Seeing other people affected speak out, I wanted to thank you for being so thorough in your review of the timeline. Everyone affected has moved on with their lives for the better, myself included. I do want to elaborate on some aspects of things on my end. As you mentioned, I moved in with Yaki because I did not want a good friend to lose her home. Initially moving in with her was cheaper for me, but that was not my main factor in doing so, and quickly did not become the case due to the expenses I was expected to front as explained later. Obviously I had no idea about the abuse Hazel went through prior. The version of the story she told us was basically that Hazel was the irresponsible one and didn't help around the house, but learning about how Hazel was abused as they were, I can only imagine what Hazel was going through and why they had to escape from Yaki like they did, especially considering my circumstances. In regards to the noise situation, as you said, the house had thin walls and our rooms were across from each other. I am a loud person and do take some fault for that, but she completely glosses over that I could in fact ALSO hear her on her own streams from my room all the time too. I feel as though this just something you have to accept if you are living in a house with multiple people who are all active at around the same time, but I digress. As a result, I tried to avoid doing any audible activities at all while she was streaming, but even then, it was not enough for her as even trying to keep my voice to a bare minimum volume in casual calls with friends would have her banging on my door/wall and sending me aggressive messages. Also I'd like to elaborate more on the car situation. Prior to me moving in, Yaki's car was completely inoperable and needed big repairs. For the entire 6-7 months I lived there, she claimed she had no money to fix her car (which ended up not being true since Nathan sent her all that money specifically to fix it) and would borrow mine, but made me pay the gas on the car even though she drove way more than I did. When I told her I was moving out in my last month living there, only then did she actually attempt to get the car situation resolved and just outright bought a new one. There is obviously much more I can talk about (not that I really want to because I wanna be done with this already) but I did wanna just build on some points you discussed.
any particular reason you (and op) did not mention that you were making noise also while yaki was sleeping and during her streaming which she repeatedly asked you not to do for the entire 6+ months you were living with her? which need i remind you this - along with nathan's donations - is how she made her income to be able to cover expenses such as being the main person to fill up the gas in your car?
You know how badly she affected people when most of the people mentioned in the video took the time to comment on this video in less than 24 hours of it coming out.
That video where Alpharad awards her with the "Stupidest Motherf*er" Award seems to continue to age like wine, despite him having cut that bit from the vid.
Also really makes me ponder what could have been had she been not caught and then someone even more popular than Alpharad would have come along. Would she had just backstabbed him and slander him like everyone else if it meant she could rise up in the social ladder and orbit around an even more popular youtube? My guess is that yes. It's really clear that becoming friends with him had became a milestone for her career and it was something she utilized constantly as a tool to get her way and to threaten others. It's awful to see how much she saw people as disposable; Everything to make her life confier and for HER career to rise up above everybody else, and getting mad whenever someone wouldn't play along or had an issue with her attitude. It's why Alpha coming out and speaking about it was truly the final strike; Making every bridge she burn to get to the position she had become completely useless. A leech to the very end.
Kind of a shame he cut that out considering that was far nicer than he needed to be after going through all those docs. Regardless I’m glad he showed his support to the victims and cut contact with her.

Side note as someone who's friends with artist who do Vtuber commissions. A model like Yaki's would almost certainly be more in the range of $1500-2000 USD, maybe more. It's an incredibly laborious process to make these models, because they have to be constructed in such a way that each individual part is able to move as intended. The reason it costs as much as it does is not only because of the amount of labour that goes into it, but how much skill the artists and riggers require to put it together in a pleasing way.
I scrolled through the comments looking for this. $400-$500 is insanely cheap fir a vtuber model. Mine cost me $1200 for the art and another $1700 for the rigging. It's not uncommon for big vtubers to pay over $2000 for model art, and popular riggers like BrianTsuii and Dya Rikku cost around $5000.
Depends. Usually you have to commission an artist first, then they put you on their list and let you know when they will start working on it. Sometimes that's a couple weeks to several months out. Then, once they get started, generally it takes 2 weeks to a month. Then you have to get it rigged. Same process, find a rigger, and then they start when they can. Usually rigging is a longer process than the art, but usually 2-3 weeks.
Seems similar to the costs involved in making a fursuit lol. Lot of the same design effort but without the physical work. Not surprised they hit 3 figures in that case since suits hit 3-7k on the regular.

