Xbox One X is slower than the Series S due to lack of SSD. Yes the 4K quality is cool and all, but it’s a much slower machine. Series S is still the better buy
It's a better buy for some people, while the One X is the right console for others. As I said in the video, me and many others prefer 4K and having a disc drive and saving more money rather than getting more performance with the Series S. Slap a SSD into the One X and it's a beefy fella. And yes, the One X can't play every new game but the current selection of new-gen titles for the Xbox is absolutely pathetic.
@@suprxmefire9497 nah, the series s is pure value for money and without the series x they wouldn't be able to compete with the ps5... they shud hv had 3 consoles instead of 2 with the one x
Sorry, but that is wrong, on paper the One X seems more powerful, but in reality it isnt. You cant compare completely different architectures just on Paper. the CPU in the One X is based on modular AMD-Achitechture (FX, Bulldozer) und much much slower than the Ryzen-based CPU in the Series S.
I said this so many times before. 4k with disc drive UltraHD Blu-ray player plays 3 generations of games (4 while streaming with GamePass Ultimate). Also it has a sleek design that allows it to be placed anywhere without drawing attention like the monolithic Series X or PS5 consoles.
I remember back when I was still in middle school I saved up my money from working with my dad for a whole year so that I could finally buy a one x. Walked into the store and left with a one x and red controller. Played bf1 that whole summer. Whata great time.
I just upgraded from my day one xbox one to a series s. Such a smooth transition. Although I will miss playing my old disc games but that's why I kept my xb1 for.
One massive advantage that the One X has over the Series X and S in my eyes is that you can easily replace the internal hard drive and put a ssd as you mentioned while on the Series consoles you can but it has to be only the brand of drives that they use during the manufacturing process and you have to carefully clone and plus if the internal ssd dies then the whole console is an expensive brick that you can't repair yourself at all and have to send Microsoft for a 300$ repair
Oh yes definitely! Also, as someone like myself who has a custom built PC, I can easily swap out the SSD into the One X if I would happen to play on it more often. Then just swap it back to my PC for those periods where I use that more 😃
I added a 2TB SSD to my One X which has the Taco Bell bong startup and it’s nice. With the new systems coming around the end of the year prices are changing and the current Series X I’ve seen some sales around 400. But the new 2TB Series X being 600 you can skip the 2TB expansion card which at the moment is 200 so it’s almost the same price but put it into the 2TB model and boom 4TB that’s a lot of storage. Or stick to the 1TB Series X and get either the cheaper 1TB upgrade or the 2TB. Which puts it at 3TB total. Just depends on your storage needs.
Funny, thats what the repair shop did to my Xbox one x about two years ago when the console gave me problems, Ive been happy with the results that upgrading to a series x just doesn’t make sense in terms of graphics and speed.
They removed the requirement for specific brand hard drives. I put in a generic 1tb SSD. A while back you used to have to copy keys over from your original drive but they even removed that. So now it's as easy as open up, replace drive, download recovery update to USB stick. Stick it in your Xbox one X then startup. A menu will give you an option to install the recovery update. Done this at least 7 times.
A friend of my cousin sold me his mint condition Xbox One X for $50 bucks USD! Needless to say, I wasn't disappointed. I owned a One S before it and it felt so unpowered, I played any newer games on it. You haven't truly experienced that gen until you've played those games enhanced on One X, or the Series X... 🤷
This console is the best console to ever come out. Better than the ps4 pro. And powerful enough compete with the 5 and series x. And honestly it's better than the series s. So I highly recommend if you don't have the series x yet and can't afford it, forget the series s and get the Xbox one x.
or pay 50$ more for the series S (it's 100-150$ second hand on average) and get more fps, a bigger gaming library, and a more future proof console. Performance>graphics.
@miuletzmitzu6641 those are all good aspects but it still has the problem of rendering your physical games unusable so you're basically required to buy all new games unless you've already got a few digital games.
Same here, I'm looking into getting a One X for Gamepass & backwards compatibility mainly. I don't need it for the brand new games as I have my PS5 for that. Good cheap option these days
I also have a ps5 and an Xbox One X. I want a series X but can’t bring myself to upgrade because I already have an ssd indie my One X and it runs most games pretty well now!
