music constantly - only when they want to create an emotional effect. Switching from ambiance to music is a really great technique and adds a lot of flavor to my game! My players love it too.
You should also check out mynoise.net. Right now it's my favorite ambiance website. The sound generators are incredible and dude is seriously obsessive about quality and variety. There are even a few specifically for RPGs but you can use any of them, adjust the levels, and stack sound generators to dial in the exact effect you want. It's free too.

Add a fan for white noise too. I have to for my tinnitus. I can't stand constant noise from outside. My father in law at 90 informed me that tinnitus can cause the fight or flight response with certain noise environments...thankfully because I thought it was just anxiety overload, but nope Its just sensory overload. Anyway white noise along with perfect ambient sounds equal perfect sleep! Well. Almost perfect. 😁

I have Tinnitus AND I tend to read and study with some noise isolating headphones on.
Listening to this 1. makes my Tinnitus barely noticeable, and 2. makes me feel like I'm not in an enclosed space. I feel like I'm outside in a park or in the woods. The only thing that's missing is sunlight.
Watch rawb wild videos on tinnitus it is cureable through diet , raw vegan

I hate it when people try to push esoteric believes and don't mention that its not scientific at all.
I don't have Tinnitus, but its amazing how relaxing work becomes, with ambient sounds in the background.
I have injury related tinnitus that's chronic. It has gotten WAY better since I went plant based , likely because most of what I try to eat is anti inflammatory. (Inflammation is involved in virtually all diseases and disorders.) But these ambience videos...like this one, help tremendously! That and a fan for white noise. 🤗😴

I'm working while playing this + ocean beach sound + white noise sound which makes me feel like I'm in a forest that's near a beach in heaven :)
The people I live with make a lot of noise at night this helps me sleep. I love it. It helps me read as well.

For some reason a forest with fog at night is terrifying but a forest with fog in the morning makes you feel safe
This reminds me of a 1st date I had with a girl earlier this year; I was on holiday in a city, she lived near that city so we met up, did some sightseeing, ate some awesome food and just lay on the grass in the park on a warm, but not too hot, summer day. It was a perfect date and a perfect day (yeah, I know it was only the 1st date, but she was amazing and it all just went *right*, y'know? Like everything just fell right into place)
We lived too far away, unfortunately, to make it work out, but this track reminds me of that park on that perfect afternoon.

I love how natural this sounds. After you’ve listened to a lot of ASMR videos, they start to sound the same in their structure. I prefer it when it seems like an actual slice of life.
I close my eyes and imagine the environment. It brings me a deep sadness that I cannot experience the wilderness all the time.
I would marry somebody to the sound of this. It's so peaceful and lovely.
A long time ago we found a wild kitten in our pool, my family searched for its mother but she was no where found. We named the kitten lucky and he is large and very gentle, I like to put this on so he can remember the forest again ❤️❤️
are you sure its a cat? racoons have been known to prey on the innocence of simple humans and fool you into taking them in so they can use your toilet and such.

Some people have just disconnected completely from nature. Is it weird? Yes. But it's growing wildly the amount of people? Yes. So in the future that will be quite "normal"
I'm not sure that people dislike nature sounds as much as they don't know how to enjoy them. I grew up and live in a big city, so I don't get to enjoy the sounds of nature much but calming this brings to my senses is pure bliss.

It's time to realise that our concrete cities could sound, feel and be much better if we mimic what was already there. These sounds give me a sense of peace and ease that is difficult to normally experience with a construction right in front of my apartment. Thanks for sharing.

I listen every day all day especially in the winter when I can't have my windows open. Helps my focus, helps my mental stability, I'm able to get things done and sort my thoughts with this track running on repeat all day long.