I am Tommie from this video. I’ve made peace with losing one of my closest friends and her true colors being revealed. 11 docs were the only the ones who publicly came out but being in her close circle for a good majority of COVID, I can retrospectively confirm there are many others who experienced her torment/abuse. My mistake was just chalking off her brash nature as banter but when the truth came out, I couldn’t see it that way anymore. My experiences relative to the others in here are nowhere near as poor but it should serve as a reminder to not let people, especially your friends, get away with abuse. Part of me wishes she finds help or becomes better but I don’t want anything to do with her. Yaki or rather Mary if you’re reading this, I hope you find a good and honest path in life. Make things right if not for you, for the people you hurt.
It's not just your mistake tommie, many of us brushed it off as her being loud and brash. It IS how she is... but the lack of her accountability for where it went out of hand genuinely hurts. All you did was try to be a truly supportive & meaningful friend. We brushed off a lot of interactions as Yaki just being their bold & brash self seeing it go far beyond just a quirky attitude, stings. Last year when I was particularly lonely I was joining discord servers including hers and something I noticed IMMEDIATELY was the weird push for people to sub to her Twitch to the point of a mod essentially harassing me to use my prime sub on her going as far as trying to "help me figure of my account info" since I couldn't remember it. It was nearly a daily occurrence for mods/members to harass the server "reminding" people to sub to her. SPECIFICALLY the mod named "Benn" regularly told people they weren't real or as big of fans of Yaki bc they "aren't even subbed." People would say they simply don't have the money and their response would be "well you can give your Twitch Prime sub." You can search "prime" in the #chit-chat and you will see many examples (especially from Benn) The whole server just felt like an advertisement for money instead of a community.
It’s weird being told I was Yaki’s ride or die best friend before she became big on Twitter and then to see my whole ass other friends in this video talk about being shat on behind their backs. I am just sitting here going “hey this happened to me!” Good video.
Reminds me of my sister. Spent her entire life manipulating and back stabbing her way to climb the social ladder, only to get exposed once and it opened the flood gates of almost all of her friends exposing her. Now she had to flee to another country since she has "nothing more" to gain in her homeland.

Meanwhile cue me coming home after a long day at work, tired, raining. My dog being even more hyper and excitable then usual. Go for a walk. He's been a total little shit but we finish the walk. We get home. I notice when I take off his harness his breath smells like metal (common in puppies during teething apparently) and he is being demanding and borking. I sit down with him and calm him down until he is ready to go to bed. As I'm getting ready for bed an hr later I hear him whining. I go to check on him. He's having a nightmare of who knows what (during the walk where he was a little shit he had a major freak out about an electric scooter just standing there...menacingly!). So I snuggled him and gently pet him until we both fall asleep on the floor. Because despite the difficulties my little nightmare can be I still love him and am definitely the annoying pet parent who overly worried about their pet.

I'm someone who has been in Fadel's community since almost the very beginning, so that's how I became acquainted and eventually friends with Mary over the past few years leading up to that day. I spent a good chunk of my time everyday helping her by moderating her streams and discord whenever I wasn't at work because I just wanted to support her and see her be able to do what she loved and my mindset back then was if someone I knew was struggling I wanted to be there for them and make sure they would be ok because I cared about them, but I was just a fool for not seeing what was happening and now whenever I see her name I just feel a pit in my stomach because I remember that final DM she sent me. Though it still hurts to see how much damage she has caused to people, I heavily appreciate you taking the time to share everyone's stories because that's what matters the most. Anyone who is abusing others should ALWAYS be held accountable for their actions even if they are a friend of yours.
Hey just wondering is there any messages from her to any of those people harassing them or threatening them? Because all anyone shows is some messages they sent to another person saying she did those things, but never any of her saying them. With the internet so wide spread its easy for people to make horrible claims and for others to jump on, and the more people who do the easier it is to believe it.

I knew a girl in high-school that made me believe my ex wanted nothing to do with me and she told her that i wanted nothing to do with her. Neither of us said those things, and I learned later on that the little snake had a crush on me. Different from this situation, but there's a point to be made, if a girl that has no problem with either of the people she's talking to is willing to ruin those two's relationship because she LIKES one of them, it makes this situation all the more reasonable.

