I give up a first for MHJ

It would be a mistake for the Bears to trade #9 if one of the top 3 WR (or Alt) are available. And if they could trade up & get MHJ, they’d be getting the 2 best prospects in the draft.

We actually already have 2 second rounders next year. But any trade down would require that in our return we get a 2nd rounder this year.
I've seen Frazier high on a lot of peoples boards, higher than JPJ.
We need WR3 who will in turn, become WR1 in the future. I don’t understand why so many people are overthinking pick 9. I’d love Alt but highly doubt he’ll be there and IMO, WR is the next biggest position of need. If we get one of the big three, they’ll get to grow with Caleb throughout the life of their rookie contract. By then, DJ will be older and not guaranteed to still be with the team and Keenan can be gone as early as the end of 2024-25 season. Most of the the big name receivers if not all will get their extensions mid season or tagged. The trade back non-sense is annoying at this point. We need high end players. We’re not a franchise rebuilding from the ground up and with 10 picks and counting in 2025, we should be able to fill needed positions then.
We need blue chip talent. We have not near enough to compete for a championship
I'd make the trade to get to five if it was for our 1st and next years 2nd and the 4th that JF will give us as a going away present by playing 51% of snaps in Philly (Carolinas, though I'd prefer to give ours which I expect to be later).
Are we talking taking alt and getting a draft pick for Braxton Jones. if so maybe if it's in this year's draft . What would a draft pick for a mid- teir left tackle look like ( Jones ) .
Bears already have 2 #2 picks in ‘25. I don’t even consider it w/o a #2 this year.

Would I trade up? Sure, just give them the Bears second round pick next year, not the Panthers second round pick that we also own.

Schreager and Yates mocks both suck.
I don't think Harrison will be there at 5 because AZ wants him. I don't think he can tank enough for AZ to pass on him.
Therefore, it would be foolish for the Bears to trade to move up to 5 to get him when he may be gone at 4.
It will make more sense to trade down to 2, take him, and then hope that Daniels falls to 5.
But all of this could've been avoided if Warren's petty grudge against Fields wouldn't have forced Poles to trade him for nothing.
We could've paid him 4 million this year and moved him of he didn’t perform under the better team. THEN we could've easily had Harrison, more draft capital (instead of giving up picks), and an edge rusher with the 9th pick.
But instead, we had to be petty and stupid.

Yeah I don’t see Poles trading up for MHJ only because the WR stock is deep! He need to trade down from 9 accumulate more draft capital.
