- Chicago Bears rumors are RED HOT with the 2024 NFL Draft just 10 days away. Did ESPN leak the Bears draft plans? ESPN reports that Caleb Williams will be the Bears draft pick at #1 overall, which isn’t a surprise. However, they also reported that trading down from the #9 pick is a big possibility. An NFC Scout said he’d “be shocked” if the Bears picked at #9 and expects GM Ryan Poles to trade down. ESPN NFL Draft analyst Jordan Reid said “don’t be surprised” if the Bears trade back and that targeting an EDGE like Jared Verse or Laiatu Latu after moving down a few spots is a real possibility. Chat Sports host Harrison Graham covers today’s Chicago Bears draft rumors.

I think it would be dumb dont give up a blue chip player
Crazy to even consider trading down from 9. There will be a few top players available...DRAFT ONE!
Exactly. Yes this team needs depth. We also need blue chip talent.
@@darealchopsThere are plenty of blue chip prospects in the first 20 or so picks of the draft. The Bears could move down, and still get one.
Depends on who is available at #9
Stay at 9 for Odunze
Drop a few slots for B. Thomas JR
They need a top receiver in THIS draft.
Could not agree more, now or never to take an elite young WR to learn from the big dogs. Stack that WR room for this young QB 💯 Plus no guarantees beyond this year with Keenan Allen, we NEED a young WR even if just for depth.
I say the Bears go all in this year to set CW up with the best possible offense. Trade capital for next year if you have to, go up and get MHJ, we need to groom a young stud WR, and what better time to do it with the vets we have to bring him up? 💪💯
Offensive line should be the 2nd greatest priority
I hope poles waits because if we can snag another receiver I say do it especially odunze
Love Rome Odunze's fit on the Bears' offense. Thanks for watching!
I wouldn't waste a pick on Byron Murphy. Poles drafted 3 guys last year at DL.
No way he’s picking a Dt tht early
Right and drafting a DT high means they are giving up on Gervon Dexter after one year and I don't think that is the Bears history.
@@coxscorner Jared verse dogg all day
@@coxscornerEverfleus runs a defense that runs 2-3 DT’s. I wouldn’t be surprised if they want more playmakers inside but they should trade down if they want that position.
The Bears had zero DTs in for top-30 visits, which implies they are either in stealth mode at DT, or they aren't interested.
We still need to draft another center
True... I like JPJ but we shall see what Poles does... BEAR DOWN!
Yes but that’s not the most important piece we signed one, along with a few other OL help, and Darnell wright tevin Jenkins and Braxton jones are very young and they continue to develop
Literally picked up 2 centers in free agency. They don’t “need” to draft another one this year.
@@dparis2172 we’ve been having guys who supposedly play center for years. We need a legit center to grow with Caleb. A young Jason Kelce/Jeff Saturday type of situation is something we need and are overlooking if we keep using retreads.
There are multiple centers the bears could get. Whoever they get won’t be starting game one anyways.
I’m super glad that you’re not Poles lol, but I’m anxious to see what he will do with the 9th pick
I think for the Bears it's QB, WR, OL, DE. Caleb is the consensus no.1 pick. With the 9th pick, I'd trade down and pick up a 2nd round pick.
Fuck trading down. Take the best available player. Never have 2 picks in the top 10 again. Why trade down for players that won't contribute when you have the opportunity to draft an impact player. That's just stupid and keeps the team mediocre. Idiots!
Move back just a couple or few spots and grab an Edge and use your 2nd or 3rd on a WR maybe a Brendan Rice or trade up in the 2nd to grab a diffrent WR
Trade down has to include a 2nd round pick. If we don't have enough value, a 4th for 2nd swap is possible to make our return a 2nd. But without a 2nd, a trade down doesn't make sense.
I also like your take on the top 4 available. The 3WRs and J Alt. If none of those are available its a better value to trade
I prefer to take best available at #9 whether it be a receiver or an Edge but I’d snag Alt if available!