Hate seeing girls in their 20's preserve this schoolgirl ruthless remorseless attitude. I think the most perplexing thing about the whole situation is that she was genuinely entertaining and didnt need to lie and manipulate to further her career. Realistically none of the backstabbing, lying, or two faced behavior contributed to getting where she did, she got there on her own merits. I knew someone like that. She ruined my life and caused such horrible trauma I'm spending all my money on extra therapy and extra psychiatrist appointments to recover from a bad psychotic episode, start to heal so I don't have near daily trauma episodes and adjust my bipolar meds due to it relapsing for the first time in 2 years. She succeeded in tormenting me over a period of 2 years and quietly turn all of my friends against me. All of them except our mutual best friend. She didn't stop there though. She couldn't accept that he rejected her romantically after everything she's done to hurt us and even though he doesn't want their friendship to end, she can't handle things not going her way and has damaged their friendship. She may have ruined me, but she's ruined her chances of a relationship with him and has strengthened my friendship with him instead of destroying it. Her own behaviour was her undoing.

I decided not to go public with any of my experiences for privacy reasons, but I can attest to the fact she ruined and manipulated my entire friend group, and traumatized someone I essentially grew up with. I'm grateful her ability to ever regain a platform has been ripped away from her, because it makes up for the fact she ripped away my self-confidence for over a year. Mary, if you're seeing this, please get help, and stop staying in your mod's house in North Carolina.

I’m no one of significance but I was for a time a mutual of Yaki. Like other friends I was a victim of her gossip, nothing as awful or horrid as some of my friends or those in this video. In some way this video’s release has been a form of closure for a lot of my friends and even myself, so I must thank you for that. As someone who watches Gamescage's streams semi-regularly, I can tell you that this situation was shocking and baffling for me and many others. During 2021, and most of 2022, Yaki frequently showed up to his streams to talk and chill while he was playing something. There were plenty of other people during that time who would've told you that they seemed like great friends with the way they interacted with each other. Eventually, she slowly stopped showing up in his streams all together by 2023. I thought that was kind of weird, but I also thought it was probably because she started streaming full-time, which gave her less time to stop by. Of course, after the document came out, the reason she stopped showing up became painfully obvious to everyone. I wish everyone affected by Yaki nothing but the best, and I hope they have had time to properly heal after the countless lies and abuse Yaki put them through. Nobody deserves to go through that kind of stuff, especially from someone who they thought was their friend.
I know NOTHING about this drama or community but damn this was an insanely well made video. Great job explaining everything and I hope everyone who was harmed by Yaki have found some form of peace from it all.

As someone who only discovered Yaki about a month before all this started, it felt kinda shitty to see all this come out. Yaki was one of the few streamers I actually enjoyed, she seemed to have a similar sense of humor to me. So when I went on Twitter one morning to see the shitstorm starting up, I didn't want to believe it. At first it was a strikingly similar situation to what happened with Zaion, another vtuber I enjoyed, so initially I was on Yaki's side. But as the evidence piled up against her I kinda just had to accept that she wasn't who I thought she was. I don't know where I was going with this, just wanted to give voice to the "outside looking in" perspective.

The funny thing about this situation is I’m someone who follows a lot but doesn’t interact with people much on Twitter. But I saw the rise and fall of Yaki. She used to kind of be emdedded in niche anime twitter with some accounts I followed in the thousands follower mark. I’ll never forget during this time she offered to sell feet pics for BLM, and got clowned a bit. I took it as weird but shrugged it off as good intent. She then quickly kind of rose up in communities and started interacting with Fadel, Ultima, etc. Around the time she became Garchomp girl and started her own content. Then lo and behold I watch Alpharad and she starts showing up in his videos. And well you get to what happened here. I think the funniest thing to come out of this is a few weeks before the docs came out she won the “Stupid Bitch” award at some Alpharad friend awards shows. So that aged well.