I bought my Xbox One X when the Xbox Series X was release in late 2020 on Rakuten (I don't know if you've got that in Sweden). It is a "Project Skorpio" Limited Edition in box for 180€ minus nearly 80€ with some discount point. I've just got a 4K television at that time and I'm from the Xbox One FAT model, the One X was an Amazing upgrade. Every game that I own look so great on it. IMO, the Xbox One X was THE pro model of the previous generenation, compare to the PS4 Pro, it's wasn't just the standard model with a better GPU, it was mind with 4k as the target and they just rethink the hardware. So the quality jump between both xbox one Fat/S and X is so Huge. Now with the Series X as the juggernauts of Xbox hardware and the end of the CrossGen Game, the One X is kind tough to recommand as the main gaming device. BUT for someone who want to discover the Xbox brand, it's a great device !!!
Now that's a solid deal. The upgrade from the original Xbox One must have been huge. And I completely agree with you, the One X was the console to go for if you wanted the most performance. Been using the One X as my primary gaming console for a solid year, and for the games I play it handles it exceptionally well! Yes I now do got a Series X which I bought last month, but I just couldn't resist when I saw it listed for $320 which was a steal imo. But I still feel like I didn't need to upgrade. The One X was perfectly fine for what I was playing on it and also, the One X is still a great entry point to the Xbox ecosystem 😎
I thought the same, in the digital foundry comparison with the series S was leaning more in favor of the series S, both im gpu and cpu, the only drawback was the resolution.
no...... Series s has a more powerful CPU One X has a more powerful GPU this is why the one x game play games at higher resolutions, but the series s can push higher frames
@@TechGuyBeau i said it was more advanced not that it has more memory, the series s supports ray tracing, its clocked higher and its a better architecture, the one x has more teraflops
After getting a Series X honestly the One X became a secondary UHD Blu-Ray player for the living room... But for the almost one year when it was impossible to get a series in Japan after release, I was very happy Game Passing on the One X and only feeling a hole with no Flight Simulator at its release 😅
The xbox one x has a superior design. I love the design and it's still a powerful machine for the price. You don't need a next gen console to play great games!
Had a One S, got a used One X of eBay for £40, £60 for a 1TB SSD. Very happy, don't care about next gen games, not that many anyway and my backlog is huge so One X is more than enough.
Thank you! I would go with the One X if you find one for a fair price. The One X will provide smoother gameplay and you'll still notice the graphics difference even if you don't use a 4K TV 👍
I sold my Xbox series x, i used it to play all my favorites games from 360 and xbox one, sold it for more money and got me a xbox one x , and i enjoying it.
The One X has 12GB RAM, 6 Teraflops 1TB ROM and has native 4K Support. The Series S has 10GB RAM, 4 Teraflops 512 GB (about 200ish GB are used for software), 1440p and NO OPTICAL DRIVE. That makes the One X obviously the winner, or does it? Yes, the One X clearly takes the win in technical stuff, but the Series S has faster loading and is able to play current gen games. However the One X looks better, is capable of playing optical media like Digital Video Disc (DVD), Compact Discs (CD) or Blu-ray. As a person who (likes nostalgia and hates changes) regularly watches movies, has a big movie collection and just likes the Design of the One X in general the One X is definitely my winner. My One X (project Scorpio) may be loud, slow and old but it still has the special place in my heart that the Series S could never earn. ❤
@@Wuunderboy it's not almost the same. the chips are completely different which makes the series x and s more efficient, the series x has more power and it is way louder. About 50 to (when playing graphical masterpieces like RDR) 70dB. It is also extremely slow because of its hard drive. That's just the truth, but nonetheless it's still one of my most beloved consoles I own.
I still rock my Xbox one x gears 5 edition. Been waiting for ms to realease the mid gen consoles. I used it on my 2015 tv as well. I’m not a huge fan about 4k but wow like you said the crisp is there where one can see it.
Still the sexiest console that Microsoft has ever made. They should just let you replace the internal HDD with a SSD and it would still be amazing to play even today.
If you can get one cheap, throw an SSD in it. Otherwise, just buy a series S on sale and get a cheap 1 TB external SSD for backwards compatible games and storage.
I upgraded mine to a 2TB SATA SSD and frankly this console is still very solid in 2024, some games look better on it than on Series S because it has a beefier GPU that packs a bit more grunt than the Series S RDNA GPU which allows for higher graphical settings on some games, other games are more optimized for the Series S in graphics though so it depends.
