I have had this vacuum a year now. I the front room (most trafficked room in the house) every morning when I wake up and every single day I am amazing at how much dirt there is in the cup. Mostly its the fine dirt but it boggles my mind at how much dirt comes in my house on a daily basis. 365 days of using this vacuum and I still love using it.
My wife and I used to make fun of Dyson ads. They sounded like they were trying to be Apple. But that all went away after we plunked down $400 and got one. It is STUNNING how much our V8 sucks up. Especially the really fine dust. The light weight and cordlessness really makes you want to vacuum more often. It's so effortless. Best $400 we ever spent!
Hi guys, would be so nice and useful if you tell us why is that reaction about that vacuum. I was about to by one but now you made hesitate and l'd appreciate so much to know as much opinions as possible before I make the move. Thanx
@@mattchowbeach I got mine today. And I totally agree that it's amazing! Why? Because it picks up so much dust and hair from my carpet even on eco mode that I cannot imagine where it comes from. I had a quite old corded Dyson and probably it will replace even that one. I have more hard floors than carpets and have 2 cats as well. The area to be cleaned is about 200m2 and it will handle the whole thing in one charge, since I don't have too much carpets. So this is my first experiences.
Joe Beach Highly convenient but also effective as a full scale vacuum cleaner. I wouldn’t replace my standup rotary but for 80% of the time, I can just grab this off the wall mount and quickly clean the kitchen floor, a bedroom etc in less than a minute and I’m done. No need to drag it from a closet, unfurl and plug in or lug it around. The dyson is super light and therefore fast to use. Great suction and a rotary head. Sold.
I just bought the V11 Absolute and I love it. So informative!! Can't believe this is my third video I've watched and how obsessed I've become about the vacuum. Thank you.
Using V11 in weekly church cleaning with elderly people here are additional flaws: 1) removal of the long stick prior to emptying the bin requires nimble fingers and high dexterity. It requires a precise holding angle to minimize friction, however due to a high weight of the vacuum this is quite difficult to achieve. It is even more difficult to insert the stick back as it requires precise alignment at precise holding position. A mission impossible for elderly people. A solution could be a tapered male insert (as in the old classic vacuum cleaners) with ring contacts on the perimeter so that no alignment is necessary, just insert and push in. 2) The vacuum airflow blocks frequently. The problem is that the air passage narrows at the exit into the bin, which is the Achilles heel of this vacuum. Larger items can be sucked in but as the passage narrows, they get stuck. Clearing of the narrow exit inside the bin is extremely difficult. Solution - have the smallest passage at the entrance of the airflow. Alternatively make the small exit hole on an detachable piece for easy cleaning. 3) The power button requires to be constantly held in in position. Watching elderly people using the vacuum, it is noticeable how they struggle to keep the power switch on all the time. The vacuum cleaner keeps switching on and off even few times per second. 4) Fragile bin. I am expecting, in the process of emptying, the bin to be dropped and broken quite regularly. Solution - make the bin from flexible plastic which doesn't brake on impact.
Spot on with these flaws. I’ve owned it for 6 months and the newest version has the same problems. I never noticed how annoying it is to constantly hold the power button down while cleaning until you brought it up.
As an engineer and a person that has owned multiple Dyson floor cleaners my biggest gripe is the tool change. Sometimes dust gets between the two surfaces and makes taking a tool off difficult. I think Dyson should look at the tool change being a cone shape so as you pull away you have less surface resistance.
I've recently bought the v12, but am not happy with a few aspects of it. Plus, tonight, the red fabric strip peeled off the small pet hair head! Not good, considering I've only used it for a total of 1 hour 10 mins! What worries me, is your type of comment ie. "A person that has owned multiple Dysons". I see that written all the time, and I don't understand why people have owned "multiple" Dysons. That, to me, would suggest that they fail after a year or two!!! I've bought mine out of necessity, as I'm disabled with chronic illness/pain, and can't use my 13 yr old Meile much any more. I can't afford to get replacing it every 1-2 years though!
I've bought the V11 as my first standalone cordless thanks in no small part due to the reviews here. They're absolutely the best vacuum reviews I've found, with all the measurements I care about available. My home is much cleaner now not only due to the much better performance compared to the old vacuum I inherited from my mom when I moved out, but mainly because getting the cordless out of its charging station and sucking up whatever spec of dirt I've found is just so much quicker and easier compared to the corded vacuum. It removes that 'but I don't want to bother' barrier.
