Everyone had their own moves and fighting style, even early goku and end goku fight different from one another. Don't speak on things you don't know about.
Alot of ppl don't seem to know this but during your regular circle/B button combo, you can use you other buttons during combo to use another special move which allows you to chain into super attacks. Ex, tap the attack button once or twice then press the ki blast button into kamehameha or other attacks, then u can follow that up with a support attack. It's not all braindead combos if u look beyond the surface.

To me a complex game is something like umvc or dbfz, cause even xenoverse 2 isn't that complex. Just has a few more options. (I can say this cause I put time in that game) and wat makes that complex is how you respond to a human player as opposed to a AI. Kakarot literally has almost everything xenoverse has minus heavy combos and a few combo strings. Also cant charge hits or have counter moves. But in time I feel like this game will have stuff like that. All in all its about as deep as jump force which I still found fun in. 😁
Only a few gripes about the story telling of this game. Some of these fights shouldn’t be as challenging as they were considered how they went down in the series. Goku versus Nappa shouldn’t have been a full fight, it should’ve been like the show where he gets dropped in one hit, just like the Recoome fight on Namek. I feel like it takes a lot away from Goku’s presumed power if they seem to put up a decent fight against him. They did it correctly when Gohan goes level 2 and drops all of the juniors in one hit. Also, this would’ve benefited soooo much by having an option to have the Faulkner soundtrack.
I do wish the combat was a little more innovative but I will say it actually has grown on me. I know it's a lot of button mashing but since you have to dodge a lot of ki attacks and keep moving it's not as simple as that. Tbh I don't think it would need much more complexity.

So they are planetary level and it would add a new element to battle that is actually in the show... Almost everytime an enemy fires towards earth goku or someone stops it. Maybe make that an optional setting in an update.

Every game the Tenkaichi series, on main consoles, have had the same exact combat system with the exception of FighterZ which actually tried to be something different and is better for it.
Oh ye btw as a player of 3 years who beat the game in hard without being hit once the best combo is to melee and when you're about to do the final hit just dash and continue no powers no nothing just do that against any boss and when they are about to attack just step back and go again
Just finished watching DBS an feeling that itch to play a DBZ game. Last one I played was BT3. An my question is this. Is the combat in this game similar to BT3? I couldn't get a read for it from the video.

The enemy turning red and just eating moves is the dumbest thing and whenever fighting more than one enemy you get interrupted constantly even by small ki attacks
I dont have a problem with the 1v1 fights. Its when you try and fight 3 difficulty enemies at once where the game starts to take a turn for the worse. As much as I like reliving the WoW WotLK PvP experience with being _stun-locked_ to death, no thanks! Lol
Dude seriously though im good with maybe like 2 enemies but when its like 3 and theyre hitting you from the right, left, and back of you it gets hard(at first) once you get used to the button layout/combo it gets a little easier but still when you're up against 3 it def feels like the game is fucking you over.
This is what I want to know because that game was badass. Survival mode and replaying the story mode with special skills already unlocked made awesome.
I haven't played it yet, but what I've seen looks amazing. The combats looks fantastic, story/cutscenes seem good (or good enough since it's a retelling of a story we should be very familiar with already), and... that's just about it. I just hope this comes to some Nintendo console in the future so I can play it.

the combat is literally the Storm series, its made by the same developers, and you can very easily tell once you start to get the hang of things. anyone who says this is the best dbz game, hasnt played Budokai 3 or Infinite world(or doesnt know how to use the combo/cancelling system in those games) or just doesnt have good taste in dbz games. because the combat here is kiddy easy and not very fun. but again, this is developed by CC2. so its expected.

I think you use the meteor smash(not sure of the name) to trigger it, I did it a couple of times fighting Nappa though it was sending him through a couple of pillars.
With the reference from this video, u activate the rage and do the circle button combo(ps4or5) and finish it I'm guessing. I only can do it randomly. Other websites say that's how u do it as well..
what do you expect? for a dragon ball game story to be about the journey of Naruto Uzumaki. the game is called Kakarot. and if it wasnt specifically called Kakarot, its dbz, its the story of goku in the first place. Not saying they shouldnt try something new, make a whole new story, or do what Xenoverse has been trying to do and failing terribly, and create like an alternate timeline game. but a dbz game having the dbz story isnt something odd.
Nah. The fighting is was different than Xenoverse. You can upgrade your combat/combo's. Plus yiu can teleport as many times as you want without losing ki. No Dragon Ball Z game is like that lol. You feel so powerful in this game it feels different than other DBZ games

Me: uses any super after combo finisher. O-X-super, O-square-super, O-triangle-super.
I think they mean combo out of supers. Like cancel a super halfway through, and continue combos. You can if you do that power up thing

Its a mix of jumpforce budokai tenkaichi 3 and xenoverse. For me it’s the best dbz game ever not only combat wise , music , sounds and graphics

You need to activate the rage meter then do a meteor attack only then will you trigger this scene

This game was a disappointment...so pretty but not enough skill to be fun

Once Bandai Namco adds an extreme mode, I will get the game. No one is paying $60 for an easy game.