Yup same with ps4 pro i been playing some cross gen games like far cry 6 and Callisto protocol on it and they play real smooth and fast with ssd installed and I have a series s with hogwarts and dying light 2 still run well at 60 with an alright resolution
Fun fact: with Game Pass Ultimate, the One X is still relevant even in 2025. Of course there're are a few exceptions and draw backs, but we're talking about people who'd rather get Game Pass Ultimate for their One X than a Series S or X
IIRC a lot of 4K One X games used software trick to reach that resolution (Namely, checkerboarding) Also with your recording it looks like having HDR enabled caused the contrast and saturation to just get thrown out of the window
Doesn’t make sense for me to go back owning a series x but i do kinda miss my One X. If you could speed up the One X to even Series S speeds then it’d be amazing.
@@drummer7557 I miss the size of the system and the memories I have bringing it with me on deployment, but the series x is an improvement overall. How are you liking it again?
I got a Series X but my One X still occupies the prime spot at the top of my entertainment center, while the Series X lays on its side in the bottom cabinet. I'll never get rid of my One X. Thinking about doing the SSD upgrade so it's even better as an all-in-One entertainment machine.
@@metaldiceman Mines just sit next to it but I can't go a week without One X getting System error 102 blah blah it's annoying but great when it's functioning right until the weird slow downs happen😅😅😅
Bought one for my parents off marketplace for $100 last year when my Dad upgraded their living room setup to a 77" LG c2 and Samsung Atmos speakers. Thing is mint for a media machine. Holy crap, Don Mattrick was actually right..
I have this and the series S. Xbox one X does HDR, games look better. Series S games look more blurry, but they load faster. I wish these current games coming out would be playable on Xbox one X.
Hey mate! Is there any benefit to get a One X if I already have an Series S? For example Xbox One X Enhanced Games looks better on the one x, than on the series s , there is mafia def edition which only runs in xbox one s mode on the series s and looks blurry etc. What do you think mate, only for the Enhanced Games is it worth a one x ? :D
@@destroyermcw626 I'm happy for you sir, sounds great 👍 😃 I switched from an og Xbox one to series s , it was a big jump but I don't understand why some games can't be played in enhanced mode for example Mafia definitive edition or Mafia 3 cause in my opinion the SS could handle that. 🙂
The Series S has a more advanced CPU however it's GPU is weaker and has less video memory then the GPU in the One X. That's why it can't run Xbox One X enhanced games. It's GPU is too weak. It was never meant to run games at 4k. It was designed as a 1080p-1440p machine. I personally don't think it's worth it to get an Xbox One X at this point just for 4k enhancements. The Xbox One X is no longer being supported. It's an obsolete console. they don't even make them anymore. You are better off just saving up and investing in a Series X so you have a console that's at least future proof. I never upgraded to the One X and just kept gaming on my One S because I knew something better then the One X was coming in a couple years anyway. and with the newer games, A lot of the times the newer games still look and run better on the Series S even if they are running at a lower resolution because support for the One X is totally gone.
It's also the ONLY way to play your X One/ One X games. Otherwise Microsoft makes your Series X basically an "always online" console EVEN if you own the disk. The only games the Series X can play offline are disks marked SPECIFICALLY with the "Seires X" logo.
I bought a black One X some years ago as a spares or repairs lot, had to get the retimer chip for the display out sorted but it was still cheap as chips for what it was, my son now has that one and I bought a mint in box white One X which is used in our front room. I never saw the point of upgrading, I bought a PS5 for stuff I can't get on the Xbox and a Switch for Nintendo's stuff so I feel we've got all bases covered.
I love mine. Played through Doom and Doom Eternal on it. Almost done with Skyrim after hundreds of hours on the slower fps version. Red Dead 2 looks phenomenal in 4K on my tv. And I’ve got an external 4tb drive with loads and loads of downloaded games.
I have the xbox one chunky version but I may eventually try to upgrade to something more modern maybe the series s though I would get the one x but not sure yet.
Sounds good! Here are some insights. Consider whether you prioritise performance or graphics and whether you prefer physical discs or digital downloads. The Xbox One X is more affordable and provides a solid upgrade. However, some modern games are starting to drop support for it, although this hasn't become widespread yet so it will still be plenty of games for it!