Also, the OC likes to have two tight end sets so I wouldn’t be surprised if they dropped it Brock Bowers at nine. It would be a great pic and he’s a big wide receiver Target that would present a lot of mismatches. But since they just signed a tight end with a really good direction in the first round? Probably not my guess is second Round. They go after Latu..
Great show. Thanks for your hard work.
What is your dream Bears draft scenario at #9?
That MHJ drops to 9.
I would be thrilled with any of the receivers, but I think Nabers will be the best one. That said, Nabers comments about the Giants really worry me, that sounds like one very entitled young man lol.
I’m taking a WR, if Allen goes down we’re back to square one, Venus or Tyler would be a big drop off that I think we’d feel, while DE we have serviceable players to use opposite of sweat…
If anything I’d trade next years picks if you see something you like and don’t have capital to move up to get him from your other picks
AJ Green was awesome, but he's not making it to the HOF.
Qb, center, de, 3 tech, wr3, te3 guard. Those are the needs in order of importance.
I’m assuming we are drafting the diva at 1
Draft jpj or graham then draft edge, then pick up a wr3 (rice or Mccafffery is fine) pick up kris Jenkins at dt pick up Wiley at te. Sign a crap ton of udfa o line and positional depth call it a draft.
Walking out with the diva, jpj(center), Robinson at de, rice at wr (for the diva’s comfort level) get Jenkins at dt then Wiley te3 so 6 players is what I want with no other positions drafted if we draft cb,rb,lb,k,p and no center then frp( rp=ryan poles)
It just depends on who is available. If the pick is of value then no trade. If the trade is better value then no pick.
I would choose either tight end or wide receiver. Obviously Brock Bowers and or Malik Nabers or Rome.. my guess is defensive end Verse..
Let's be real .. you gotta have o line if we drafting a young QB why not get a top tackle?
Cause we have 2 young starting Ts already
Because both our tackles are already good
Alt's tape doesn't show an elite Tackle, not by a long shot.
We're the bears. We're historically bad at making choices that make sense.
@@lenmolinari540 His tape shows elite everything but bend lol
I hope we keep the pick. It does you no good to draft 2 guys that will be cut in a few years if you have a chance to get a guy that can make a difference at no. 9
Troy Fautanu…is going to be the pick in a trade down. He can play all the oline positions. Poles values versatility. Week 18 told everyone the Bears biggest weakness. That Bears offensive line got destroyed by the packers.
Trade down a few spots and draft JPJ or Graham Barton from Duke.
Then take your extra pick for trade down for another top interior O-Lineman.
Can’t have too much interior o-line talent and you need to hedge your bets with Jenkins injury history and Nate Davis sub par play and expensive contract.
Keep! We need great players. We have enough good ones.
I know people love the sexy picks of WR’s, but I hope they pick OT (I would be fine with edge);
Braxton Jones is okay but the goal should be better than okay. When have the Bears ever had the best or one of the best OLines in the NFL…
Trade down and grab one of the wide receivers. You want to get the offense set for years to come. Get a D end later in the draft or wait for free agency. Just my thoughts.
Take the pick if there’s a receiver you like… Bears should be picking in the 20s going forward go get a blue chip player
We need an OT? What about RG?
A bunch of the early 1st and 2nd round OTs are RTs. We cannot draft another RT we are set.
Trade up to 5 for alt take that
What I really wish would’ve happened by now is the Vikings trading up for a QB so we have some clarity about how many QBs will go before #9 like the Niners did in 2021. Until they trade up, there is a possibility that JJ is still there at #9 while all the guys we wanted are gone. At that point I think the Vikings will stand pat and hope he’s still there at #11, and Poles will have to get a conversation going with other teams who might want him and will need to jump the Vikings.
Spot on Harrison! I agree with your takes and the order you put them in! Great analysis!! This is a deep WR class so if we miss out on the top 3, trade back! Not too far but if you trade down with say Las Vegas, then you could still land a Murphy or Latu and pick up a 2nd round pick!