I recently bought a V11 Torque Drive on sale at QVC with the 9 attachments. The V11 Torque Drive (Since Spring of 2020) now comes with a removable battery just like the V11 Outsize, in fact it is the same battery. I purchased a spare battery from Dyson and now I will never run out of battery power when vacuuming with my new V11 Torque Drive!! I really love it! It is by far the best vacuum I have ever owned. If you take care of it, there is no reason this shouldn't last for many many years. Thanks for all of the great reviews that you perform for all of our enjoyment 😎
I purchased the v11 after reading & watching tons of reviews. Your reviews were the most useful, so thank you for that. I use ours nearly every day. Having the power of a full upright in a portable setup means I'm vacuuming far more often and our messy house (we have two toddlers and two cats) is significantly cleaner. The amount of gunk it pulls out of our carpets is impressive / super gross. Our previous dyson lasted about 12 years before it kicked the bucket, and I'm hoping this model has similar longevity (battery replacement aside).
alya hamzah alya the v11 is on offer right now. The v11 absolute is 499 with Dyson. That’s a 100 pounds off and you get a free wand and there’s a promotion to spread the cost over 12 months with 0 interest using PayPal credit. Best time to get one
@@alyahamzah1952 Mine died after 4 month of fairly light use. More than likely they are cheaping out on quality parts and to increase profit margin using garbage components
Now I understand the battery life in use is quite impressive with this machine but I'm more worried about the battery health of V11 after years of moderate usage. I've seen a lot of negative reviews batteries dying even in less than year for previous models I'm curious to hear from people using it more than a year for long time durability of V11's batteries.
baratrion I Don’t know if this helpful, but I’ll share anyway. I have had my V7 for two years now, and the battery still works as well as it did the day I bought it. I ‘m very happy with it and plan to get a V11 soon. Absolutely no problems with mine whatsoever.
Went to a local pallet resell store that just opened and they were just putting one of these out as I walked in. I asked the guy how much he wanted for it and he looked it up online. He said he does half of retail. I don’t know what model he looked up but he said $220. No hesitation I took it. It was brand new without the box. I love this thing. I’ve had from the v5-v8 and this thing is light years ahead. Love telling people that I got it for less than half of retail!
I love my past and current Dysons, having said that I don't know why I'm just coming across your youtube videos now. Thanks for posting these very helpful reviews and videos for all of us here at the Dyson fan club. I just upgraded to V11 from V10 and just fell in love all over again.
I own a V11 and love it ... except for two things: 1) Dyson needs a trigger that can be set to “on” so that you don’t have to keep pressing it 2) I took out the top filter that you can wet and wash... washed it and let it dry for what I thought was almost 24 hours. Long story short, it wasn’t 100% dry and INSTANTLY broke the machine. Dyson was amazing and instantly sent me a new spare filter AND a whole new V11
I washed the filter about a couple days ago and now when I went to use it today the screen would not turn on and nothing happened when I used the trigger. Is this what happened to you? And I cannot contact Dyson due to coronavirus shutting their help centers down.
Gabi Leja yes that’s exactly what happened to me. There can’t be a single drop of water or it ruins the whole thing. You should still be able to contact them.. mine was during the pandemic too and they had reduced staff but were still there. They will have you return your machine (they provide postage) then will send you a brand new machine. They even sent me a spare top filter, free of charge. That way I can swap them out when one is wet
We got the V11 Outsize model and its the best overall vacuum ever. This one replaced the Dyson canister which we hated. No power head, lugging it around with a cord. When I got the V11 there was a special to get an additional $40 worth of tools, which is good, but the charging base only holds 2 of the 15 tools we got with it. It would be nice if Dyson included a bag to store them, or have a better charging base to hold more than 2. When I bought it my wife was not happy thinking its just another Dyson. Now after using it for a few months, she loves, loves, loves it. Easy to use and empty. Easy to clean filter, not like the sharks that have 4 filters. Very satisfied.
there's something to be gained from knowing that even though you test a boatload of robot vacuums, you still use a manual one in areas that would seem okay for robots
Robots just aren't going to be able to pack all of the power and features in that the big fancy vacuums he uses do. Robots are great for everyday maintenance, but not a deep clean.
Okay.... if there is a better vacuum channel on YT please let me know... because from what I see this is the very best. Thanks for the excellent review.
I was in the store today and had the choice between the V10 and the V11. The V10 was on sale, so I got the V10 Animal. I knew Dyson was a good brand by reputation, but it is above my expectation. The filter and sealing is excellent. Suction is great. It is very comfortable to use. Expensive, but does the job really good.
Thank you for this thorough review! Just got our V11 yesterday after the local Dyson service center offered us 30% off for trading in our V7, whose battery had died. VERY impressed so far with how much better it does than our V7. Dyson seems to be the best in the vacuum business, especially when considering their customer care.