My Xbox One X was the last console I bought. I think the console came out on Amazon Germany at 10pm. I snapped it up straight away. It still works today and I still use it. I have lots of 360 games (DVD) and lots of XO titles. The XSX is too expensive for me and the XSS doesn't have a drive. So why should I buy a "last gen" when all the games work on my XOX? I replaced the thermal paste, installed a 1 TB SSD from Samsung and my XOX runs like a dream. And as long as it does that, I'll keep using it.
As a Xbox one X owner. I wasn't really impressed with the current hardware options. I bought a PS5 instead. I had been with Xbox since day one of the original model. And unfortunately Microsoft just lied a little too much and my peripherals didn't go to the next console and i became disenfranchised. I kept my One X upgraded the hdd to a 2tb SSD. I use now mostly for Kodi. The machine os a beast. For sure. But most powerful doesn't Equate to most fun. But i do love it. It has pride of place in my front room with my 360 S Xk3y and PS5.
Not seeing the Xbox One X for “Just over $100”. I don’t trust buying a used one off of eBay. Getting a console that’s been banned isn’t something I want to deal with
I averaged the most common prices I found across several websites, and prices vary by country you know. Additionally, sometimes you simply might have to wait a couple of days for one with a good price to pop up, or do some deep searching. If you're sceptical about buying from eBay, there are plenty of other options, including various websites and potentially pawnshops as I mentioned in the video. But at the end of the day it's your choice :)
@@Odeboo I'm just careful about banned systems. A friend of mine had that situation, and so did his son. I know I can play my older titles, and have a little over 50 original Xbox and 360 titles. That would tide me over until I found more exclusives on the XBO. Still find it funny that in a world with Sony numbering their systems, Microsoft names their third console "One". Plus taking the letters of the Xbox One X. X B O X. They spelled Xbox again. I half expected the fourth system to be named Origin or something.
Got one today for 100€. Was just planning on using it as a UHD BluRay player, but tried out some titles I got with it. I might game on it now and then...
I tried to get one of these without gamepad or games for 70/80€ but people think they still got gold in it, I wanted to collect a few games and see how good this little beast can handle the majority of the games, I think microsoft made a huge mistake for removing this console from the market instead of the standard xbox one or one S, this console should have been released with SSD sata in mind instead of nvme, the design and its smaller makes it very desired peace of hardware to collect.
I bought my xbox one x for 300 dollars in mint condition in 2019 with four controllers and an official xbox two terabyte external harddrive. I upgraded to the xbox series x but still use my xbox one x as a cable box to watch tv, and it's on ALOT. Good thing the cooling is incredible.
I use my series X for Ps2 Emulation and its incredible running these games at 8k resolution is Insane and nobody is talking about it. However, whatever floats your boat were all trying to have fun at the end of the day. Modern games are beautiful, but versatility of the Series X is an experience to enjoy...
It doesn't seem like it. I've been trying that for a while now. I have nothin but 360 games for right now and none of them have worked. And they were all just working in the 360 that I still have, the disc drive in it went bad so now I have these games and can't play them like I thought I was going to when I bought the Xbox one x recently. Sucks.
Definitely wanna pick up a one x soon, I'm sure this packs more power than my series s plus I can play my og xbox, xbox 360 & xbox one library in one console.
I was a PC only gamer, picked up the one x a couple weeks ago and i feel like its the perfect compliment to my pc. To the backwards compatible games in my physical collection that i never got rid off, to the 4k blueray player. My pc is my main current gen gaming machine so didnt see the need to waste $300 or more on the series x or s. Might pick up a ps4 pro to play all the titles i missed out on the ps4 era.
As A Series X owner I couldn't go back to the One X playing in 4k 60 fps with photoreal graphics is too good to go back to 4k 30 with that said the only reason I wouldn't recommend the One X is because most AAA games coming out are next gen only
Of course you can't go back! I mean if you upgraded to an iPhone 15 Pro then why would you go back to an iPhone X, it's the same thing. For those who haven't experienced 120 fps (One X does 60 fps in several games) won't notice the difference until the day they get next-gen. Nevertheless don't forget the price you can get this console for. Also, as of today the only next-gen AAA game that I've wanted to play is the new Forza Motorsport, and it's fine with Could Gaming. But yeah, more and more games are becoming next-gen only. Black Ops 6 is coming to the Xbox One so I'm looking forward to try that on my One X. Oh and photoreal graphics? Except for missing ray tracing I can barely tell the difference from the One X and Series X (only speaking of graphics). I'm playing on a 4K TV and wow, I can't believe you can get your hands on such a powerful console for as low as 50 buckaroos. The textures and game environments are outstanding.
