Dragon ball may be his most iconic work in also happy to see sandland being recognized now. I hope in the near future we see more of his forgotten projects being adapted to movies or games.

I will never forget being 5 years old not really knowing the plot of what db was and my uncle just putting it on while he was gaming. i had a general idea of waht was going on but any real plot probly diddnt make it to my head. but even without it, the whole ssj3 scene ran and i was in sheer awe on what it made me feel, that this youtube comment quite honestly doesnt have the word count to full tell the whole story. But to this day whenever i imagine stregnth the main image that comes to my mind is the ssj3 transformation.
That's such a cool story!! I love that ssj3 became your strengtg symbol, ssj3 made me decide when I was younger that I'd let my hair grow long, I'm 25 and my hair goes to my hip, whenever I see it it makes me.want to train just to feel as basass as that transformation

How strange... I started to re-read the mangas a week ago for the first time in 3 years and even watched an interview of Toriyama Sensei last friday 8th of march, and played Kakarot today for the first time since 2022...
It's almost as if I was touched in a subcouncious way by his aura while it was leaving this world, and that made me re-explore his work this last week... 😢
I'm 41 and grew up with DB. I discovered it when I was 6-7 years old when the French dubbed anime started to air in France through Le Club Dorothée in the late 1980's. (I'm from Belgium)

Akira Toriyama was a legend who always believed that limits could be met, and limits could be broken. A man who believed in peace and love between all and one who inspired so many people, even to this day. He was a man who loved and a man who prospered. A man of true honor and a man who truly broke past the limits, and went even further beyond. His passing is truly a sad moment in the lives of Dragon Ball fans and the community as a whole, but all we can do is thank him and honor him for his work over the years. The physical embodiment of peace, and a true legend. That is the only way we can describe him. Rest in peace, Akira Toriyama.

I was sitting on discord with friends playing world war z. Opened my phone and there was Rhymestyle's community post. Was just an hour after it hit news outlets. I immediately fact checked and there were countless articles. And we just sorta sat there. Db is one of my biggest inspirations. Just ever.

To think he passed away on March first and they kept it a secret for a week is crazy
I just learned about this when I found out Toriyama passed away. Companies that were affiliated with the person usually wait a little bit before they announce the news. The biggest example I found immediately was of MF Doom when he passed. It took two months for his death to be announced (October - December 2020)
I cant believe. He was gone and DB offical was just ignoring it, posting stuff about DB games and profile pictures when the author of the whole franchise had been dead. Wow
@@jantheking7028 most likely the family requested for them to keep it a secret, even after the announcement they said it was a small service with family and close friends and they didn't want to give interviews so knowing how massive Dragon Ball is across the world and how some people can be a little extreme about fandom they most likely wanted to avoid the death of a loved one to be turned into a media circus