I wasn’t really that aware of Yaki, the only connection I had with her was through my best friend being mutuals with her. They also didn’t really interact. It is just so unbelievably vile to ruin a relationship the way she has on top of the mistreatment for all the victims involved. Thank you for covering the various actions she did, I hope those who are affected feel the closure this has given even me, an acquaintance of an acquaintance.
I never even expected this entire saga to be documented into a single video at all and at the same time I’m really happy. It’s funny seeing FrostyKlondike on here and of the times I lurked and rarely ever interacted, they were always the sweetest person in the server and always being supportive. I never even knew they got banned at all until the whole thing went down and it’s just sad to hear that Yaki did them so dirty.

Kind of makes me sad that Yaki just managed to leave without a trace after all her shit was exposed to the world. Dodging any real justice that should have been dealt to her for everything she did to everyone. I know Yaki already lost pretty much all of her status and credibility online, but a part of me just knows she didn’t chance her behaviour after all of this. She just know she had to bail out. Yaki's probably moved on to continue her despicable behavior wherever she currently is now. And that thought really pisses me off. Yaki just got to run away.
Knew her for nearly a decade originating from the Hypixel community in 2013-2015ish, nothing short of manipulative behavior and trying to be the center of attention anywhere she went reconciled with her multiple times throughout the years and she always felt the need for me to "gain her trust", would always flake on my friends in our group, would act very plastic/fake, etc. Friendship ended like the 4th time in maybe 10 years from her trying to gaslight me which turned into other friends of ours, then shit hit the fan and she got hard doc'd for- you guessed it, being manipulative and spreading lies about others.. ya Haven't even watched the video (yet) but I can assure you whatever it consists of isn't even scratching the surface of half the shit shes done to fuck people over, it goes that deep. I was someone that was willing to post twitch clips in her discord, and I wanted to wait to see what her response was when the constant Google docs were being tweeted. When it all broiled down to her just going "nuh uh". On top of there being more and more google docs that talked about her being awful, I deleted every clip that I made of her and even had to re-edit a video that I made that had her vtuber face in it as a joke. I do not see her coming back anytime at all.

Attempting suicide and then, immediately after that extreme low in your life, still having to hide your true feelings and reality for the sake PROTECTING yourself from MORE ABUSE has to be the most damaging thing in the world, that's trauma on top of trauma- being abused to the point you feel death is the only escape from it, and then coming back to the same place for not only nothing to have changed, but become even WORSE simply because you tried to escape... that's awful. Masking your true feelings for protection is a type of, i guess you could call it extreme people pleasing, that I'd imagine isn't something you can easily unlearn, especially if the reason for said people pleasing is not just to protect others, but yourself.

This isn’t the first internet content creator that was horrifically unemployed and mooched off their friends. Every time I ask, “why didn’t you apply to McDonald’s?” It seems like these people think working a normal job is beneath them. Personally if I had to beg my editor to move in with me to help with some of my expenses, I’d feel guilty and I’d be hustling my butt off. But I suppose that’s a sign I’m not a huge prick like this girl.

Seeing other people affected speak out, I wanted to thank you for being so thorough in your review of the timeline. Everyone affected has moved on with their lives for the better, myself included. I do want to elaborate on some aspects of things on my end.
As you mentioned, I moved in with Yaki because I did not want a good friend to lose her home. Initially moving in with her was cheaper for me, but that was not my main factor in doing so, and quickly did not become the case due to the expenses I was expected to front as explained later. Obviously I had no idea about the abuse Hazel went through prior. The version of the story she told us was basically that Hazel was the irresponsible one and didn't help around the house, but learning about how Hazel was abused as they were, I can only imagine what Hazel was going through and why they had to escape from Yaki like they did, especially considering my circumstances.
In regards to the noise situation, as you said, the house had thin walls and our rooms were across from each other. I am a loud person and do take some fault for that, but she completely glosses over that I could in fact ALSO hear her on her own streams from my room all the time too. I feel as though this just something you have to accept if you are living in a house with multiple people who are all active at around the same time, but I digress. As a result, I tried to avoid doing any audible activities at all while she was streaming, but even then, it was not enough for her as even trying to keep my voice to a bare minimum volume in casual calls with friends would have her banging on my door/wall and sending me aggressive messages.
Also I'd like to elaborate more on the car situation. Prior to me moving in, Yaki's car was completely inoperable and needed big repairs. For the entire 6-7 months I lived there, she claimed she had no money to fix her car (which ended up not being true since Nathan sent her all that money specifically to fix it) and would borrow mine, but made me pay the gas on the car even though she drove way more than I did. When I told her I was moving out in my last month living there, only then did she actually attempt to get the car situation resolved and just outright bought a new one.
There is obviously much more I can talk about (not that I really want to because I wanna be done with this already) but I did wanna just build on some points you discussed.

