I admire your approach to products and to potential customers. It's great that you help illustrate qualities or engineering that a customer's dollars are buying. My opinion: The only cherished sweet spot occurs when the customer ends up being delighted (for a long time) with BOTH the product they purchase... and dealer-customer relationship. Good feeling from your video! You and I met briefly at Kidron Auction Grounds in APR '24 at a swap meet; I was with Bradley F. I was delighted to meet you in person. Thank you, Jeff
I bought a new 4520 Ventrac this year and so far after operating it with about 50hrs, here are the cons. The Kubota gas engine is extremely loud, the instrument cluster fog's up, parking brake leaver is flimsy/cheesey and the biggest con is the debris that plugs the radiator. I run an 86" contour mower deck and I have to blow out the radiator and screen every two to three hours. The mower deck is rear discharging so that makes this issue worse. Love the machine otherwise.
You have a lot of negative about Steiner/ Bobcat, you failed to mention fogging instrument cluster and antique weight transfer. You also never mention price point or that the Steiner family that once built the Ventrac then sold out to Toro. I don't care for the direction Steiner has taken. I like my 450 Steiner, the Ventrac is a good machine no question, but the only affordable attachments are used ones. Skid loader attachments are half the cost.