@@Odeboo"can't tell the difference" have you seen forza motorsport in Dolby vision on performance RT mode? Or how about the realistic mountains on Star Wars Jedi Survivor? @@gabrieljohnson1854 Ah thanks mate! I'm going to be honest and say that I haven't, but I have on PC. And then again, the One X can be found really cheeeeeap these days :)
Nice channel and video! I do use both One X scoprpio and Series X for different pourpuses. The catalogue is so large...only one do not cover all One x forever
This is a great system to get if you're a gamer on a budget who just wants to play great Blockbuster Xbox classics like these shown. I would love the fact that it is backwards compatible with classics from the original Xbox and the 360 games both digitally and from the disc!
My close friend sold me one perfect condition. Never owned an Xbox always grew up with Sony always been a console gamer. Since then I like the controller it runs nicely quiet as well plays some cool last gen games well and has a disc slot. It worked for me because of cramped space the utility of the features and the ability to play games that PlayStation didn’t have since I am a console gamer. So far I have tried bully,l4d,halos,cods,Alice madness. I recommended for what’s I provided above hopefully it was short and insightful.
Swapping internal HDD with a S-ATA 3 SSD is a game changer for Xbox One X as it will speed up the whole system. Even better if you also insert a 2.TB Samsung T5/T7 SSD in a USB port. Fun fact: USB HDD is faster than the internal HDD on Series X and is why i have 8.TB in USB on mine. 2 x 4.TB Seagate Xbox Game Drives (White Xbox branded).
@@Odeboo Yep. :) The bottleneck in Xbox One X is the very slow internal 5400 RPM HDD. As i mentioned it loads games faster from USB HDD. With a SSD inside the console it becomes like a Series S. Doesn't matter if it's a 512.GB or 1.TB, because it's mainly for speeding up the system like 10 times or how much faster it becomes. It will boot the console a lot faster too. Place the games on USB HDD or SSD by buying cheap USB drives for PC.
I actually came here because I played Cyberpunk 2077 on my One X and it looks identical if not better than my Series X. I'm baffled, fellas. The One X is no joke. Might actually be the best Xbox available.
Went to the mancave after writing this comment and booted up Cyberpunk on the XSX. The lightning and shadows on XSX are superior, but both Performance Mode & Quality Mode don't compare with the resolution on the Scorpio One X. One X- sharper, higher resolution Series X- better lighting, better shadow, can run at 60fps, more cars, more ppl, more random objects.
Hmm. I got my first 360 about two months back and it took me a month to realize a One X might be a good idea. I got a 360 bundled with Forza Horizon 1 & 2, that were the main reason for me to get it, but after picking up a few game discs I noticed that most of those were available on Xbox One. The consoles are a bit pricier over here though... Plus, I got a late-model 360E which is non-hackable so that limits my use-case options :/ Also, I don't know why, but a LOT of discs I find second-hand for 360 are scratched to hell. Meanwhile, 99% of PS3 discs I find are almost pristine.
Xbox One X and One S consoles have some temperamental disc drives sometimes. My console works fine but just flatout refuses to read a handful of games. No scratches on the discs or anything and the discs work fine on the Xbox One VCR.
I'm a PC Gamer, but even I would rather just play physical games on my Xbox One X. Owning physical games that you can play offline is the primary benefit that console gamers still have. And to make things even better, the legendary Xbox One X can actually play 4K Blu-Ray Discs really well.
It really does. I wish I bought one when they were still available new. Then, I could play my 360 games with my ultimate controller. Not to mention, they were practically giving the physical games away when they were clearing the shelves.
@Odeboo Target, Best Buy, every store that sells physical media had every X Box game all under $10 each here. It's sad to see Physical media go, but those discounts would have been real nice to take advantage of.
I bought xbox one x months after release for 350€ with a game included. We are now in 2024 and still use it on my old sony bravia 1080p tv 43 inches for 500€ that I got couple years before (when I still had xbox 360 slim) I kinda wanted to buy series x on release date but it was sold out everywhere for 2+ years so I decided I will skip to next generation (I dont like buying a console mid/end life cycle. I only like to buy on release date)
I had a 2TB SSD inside my One X and it was great. I did eventually sell it and used the money to get a PS5. Having the Series X and the S and the PS5 and a good PC I still play on the Series X more than any of the others. The One X with an SSD is still a great deal but support its definitely almost gone and Series S games still look really good with more detail even if they are at a lower overall resolution.