Side note as someone who's friends with artist who do Vtuber commissions. A model like Yaki's would almost certainly be more in the range of $1500-2000 USD, maybe more. It's an incredibly laborious process to make these models, because they have to be constructed in such a way that each individual part is able to move as intended. The reason it costs as much as it does is not only because of the amount of labour that goes into it, but how much skill the artists and riggers require to put it together in a pleasing way.
I scrolled through the comments looking for this. $400-$500 is insanely cheap fir a vtuber model. Mine cost me $1200 for the art and another $1700 for the rigging. It's not uncommon for big vtubers to pay over $2000 for model art, and popular riggers like BrianTsuii and Dya Rikku cost around $5000.
How long does it take to make one ?
Depends. Usually you have to commission an artist first, then they put you on their list and let you know when they will start working on it. Sometimes that's a couple weeks to several months out. Then, once they get started, generally it takes 2 weeks to a month. Then you have to get it rigged. Same process, find a rigger, and then they start when they can. Usually rigging is a longer process than the art, but usually 2-3 weeks.

I am Tommie from this video. I’ve made peace with losing one of my closest friends and her true colors being revealed. 11 docs were the only the ones who publicly came out but being in her close circle for a good majority of COVID, I can retrospectively confirm there are many others who experienced her torment/abuse. My mistake was just chalking off her brash nature as banter but when the truth came out, I couldn’t see it that way anymore. My experiences relative to the others in here are nowhere near as poor but it should serve as a reminder to not let people, especially your friends, get away with abuse. Part of me wishes she finds help or becomes better but I don’t want anything to do with her. Yaki or rather Mary if you’re reading this, I hope you find a good and honest path in life. Make things right if not for you, for the people you hurt.
It's not just your mistake tommie, many of us brushed it off as her being loud and brash. It IS how she is... but the lack of her accountability for where it went out of hand genuinely hurts. All you did was try to be a truly supportive & meaningful friend.

Last year when I was particularly lonely I was joining discord servers including hers and something I noticed IMMEDIATELY was the weird push for people to sub to her Twitch to the point of a mod essentially harassing me to use my prime sub on her going as far as trying to "help me figure of my account info" since I couldn't remember it. It was nearly a daily occurrence for mods/members to harass the server "reminding" people to sub to her. SPECIFICALLY the mod named "Benn" regularly told people they weren't real or as big of fans of Yaki bc they "aren't even subbed." People would say they simply don't have the money and their response would be "well you can give your Twitch Prime sub." You can search "prime" in the #chit-chat and you will see many examples (especially from Benn)
The whole server just felt like an advertisement for money instead of a community.

Meanwhile cue me coming home after a long day at work, tired, raining. My dog being even more hyper and excitable then usual. Go for a walk. He's been a total little shit but we finish the walk. We get home. I notice when I take off his harness his breath smells like metal (common in puppies during teething apparently) and he is being demanding and borking. I sit down with him and calm him down until he is ready to go to bed. As I'm getting ready for bed an hr later I hear him whining. I go to check on him. He's having a nightmare of who knows what (during the walk where he was a little shit he had a major freak out about an electric scooter just standing there...menacingly!). I'm someone who has been in Fadel's community since almost the very beginning, so that's how I became acquainted and eventually friends with Mary over the past few years leading up to that day. I spent a good chunk of my time everyday helping her by moderating her streams and discord whenever I wasn't at work because I just wanted to support her and see her be able to do what she loved and my mindset back then was if someone I knew was struggling I wanted to be there for them and make sure they would be ok because I cared about them, but I was just a fool for not seeing what was happening and now whenever I see her name I just feel a pit in my stomach because I remember that final DM she sent me.
Though it still hurts to see how much damage she has caused to people, I heavily appreciate you taking the time to share everyone's stories because that's what matters the most. Anyone who is abusing others should ALWAYS be held accountable for their actions even if they are a friend of yours.

