- On 21/04/2018, we took our Nissan Qashqai-R, fitted with an R35 GT-R engine to VMAX 200 (RAF Kendrew) and took the 'WORLD RECORD' for 'SUV TOP SPEED previously help by Toyota at 230MPH with our 237.6MPH!
Massive thanks to Mike Little (the driver), the technicians who built the vehicle (Jack, Goat and Gav), and Romain (Syvecs) for the mapping & taming of the beast!

Was lucky enough to see this at Santa Pod in 2016 or 2017. Was less powerful then than now and even then it was phenomenal. It destroyed that green hulk gtr which is something like 1200hp, even after letting it go first.
You guys need a longer track. It was still accelerating hard when having to slam on the brakes.

that's mad to watch this as my mum has a 2012 Nissan Qashqai ntec+ which is used for shopping (like most people) whereas yours is a car for proper enthusiasts
Respect to the engineering and the achievement, but isn't it basically a Qashqai body on a GTR? If it was the stock engine taken to the max, then that would've been even more of a feat. Just my opinion.

The landcruiser has a engine swap, gearbox etc. Im sorry but this is a highly tuned r35 with a with a suv shell.
Amazing job, agree with NyckLP such a good and hardwok, nut isn't it a bit wasting of time? With this huge focus on elevating middlecore suv, why you don't put your effort in some meaningful car... it would be one of best cars in the world, not such fast SUV which beats Toyota Landcruiser... and it's fastes SUV for few months...
The chassis is a GT-R so not really a Qashqai if it was at least the same chassis with a GT-R engine. Sure they're similar but I think it'd be more impressive fitting it the engine into the stock location, would make for a good video and show to others that anything is possible. I'm sure just about anyone can take a gtr chassis with the engine still mounted and put an empty body on it.

Thats a good project.. But .. it is not a Qashqai.... hope in many years i can have mney to put mine with more power but with the original motor , only changing some peaces... i dont now... mine 1.5 dci +2 from 2009 with 103 cv just made 200 KM/H .. stock! with good material and turbo etc will be more fun, save...etc..... but i know a will broke the engine because it is not prepared for that.. still... with a repro i can have the same cvs than the 1.6 ddci but.... anyway... hope one day see that Qashqai

Nice run but follow in what Toyota did with modifying the engine that came with the SUV not utilizing the GTRs engine. That's like claiming works fastest RCF but the engine is an American v8 10 liter. Not the same. So to keep it fair...Toyota will drop in a 2JZ and beat your time :)

So, the Koenigsegg Agera RS went 4 mph faster than this Nissan Qashqai-R, not because 2000 horsepower is not good enough but because the aerodynamics of Qashqai are far worse than GT-R's. A GT-R with 2000 horsepower would easily hit 250 mph, beating all VMAX200 records. Too bad you chose this platform over the R35 GT-R. At least you have the fastest SUV in the world.

Koenigsegg agera rsn 1100hp did 249 mph after that and defeated the qashqai 230 (350-360 kmh) mph , thought agera rsn can reach 290-305 mph (460-475 kmh).
Please go home qashqai 2050 hp u need 30 sec to reach 200 mph while koenigsegg agera take 9.9 sec go home.
Koegnisegg can reach 400km/h in less than 20 sec while qashqai is at 240 km/h hhhh.

second , koegnisegg reach 220 mph in 11-12 sec while Qashqai in 33 sec .
note that koegnisegg is 1100 HP whole Qashqai 2050 HP.
third , koegnisegg Max speed is 460-475km/h while Qashqai 230mph (350-360km/h).
Can u shut up and go home now plus Qashqai is a car for specific straight line in specific conditions for some Miles only or it will explode .
