3 Easy Self Tests For A Rotator Cuff Tear

  • There's three easy self-tests for rotator cuff tendon tears. One is if you have pain when coming up somewhere in about this range, it could even hurt all the way up. Then you probably have a rotator cuff tear. Could be other things. But two, if you reach behind your back this way and it starts to hurt there, too. That's more evidence that you have a rotator cuff problem.
    And three, if you just go and poke the edges of that, both, there is the acromion right off the edge of the acromion. This part of the bone of the shoulder blade is where the rotator cuff tendons. So on your body, if you just get on to your shoulder, there's my acromion that can feel the bony edge and maybe just fall a little far away from it, just described below it.
    And you poke there all around the edges of it. And then you compare that with your other side. If the side that you have the tear on is very tender and there's usually one spot, maybe a few spots that are very tender that's consistent with a rotator cuff tear.

    THIS GUY HEALED ME FREE ON YOU TUBE!! I had a bad rotator cuff tear and the doctor wanted to operate. I wanted to try non evasive therapy first however money is short and I can’t afford insurance. I found this guy and his exercises not only gave me immediate relief to get through my work day as a baggage handler but in a few short months I regained complete range of motion with little to no pain at all!

      Hi Cathy, we are so sorry you are dealing with shoulder pain! If you're interested we have a rotator cuff tear playlist you might find helpful. You can access it here:
      "Rotator Cuff Tear Help"
      ua-cam.com/play/PLJVIPiFvv1mbQ_-1YFfEePnrcxfwwf9_k.html
      Start with one or two exercises, beginning with the smallest range of motion and the lowest intensity. As you feel stronger, you can gradually increase both the range of motion and intensity. It’s best to do these exercises every day throughout the day. Aim to tire out the muscle without losing form or control. Consistency is key. Always avoid working through pain; soreness and mild discomfort are normal, but pain is not.
      We'd love to hear how you are doing as you progress.🙌 Please take care!

    The arm that does the poking hurts, but when it’s poked it doesn’t hurt 😂😂😂 I’m 99% it’s a rotator cuff issue but all the tests I do I pass easily with no pain just tightness. When I poke it, it’s feel amazing though 😂

Contrary to popular belief, surgery isn't always required. With that being said, we aren't able to give you specific advice as we don't know the entirety of your diagnosis.

    I have all of these problems. Ive had it for a while and struggling to drop my arm down naturally some times without pain. I went to a 'specialised physio' today and he said he thinks it is my bicep tendon but im showing no signs at all from those symptoms? Im waiting for a consultation with my private health care gp as I've been fobbed off before on the NHS for it to turn out to something more serious!

      @epmanualphysicaltherapy  11 місяців тому

      Hi ItsJustKimber, We're sorry to hear about the struggles you're facing with your arm and the challenges you've encountered while seeking a diagnosis! It's wise to explore different opinions, especially if you're not experiencing relief from the recommended treatments. Your health and well-being are important, and seeking a consultation with your private healthcare GP is a proactive step. Remember that finding the right diagnosis and treatment plan can take time, but we hope you'll eventually get the answers you need for effective relief.🙌

      Hey Brandon! The Rotator Cuff Tear Recovery Program has officially launched check it out here:
      The Rotator Cuff Tear Recovery Program is a comprehensive program designed to get your shoulder pain under control to allow the rotator cuff tendons to heal. Then it guides you to correct the underlying root muscle imbalances so that you can fix the source of the problem (rather than just treat the symptoms) and get long-term relief from shoulder pain. This program works even if you've had rotator cuff surgery in the past but continue to have rotator cuff problems.