Just got one today, sister got one 2 weeks ago (we’ve been both waiting 2-3 years before finally spending the money). She loves her Outsize as well, glad to hear you are too. Can’t wait to test it out.
@@mattchowbeach I purchased my new Dyson at the Dyson store which just opened in Ft. Lauderdale. I saved over $230.00 during the Black Friday sales event.
Thank you SO much for your reviews. You really helped me make a very hard decision. The V11 torque is THE BEST vacuum I have ever used. I just purchased it a week ago and was like a kid on Christmas unwrapping it. I have to add that, to my utmost surprise, the battery is detachable!!! I was NOT expecting that based on reviews. Anyway, thank you again. Please keep doing what you're doing!
For what it's worth, I bought mine in the spring of 2022 from Costco. It's a nice machine, we use it several times a week on floors, rugs, furniture and even coverlet blankets (when dog sheds). With all these cordless, I highly recommend having a bagged HEPA vacuum (like a Miele) for regular deep cleans. Our house is vacuumed with a corded/bagged vacuum twice a month by a cleaning service. I basically used the Dyson exclusively between cleaning services. It's amazing for a quick vacuum and absolutely a MONSTER for cleaning pet hair (if you have a longer coated dog, e.g. husky, you mileage may vary, but it's perfect from medium to short coated dogs).
It's so odd that here in Canada the Dyson V11 Absolute actually includes the fluffy head but does not exist in the US. Also I clean out the container periodically as I like to keep my vacuums squeaky clean.
We have a Dyson V10 and after about a year and a half it started to have performance issues. I called Dyson the first time and they said to call back and they would send a free air filter if the problem persisted. I dealt with it for a few more months and was ready to just ask for the free air filter even though I did not think that would fix it, but figured it could not hurt. I called customer service and we did some very quick troubleshooting. After that they said we will just send you a brand new unit! Even though I had problems with our Dyson I still would have recommend it, but after what they did for me I am an even bigger fan of Dyson!
Love my V11. The battery advantage over all other cordless vacuums is enough to warrant the price for me. Never had an issue with battery life and the cleaning power is amazing.
In March, I adopted a dog. In April, I bought a bunch of rugs so my gal can safely get her zoomies out. In May, the vet told me she still had fleas from the shelter and to vacuum and wash EVERYTHING. While I wish I had seen the original video before buying the v11 (animal... because my dog is, in fact, an animal ;) ), several months later I'm stumbling across this review relieved. I know it was a huge financial gamble, but I vacuum like 20x as often as I used to, and I am still amazed at how much this thing picks up. Still picking up the loose fibers from the new rugs months later! Even had a visit from my step mom who has pretty rough allergies. Between the dog and my wool and down couch, I was concerned about her comfort. She even commented on how she was not bothered at all!
I’ve had a v11 for a little over a year. It works pretty good, but it’s def not perfect. I got it mainly for my dogs hair that gets everywhere. It picks it up fairly well, problem is, the hair constantly clogs the vacuum. You almost need to clean and clear out the canister every time you vacuum to make sure it will work. If they would make the hole where the debris gets into the canister a little bit bigger, it would work better and not clog often. It happens almost every time I use boost mode on my rug. As soon as I start boost mode I will always get a message on the vacuum saying “clean this or airway is being blocked”. Sometimes the brush head just won’t spin too, also, the first like 2 weeks I had it I washed the filter just to test it out. Well, I washed it and put it back on and tried to vacuum. As soon as I pulled the handles trigger to start, the Dyson immediately shut off and wouldn’t work. Ended up calling customer service and the guy said when I did that, it sucked up all the moisture right to the electronics snd fried the thing. I had to get a replacement v11 and now I use two filters. Wash one and put the other one on. You have to make sure it’s dry before you out it back. It’s a stupid design flaw. I still like the v11, but it wasn’t worth the price tag. Few hundred bucks less and I’d recommend it
@@jimbeaux89 I still use it everyday and I find the convenience of cordless to outweigh the cons of it. It’s still a real good vacuum, just not perfect. I have all hardwood and tile with just one big rug in the living room and it does great on hardwood.
I bought one after Your review, so similar age. + Great suction, first day, when i cleaned the small carpet, I pulled 3 full loads of sand, dust and other trash. That showed how powerful it is comparing to other machines. + It is so good and powerful, that I'm using it as main and only vacuum in house. + very easy to empty + Great filtration It is so strong, that I lost 2 phone chargers. It can suck end of cord, and by torque cylinder just pull isolation out of it. - very, very delicate plastic. My roller is cracked because of some debris was sucked and hit rolling brush's core. It works, but it's cracked, so I believe next time it brakes. - terrible air output. I'm trying to use it to dust some areas of house, but air going out of the device is blowing directly on surfaces I'm going to vacuum, so it makes dust clouds before i can suck them - my wife hates it because of the button You have to constantly keep pushed, so I'm the only one that vacuum whole home :D - my dog hate it really bad, other vacuums were fine for her ;) Soft roller, I used it like two times, Overall, very satisfied, I'm glad that I bought this, not robot. It's easy to use, very good filtration, sucks almost everting. So once again thank You very much for initial review that helped me to buy this great piece of engineering.
