I have a feeling a lot of the misinformation and dumb arguments start because of how popular the anime is, reaching even non anime fan audiences, combined with there being so many different dubs of it aswell as the anime being pretty different to the manga at times, this causes a lot of discourse and arguments with so many different types of fans who consume dragon ball content in different types of ways to various degrees, no other anime I can think of is this popular in western culture as DBZ is.

But the point I was making was that pokemon got that popular because of the games, not necessarily the TV show, when there's discussions involving popular anime, pokemon is hardly brought up because as a franchise, the anime only makes up a portion of it, atleast in my experience.

To be honest, I wasn't just shocked when Griffith did what he did. I was absolutely repulsed and saddened by it, the fact that he went to such lengths to get back at Guts despite Guts not doing anything to deserve what happened, coupled with what Griffith and the apostles did to Casca and The Band of The Hawk in general is just heartbreaking. The whole Eclipse situation is just a depressing and horrifying event all around. I've only seen 2 Star Wars movies, so I don't know much about the Anakin situation, but to me, what Griffith did was less shocking and more depressing and disgusting.

The anakin vs obi Wan fight was probably one of the best things to come out the prequel trilogy. I felt sad when Obi-Wan said how he failed Anakin and throughout the entire fight he has this face of true sadness and terror like he really has to fight his brother and in the end he couldn’t bring himself to finish him.
I enjoyed the Anakin talked as who within turning from the light to the dark, ended a whole religion alone with ending basically 99% of a population of Jedi, ended a war and created a whole empire that affected the whole galaxy for years and still left a scare to this day throughout the galaxy, his betrayal and turn over from Anakin to Darth Vader left a permanent mark onto the galaxy and Star Wars history as a whole
As far as worst fanbases go it’s basically pick your poison, for example if you want to always be in a state of perpetual disappointment and civil strife then there’s the Dragon Ball fandom while if you absolutely want to lose your faith in humanity real fast then there’s always MHA.

Adding to the Velma conversation, Velma took a beloved set of characters and turned them into mostly unlikeable parodys of the original. The characters we were supposed to hate are the funniest or most relatable (cough Fred!). They showed the greatest disrespect to the fans, to the source material, and to television.

For me, characters with most plot armor: 1st Ichigo: mostly the because the same points you brought up, but also he just so happens to have the power of like 3 different kinds of species just by chance. 2nd Naruto: Large chakra reserves, has strongest tailed demon whose power he can tap into, and also a reincarnation of a god, mastered sage mode quickly and more efficiently than pretty much everyone, despite being propped up as a talentless kid initially. 3rd Luffy: Has a broken and ridiculous devil fruit. 4th Goku: Is a saiyan, known to be the strongest kind there is. Interesting that you put Luffy second tho, you mentioned that you judged based on what the characters do when they’re back is against the wall right? I always thought Luffy for the most part earned his fights, a good example would be the Rob Lucci fight I’d say. Though idk, my memory pretty hazy with these characters so maybe I’m missing somethings.

To be honest, I wasn't just shocked when Griffith did what he did. I was absolutely repulsed and saddened by it, the fact that he went to such lengths to get back at Guts despite Guts not doing anything to deserve what happened, coupled with what Griffith and the apostles did to Casca and The Band of The Hawk in general is just heartbreaking. The whole Eclipse situation is just a depressing and horrifying event all around. I've only seen 2 Star Wars movies, so I don't know much about the Anakin situation, but to me, what Griffith did was less shocking and more depressing and disgusting.

The anakin vs obi Wan fight was probably one of the best things to come out the prequel trilogy. Adding to the Velma conversation, Velma took a beloved set of characters and turned them into mostly unlikeable parodys of the original. The characters we were supposed to hate are the funniest or most relatable (cough Fred!).

Everytime you encounter fans in person they are usually much better than the ones you see on social media the ones on social media are rude af and act like babies cause there’s no consequences for your behavior but in real life you can get knocked out quick if you disrespect the wrong person so they are more careful in real life

For me, characters with most plot armor:
1st Ichigo: mostly the because the same points you brought up, but also he just so happens to have the power of like 3 different kinds of species just by chance.
2nd Naruto: Large chakra reserves, has strongest tailed demon whose power he can tap into, and also a reincarnation of a god, mastered sage mode quickly and more efficiently than pretty much everyone, despite being propped up as a talentless kid initially.
3rd Luffy: Has a broken and ridiculous devil fruit.
4th Goku: Is a saiyan, known to be the strongest kind there is.
Interesting that you put Luffy second tho, you mentioned that you judged based on what the characters do when they’re back is against the wall right? I always thought Luffy for the most part earned his fights, a good example would be the Rob Lucci fight I’d say.
Though idk, my memory pretty hazy with these characters so maybe I’m missing somethings.