Agree the console is still a champ. I have TWO One X:es. One of my sons is using one of them, I myself have a Cyberpunk 2077 edition connected to my bedroom TV.
Been an Xbox fan since the OG Xbox.....having said that, I did not have a great experience with my first Xbox One (non X version). Sold it and went to PS4. Later bought another Xbox One and fell in love with it all over again. Picked up an Xbox Series X and love it! But I've been finding so many games from my absolute favorite gen (Xbox 360) are not backwards compatible, so I've recently hooked the old 360 Slim back up and have been gaming on it almost daily. Haven't touched the X in a few weeks. But back to the Xbox One X......I never got around to picking one up and experiencing it. Now I feel like I need one! I still have a bunch of my XBOne games on my shelf and with Game Pass Ultimate, might be worth the investment.

to whoever says the one x has better specs than the series s, you are technically right but you just cant feel the better performance because its probably capped in most games, while in the series s its not. also if your getting an xbox to play old games then go for the series s not the one x
Installed a 1Tb SSD in my One X a few years ago and till this day it’s made me happy with speeds and performance. Obviously I can’t play some new games only released on the series X BUT nothing has my Attention just yet so it saved me 4 years of nonsense
Still the best, I game on mine daily, and use it for all my blu-rays, and 4K Movies. And an SSD drive. Hey I said I use mine everyday before you did lol. The Series X is an overhyped joke with no new games worth playing. Especially having a PS5 and a Steam Deck anyway. So I need nothing else.
Bought one for $100. Guy didnt tell me before buying but it was thermal throttling in longer game sessions. I had planned on replacing the pads and thermal grease and had a spare 1tb ssd. Fine machine and 4k games look great. Only complaint is im a spoiled pc player. No real reason to own an xbox if you have a capable pc.
Bought the Scorpio Edition on launch day. Loved that console and only sold it to keep up with the latest tech. The form factor and power of that gpu is still pretty badass. Even if the series s is faster, i still love the one x, it was also in a pivotal time for Xbox when things were starting to pick up on the right direction under Phil Spencers leadership.
The reason the Xb1X works better for most people is because the Series S has no disc drive. I can get games for dirt cheap on disc that the S series forces me to buy at a premium price digitally. That makes the Xb1X a super high performance budget console. I have a massive library for pennies on the dollar compared to what I would of had to pay had I got stuck in the disc less Series S ecosystem. Logically what could they offer me to top that? Why would I willingly throw away money for far less?
Fellas, do you own an Xbox One X or could you consider to get one? 🤔
That's wise!
Bought a one x for a hundred quid, updated drive to ssd and upgraded thermal paste and its an absolute beast
Same for the one s
That's right! Glad you enjoy the console :)
I have a ps5 so having a one x is great to have. Such a good system and ganes look great on it
Great to hear! 😃
Lol exactly the same. I sold my One X when I bought my PS5. But regretted it so just bought another One X@@HeyImJWB
According to Digital Foundry who are professionals in the field Series S beats One X in 2024. The gpu in the Series S is more advanced than the One X
I thought the same, in the digital foundry comparison with the series S was leaning more in favor of the series S, both im gpu and cpu, the only drawback was the resolution.
no......
Series s has a more powerful CPU
One X has a more powerful GPU
this is why the one x game play games at higher resolutions, but the series s can push higher frames
@@TechGuyBeau i said it was more advanced not that it has more memory, the series s supports ray tracing, its clocked higher and its a better architecture, the one x has more teraflops

@@SomeGunNerdthe one x isn’t -$50 lol. U can get a series S for $150 literally no more then $200
After getting a Series X honestly the One X became a secondary UHD Blu-Ray player for the living room... I bought a used project scorpio edition. It's in great condition, I swapped out the HDD with and SSD and I'm pretty impressed how well it keeps up.

Had a One S, got a used One X of eBay for £40, £60 for a 1TB SSD. Very happy, don't care about next gen games, not that many anyway and my backlog is huge so One X is more than enough.
Hello, good video... Is it worth upgrading to one X from 360 if I don't have 4k TV or would a One S be a better cheaper opinion?
