It was one page in the comic but it was a smart idea to have this scene for episode 1. It got everyone talking after what woulda been a pretty so so opening episode.
Pretty sure I remember in the comics after some time travel shenanigans and them not being caught off guard by a seeming betrayal, managing to kick the hell out of Omniman with minimal help from Invincible. War Woman and Red Rush are shown capable of causing some noticeable injury even here (admittedly, Red Rush is struggling, but if Omni'd been pinned somehow, Rush would likely be able to put him down), and the water from fishman seems to have a signficant enough amount of force to push Omniman back a bit. True, Omni wasn't going full tilt, but then, neither were the guardians.

It's one of the most versatile of the 4 elements because of this reason, if you really wanted to you could just force the blood in someone's body away from their brain to knock them out or cause a heart attack. The human body being mostly water means you'd be very succeptable to a water bender if they didn't hold back. Make the water in your eyes burst, boil the blood in your veins, manipulate the fluid in the inner ear that controls balance to make someone dizzy/unbalanced and throw up, freeze their muscles solid etc. Avatar being a kids show meant they couldn't get too gorey or grim but bloodbending alone was as far as a PG-13 level show could get away with, if the show had a rating like Invincibles they would show just how fucked up a pissed off water bender could be. Most bending also relies on movement of the body to make work and water is the one that can outright completely seize control from another bender. It doesn't matter if you coild bend a boulder or shoot lightning if you can't move your body to even aim it. Imo Water and Earth are by far the best elements from Avatar for their sheer versatility (blood/ice/steam bending and the metal/lava bender respectively).

Darkwing II has access to the “Shadowverse”, which he can use to teleport using the shadows around him, and he can also drag any opponent into the shadowverse and leave them for nightmarish creatures to come take them. I think this Darkwing was trying to grab onto Omni man and drag him into the shadowverse, but if that’s what they were going for, then it was really poorly communicated. I would’ve set the power up in literally either of the scenes he had before this. Have him teleport to the battle in Washington, or maybe pick off some of the crooks in his rooftop battle, dragging them into the shadows.