We have DJ Moore and Allen at WR....we need to draft a WR, but not at 9. If Odunze is there teams will come calling for him and want to move up. that is where the Bears can make a killing.
I’m fine with Joe Alt being 6’8”. Jonathan Ogden is the height and is one OT of his generation.
It depends on who’s on the board at that time of drafting
Dexter is the starting 3 tech this year with Pickens as the backup. Pickens isn’t a nose. I can see them taking sweat in the 4th considering his stock has slipped as the development future nose
WO 6:51
I think they would love Joe and if they could trade down and get him towards the end of the first round or close to the middle and then absolutely but I really believe they are trying to give Braxton Jones a shot since he is now a veteran and continuing to grow as a player.
Trading down or make the pick depends on who’s available at 9, who’s calling, and who’s offering what. I gotta think if their best offer for moving down is a lowly day 3 pick, Poles will simply stay put and pick whoever he likes best.
Agree with the WR and then Alt, which I think Odunze has a chance to drop to 9. But my guy tells me he won’t.
I am a big fan of Verse and Latu, I think those would be perfect edges and great for the team.
Odunze, Alt then Verse
Would love either Nabers or Alt at #9. If both are gone, we need a trade down (even if Odunze is there)
Don't hate this idea at all... BEAR DOWN!
My dream scenario would be getting Caleb and MHJ, but doubt that will realistically happen, lol. I dont want them to draft down tho. There will be alot of talented players left at #9, grab one of them!
Draft the best player available regardless of position.
Caleb Williams and Marvin Harrison Jr is my ideal situation. We would be hard to defend against and that has been our weakest suit. We can still address defensive linemen, but we have some younger guys that are developing. Adding a veteran edge for a few snaps would be great.
4 picks will be the least picks ever by Chicago, but the best for hope I believe... I think in 19 and 17 they had 5 picks. this is that time of year where the Bears give you that good feeling before the dread comes... BEAR DOWN
I would not trade down if Odunze or Alt are on the board.....if not, go ahead and trade down
T I think they need a center and a 2nd round pick. Drade down take the OR center.
Trade #9 and next years 2nd (or both) to Arizona or LA. Go get Harrison. If you can only get to 5 and Harrison is gone, you can still take Alt. He will be a HoF LT and be around for 12+ years. Jones is good, Alt is GREAT!!
We need to protect Williams better than we protected Fields. If not, Williams will resort to playing his hero ball and he will be ruined like David Carr. Take a WR at 75 and C/DE (best available) at 122. There are still some good DEs and WRs in free agency or will be available for trade after the draft.
I believe if Odunze or Alt is there (he won't be) they take one of them.
The reason I would take a top three receiver over Joe alt is because we have a starting level left tackle already on the team. I’m still not confident we have a starting level wide receiver three that will probably have to play a few games at wide receiver two
I really like Sinnott if they can trade back to get him if possible.
I don’t think we should draft a DT. We drafted three last year. You got to give those guys a chance grow and step up. Dexter looks promising!
He had no choice in year 1.Year 2 was great cuz we got moore.year 3 we got the number 1 pick record was 7-10.We got the 2 first rd picks and they say poles should be fired wow. This year the bears will be a playoff team book it cash it 11 wins.
No, he better hope Williams hits, that means top 5 top guy within a few years, and above average year one. He made the choice of putting it all on him. To be fair, if he passed on him and he becomes a top five guy somewhere else, he gets fired too.
Is it wise to trade down when we are hoping to never be this early in the draft again?
Hard pass on DT. We took two last year, let them sink or swim
Trade pick 9 to Washington for they 2 second and a 3rd round pick then trade one of the second round picks for a 4,5,6 so we can have more draft picks
This is not the draft for D linemen early. Murphy is too small to dominate the NFL
The edge selection is top end in 2025 draft class.
Im not a fan of drafting O-lineman in the first round. Including last year. Paris Johnson went 5th overall, didnt start a game. Played, didn't start. Wright was ok, but gave up 7 sacks at RT, certainly aint playing the blind side. Skoronski was moved to guard. Can get good, serviceable and excellent O-lineman in later rounds. Christian Mahogony could be there R 3. I still want the Edge where ever draft with the 2nd pick.
