There's probably a charitable argument to be made about how the dogma of the Jedi is supposed to be just as harmful as the dogma of the Sith, but given how lazy this show actually is, I don't feel like making that concession. It was a simple fantasy about a boy growing up to destroy evil and save his father. That's it. I fully agree on the sets. Because they basically just use that giant screen with digital backgrounds they have to contain scenes into small sets. Even the prequels had full green screen backgrounds but they still had a wide open room with platforms to walk around on instead of just staying in a 30x30 box with some props laid around

I definitely would’ve loved the kenobi trilogy they were gonna make years ago that they made a whole concept script for over the tv show. The concept script for the trilogy sounded awesome and actually made Reva’s character make more sense (ie having her not know Anakin was Vader until Obiwan told her making her turn against Vader). Also having a fight between Obiwan and Vader but have it end with Obiwan having to run away from him not just leaving him to live when he shouldve killed him

Plagueis couldn't create life twisted by the dark side, that is why Anakin was created as a response to his attempt. But in Acolyte it is somehow possible. How? How is Plagueis not capable of breaking the natural order of the force and thus causing it to reject him by creating Anakin, but the Witches succeed in doing something that is literally considered impossible? Even by Plaguies. By the way, I know its hard to read tones in a message like this. I am genuinely asking the question with no pissyness or irritation whatsoever. I am just curious.
But Anakin was called a vergence in episode 1. And he was made by the force in response to Plageus and Creamy Sheev trying to manipulate the force itself.

The Witches and their success contradict an entire theme about the nature of good and the force. How good will always overcome evil. But this show screws that up. I don't care what clever excuses people come up with for the show, so long as the core of the point of the story is compromised the way that it is now? This show sucks.

What i really find annoying about the whole “the force is female” “women don’t feel safe in star wars fandom” is that it focuses on the minority of the fandom. Every fandom has a sexist group in it. But the majority of that fandom doesnt care who likes Star Wars. The statements of “female fans are attacked by the male dominated fandom” just paints that every male star wars fan is a toxic sexist. Imagine you just like something and then because you like something with a fandom that has more men than women, you are labeled sexist cause of that even though you did nothing but will still be called sexist even if you defend yourself. That’s what i find annoying. Then it also brings the actual sexists of the fandom to light and make them more vocal which ends up doing more damage to the fans just existing.

I fully agree on the sets. Because they basically just use that giant screen with digital backgrounds they have to contain scenes into small sets. Even the prequels had full green screen backgrounds but they still had a wide open room with platforms to walk around on instead of just staying in a 30x30 box with some props laid around

I never watched anything from “The Acolyte” beyond Pastor Wes’ valid reviews and takes but I just really hope they don’t do anything that has to with General Grievous before he became a cyborg. Like, I know it sounds random but he’s the only Star Wars antagonist I know that is a big deal and isn’t a Jedi or a Sith (idk if he’s considered a Sith since he’s half droid & he can’t use the force even tho he was under Count Duku) AND doesn’t have a mainstream explanation for his origins. Plus he’s my favorite character 😋

I definitely would’ve loved the kenobi trilogy they were gonna make years ago that they made a whole concept script for over the tv show. The concept script for the trilogy sounded awesome and actually made Reva’s character make more sense (ie having her not know Anakin was Vader until Obiwan told her making her turn against Vader). Also having a fight between Obiwan and Vader but have it end with Obiwan having to run away from him not just leaving him to live when he shouldve killed him

I agreed with everything. Out of all of those shows im just not seeing how Andor was bad. Andor was AMAZING! On the run from the feds, jumping into a heist, then running away only to get caught for essentially loitering, INTO A JAIL BREAK THAT LEADS INTO THE REBELLION!