Unlike, for example, the Awesome document which was a similar thing where multiple people wrote a bunch of stories, accusations and bad experiences into a big document to "expose" a small handful of "problematic" people, there's far fewer contradictions or obvious exaggerations which leads more credence to a majority of the claims being true than not.

She ruined my life and caused such horrible trauma I'm spending all my money on extra therapy and extra psychiatrist appointments to recover from a bad psychotic episode, start to heal so I don't have near daily trauma episodes and adjust my bipolar meds due to it relapsing for the first time in 2 years.
She succeeded in tormenting me over a period of 2 years and quietly turn all of my friends against me. All of them except our mutual best friend.

Still crazy for me to think that I first saw her in Alpharad's video about speedrunning Pokemon with 5 other people including her, enjoying her presence in it, only to find out like a couple or so months later that she turned out to be a terrible person.
I’m no one of significance but I was for a time a mutual of Yaki. Like other friends I was a victim of her gossip, nothing as awful or horrid as some of my friends or those in this video. As someone who watches Gamescage's streams semi-regularly, I can tell you that this situation was shocking and baffling for me and many others. During 2021, and most of 2022, Yaki frequently showed up to his streams to talk and chill while he was playing something. There were plenty of other people during that time who would've told you that they seemed like great friends with the way they interacted with each other. Eventually, she slowly stopped showing up in his streams all together by 2023. I thought that was kind of weird, but I also thought it was probably because she started streaming full-time, which gave her less time to stop by. Of course, after the document came out, the reason she stopped showing up became painfully obvious to everyone. I wish everyone affected by Yaki nothing but the best, and I hope they have had time to properly heal after the countless lies and abuse Yaki put them through. Nobody deserves to go through that kind of stuff, especially from someone who they thought was their friend.

As someone who only discovered Yaki about a month before all this started, it felt kinda shitty to see all this come out. Yaki was one of the few streamers I actually enjoyed, she seemed to have a similar sense of humor to me. So when I went on Twitter one morning to see the shitstorm starting up, I didn't want to believe it. At first it was a strikingly similar situation to what happened with Zaion, another vtuber I enjoyed, so initially I was on Yaki's side. But as the evidence piled up against her I kinda just had to accept that she wasn't who I thought she was. I don't know where I was going with this, just wanted to give voice to the "outside looking in" perspective.

The funny thing about this situation is I’m someone who follows a lot but doesn’t interact with people much on Twitter. But I saw the rise and fall of Yaki.
She used to kind of be emdedded in niche anime twitter with some accounts I followed in the thousands follower mark. I’ll never forget during this time she offered to sell feet pics for BLM, and got clowned a bit. I took it as weird but shrugged it off as good intent.
She then quickly kind of rose up in communities and started interacting with Fadel, Ultima, etc. Around the time she became Garchomp girl and started her own content.
Then lo and behold I watch Alpharad and she starts showing up in his videos. And well you get to what happened here.
I think the funniest thing to come out of this is a few weeks before the docs came out she won the “Stupid Bitch” award at some Alpharad friend awards shows. So that aged well.
I need to watch that video, because that sounds FVKN glorious.

I wasn’t really that aware of Yaki, the only connection I had with her was through my best friend being mutuals with her. They also didn’t really interact.
It is just so unbelievably vile to ruin a relationship the way she has on top of the mistreatment for all the victims involved.

I was someone that was willing to post twitch clips in her discord, and I wanted to wait to see what her response was when the constant Google docs were being tweeted. When it all broiled down to her just going "nuh uh". On top of there being more and more google docs that talked about her being awful, I deleted every clip that I made of her and even had to re-edit a video that I made that had her vtuber face in it as a joke. I do not see her coming back anytime at all.

This isn’t the first internet content creator that was horrifically unemployed and mooched off their friends. Every time I ask, “why didn’t you apply to McDonald’s?” It seems like these people think working a normal job is beneath them. Personally if I had to beg my editor to move in with me to help with some of my expenses, I’d feel guilty and I’d be hustling my butt off. But I suppose that’s a sign I’m not a huge prick like this girl.