I have this strange feeling that we’re going to get MHJ … it’s just a gut-feeling.
I hope you’re right
That’s the beauty of gut feelings. You don’t have to be rational.
If Harbaugh doesn't take him at #5 that says a lot considering they really need a wr and he's seen him at OSU for the last 3 seasons
So what do they have to trade up with?
there are rumors that his stocks gone down a little
Trade down and get B.Thomas jr. then with the 2nd we then get JPJ or a other C on the list. 🐻⬇
Im taking Joe Alt over Rome. The league is full of wr that are 3rd, 4th, 5th round picks that excel. The elite tackles are almost exclusively found in the first round
If they can't get Rome or Alt I can see them moving back and pick up more capital for this year's draft
need a young receiver for caleb to have and get use to.
Wr or blue chip player while we still can. No under size project players like Murphy sorry pass. 9 is too high for experiments and if we do pass down 16 is the lowest
Only way they getting a day 2 pick in a trade is if a qb slides to them
On the list of need swap edge and DT and I would agree
Everybody is so obsessed with not having a 2nd round pick
HELLO, WE HAVE 2 TOP TEN PICKS, WITH A TEAM THAT HAS FEW BLUE CHIP TALENT.
2 1ST ROUND PICKS ARE BETTER THAN A 2ND.
And who's giving up a premium pick to get 9? And for who?
Remember DK Metcalf was a 2nd round pick
Congrats on passing 91,000
We have to see how the board falls first. I just hope we don't take Darius Robinson. Not sold on him at all. Any of the other edges I'm fine with.
Depends on whos left at number 9....but if it aint a blue chipper trade for more picks.
In Poles I trust
joe alt wont be there at 9. they compare him to joe thomas. you gotta take him.
Between the three, Verse, Laitu and Chop, my preference would be Chop. Verse is stiff in the hips and Laitu has medical issues. Chop Robinson is prob a better edge at this point in his career.
I would take Laitu myself, Chop is undersized and needs so much coaching.
There is no team in the NFL that would trade down to #9. It's not worth giving up a draft pick in the 2nd or 3rd round to pick 9th. Come on. What are these pundits thinking?
If we don’t come out of the draft with a top edge or receiver of Joe alt we messed up
Alt, Turner and the three receivers could very well be gone. All depends on whether The Vikings (or someone else) moves up to take a QB.
I'll say it again. Poles is walking out of night 1 of the draft with Caleb and marvin
That’s what we all want, but it’s probably not going to happen
The Bears should move up and get MHJ
O-line! Period!
Hoping Atlanta gets nailed for tampering and they should
If Rome is there we take him if not we trade back pick up more picks that’s how I see the 9th pick panning realistically
What does everyone think about this. If the top 3 WR’s are gone at 9 and Alt is there. Why not trade Braxton Jones and get a day 2 or day 3 pick? He’s a young OT in the league that can be a starter on majority of teams. And still can get an extra pick in this years draft. Leave replies and let me know what we think. BEAR DOWN!
How about trading the 9 pick fir Brandon auik?
No, I would rather get a top WR, Edge or OT on a cheap 5 year rookie deal. He’s going to command over $25m a year and that’s to many resources spent on 1 position and there’s only so many balls to go around.
If rome or Nabers is there at 9 they will stick and pick. If they are not they trade down
You only keep if a Joe alt or Malik neighbors is there
If one of top thre wr is take him
Briggs was accurate last year…trade down and Fuaga is coming
Depending on who is still available, I believe he will trade down.
I tend to agree but we shall see what Poles does.... Thanks for watching!
This is really not a secret stop click baiting

How would ESPN know didley about Bears draft!!?
This gets funnier by the day 🤣🤣
"Rome Odunze no matter what"
Trade the #1 pick to get a lot of draft capital. Better than taking Williams at #1.