Thank you! I would go with the One X if you find one for a fair price. The One X will provide smoother gameplay and you'll still notice the graphics difference even if you don't use a 4K TV 👍
Still have my Xbox Scorpio edition.
Love mine. It has such a classic look. And the performance goes without sayijg
Loud and slow? The one X is almost exactly the same as the new consoles.
It's not like there's really a difference like the original xbox vs the 360.
@@Wuunderboy it's not almost the same. the chips are completely different which makes the series x and s more efficient, the series x has more power and it is way louder.

IIRC a lot of 4K One X games used software trick to reach that resolution (Namely, checkerboarding)
Also with your recording it looks like having HDR enabled caused the contrast and saturation to just get thrown out of the window

@@ddddd-x8l Well the GPU is lower than a One X and the Doesn’t have enough storage for the X Enhanced data if that makes sense.

It's also the ONLY way to play your X One/ One X games. Otherwise Microsoft makes your Series X basically an "always online" console EVEN if you own the disk. The only games the Series X can play offline are disks marked SPECIFICALLY with the "Seires X" logo.
It's unbelievable how much that specifically doesn't work without internet anymore :/

Just amazing that you can speed up the One X in different ways :)

One X- sharper, higher resolution
Series X- better lighting, better shadow, can run at 60fps, more cars, more ppl, more random objects.
It’s almost as good as the series X other then load times

Thank you so much, I really appreciate it!
Plus, I got a late-model 360E which is non-hackable so that limits my use-case options :/
Also, I don't know why, but a LOT of discs I find second-hand for 360 are scratched to hell.
I would get this as a travel console over the Series S. That’s just me.
Unless you care about playing physical games, I don't really know why you'd choose this over the Series S as a travel console.

I'm a PC Gamer, but even I would rather just play physical games on my Xbox One X. Owning physical games that you can play offline is the primary benefit that console gamers still have. And to make things even better, the legendary Xbox One X can actually play 4K Blu-Ray Discs really well.
Spot on! Such an amazing package for the price :)
It really does. I wish I bought one when they were still available new. Then, I could play my 360 games with my ultimate controller. Not to mention, they were practically giving the physical games away when they were clearing the shelves.
Oh the clearing days… I missed out on them when GameStop closed here in Sweden.
@Odeboo Target, Best Buy, every store that sells physical media had every X Box game all under $10 each here. It's sad to see Physical media go, but those discounts would have been real nice to take advantage of.
Ah man, it's indeed sad to see the downfall of physical media, especially collector's editions.
I bought xbox one x months after release for 350€ with a game included. We are now in 2024 and still use it on my old sony bravia 1080p tv 43 inches for 500€ that I got couple years before (when I still had xbox 360 slim)
I kinda wanted to buy series x on release date but it was sold out everywhere for 2+ years so I decided I will skip to next generation (I dont like buying a console mid/end life cycle.
1:47 .....you ACTUALLY looked to your left
5:55 this is also the One X I went back and bought this gears edition console is one of the best looking consoles ever made. I keep ir in my man cave up on the deak for decoration but still use it. Eventually these wil lbe out if stock everywhere and I'll be glad I have one
Recently bought one to load all my last-gen games and I'm luvin it.
my favorite design for a console ever. Its heavy af which makes you feel like its packed ot the gils with power and cooling. Its sleak, it looks utliliatrian, gamery but professional. Just an all around great design.
Just got one working from the Goodwill for only $10
I’m gonna buy this one cause I already have a Ps5 slim and a pc and I just want to play gears of war and forza Horizon 1-3
to whoever says the one x has better specs than the series s, you are technically right but you just cant feel the better performance because its probably capped in most games, while in the series s its not. also if your getting an xbox to play old games then go for the series s not the one x
Series s para rendimiento, xbox one x para resolución y series x para el que tiene dinero
Installed a 1Tb SSD in my One X a few years ago and till this day it’s made me happy with speeds and performance. Obviously I can’t play some new games only released on the series X BUT nothing has my Attention just yet so it saved me 4 years of nonsense
Yup same here! The next release that I'm interested in is Black Ops 6, and it's coming to the One X so it'll be interesting to see how it performs 🙂
The main default of the One X : the loadings.
With the quick resume, no more a problem.
30fps / 60 fps, ok I actually don't care.
Picked up a mint one X for $150 to accompany my PS5 Pro. Fantastic console!