I love my Dyson V11 of course and im always impressed by its performance but i wonder. Am i the only person that gets pain in the finger that presses the trigger to operate?
Hello! Just to add that the cleaner head, while it does look similar to that of the v10's it has a new DLS sensor. This is our Dynamic Load Sensing technology, which means in auto mode, you get the suction that you need, when you need it.
1:59 I’ve had my v11 animal for a while and can confirm the auto floor condition detection works on the cheaper version. They’re exactly the same minus lcd screen.
Although I have another Dyson ball total animal, purchased V11 two months ago , V11 was my best purchase for awhile! V11 is so handy, so powerful and I recommend to everybody !
I purchased this two days ago it’ll be here on Friday! I did not discuss it with my husband before purchasing because YOU told me it’s the BEST vacuum out there. I’ve watched this video 10 times to make myself feel better but skip the cons because I get nauseous.
Tim Solinski, yeah, cords are so much fun! NOT. So, anyway, I’m easy on equipment and all my cord vacuums have NEVER outlasted the stick cordless vacuums.
I’ve had one for quite some time now and LOVE it. Whilst (ridiculously) expensive, it is indeed great. We have a dog who’s as good as a toddler at making messes, a large house, lots of both hard floor and carpet, and it mostly does a terrific job. Great review!
Good video. As someone that has fixed a lot of V11's There are three weak points 1) The red trigger button snaps a lot and that is very expensive outside of warranty as they sell a whole new body. It is a design fault. Only the V10 and V11 have this problem. 2) The bin runner breaks so the bin will fall off when emptying. This happens a lot but the fix is pretty easy. 3) The cyclone is easy to clog by overfilling, but I love this feature as I can charge a lot of labour and not use any parts.
I love my Dyson v 11 !!! My only pet peeve is having to hold my finger on the trigger to keep it working, there should be a switch that you can keep in on
No, not tape.. that will get all sticky and yukky! Here's a few better solutions, which I use for power tools: A) SMALL VELCRO STRAP - the kind that are sold to organise cables at the back of computers. (Probably the best way) Pictures: www.google.com/search?q=velcro+cable+tidy&tbm=isch B) TWISTY CABLE ORGANISER - need a fairly large one, there are various other styles. Also sold to hold garden plants to stakes. Pictures: www.google.com/search?q=cable+twist+clip&tbm=isch C) ELASTIC HAIR TIE (ponytail bobble) - to make these work you need the ones with a ball or decoration, so it can slip through and lock into the elastic loop. Pictures: www.google.com/search?q=elastic+hair+tie+bobble&tbm=isch
We purchased the Dyson V11 Torque which not only includes the wall mount, also includes floor stand/charger We paid $499, it was special of the day ! Thank you for your really good video content Forgot to mention, purchased from QVC
Great stuff, as always. I bought mine long ago after watching one of your first reviews. I’ve had to get it replaced twice because after a couple of months of use, the motor just didn’t work. Have to say Dyson customer service was fantastic, very cordial and helpful. Got replacement units on each occasion and am on my third now. This has been going good longer than the other two. However, I do notice that on this one, consistently all dirt and debris go past the rubber sealant on the bin collector and into the filtration unit. This has led to error messages saying filter pathways are clogged. I’m now wondering if I should just get my money back. Every single thing you said is true. It’s the BEST vacuum I’ve ever seen and used but a pity that one niggling issue or the other keeps popping up. A part of me doesn’t want to give it up while the other is concerned what happens once warranty ends and something or the other keeps failing. Have you seen these as well?
i got the v10 absolute and after a few months we got the v11 pro because it was bigger and gave the v10 to my parents who said we were stupid for getting a crappy stick vacuum. they now love it and regret dismissing the vacuum. they now use there old dyson ball vac for the pet areas only and the v10 for inside areas
My wife bought the v11 without telling me and I was angry because still had the first version of the dyson stick vac. Well , yeah I was so impressed after 5mi utes using it I realised it was worth what she paid. It deep cleans carpet better than out main vac. It's awesome
I bought a dyson V10 and my mind is blown away. I hovered the carpet after I had already hovered a couple of days ago and the amount of dust and hair it sucked was both disgusting and amazing.
I would like to know this too to be honest. I mean, it's been over a year since they released V11, should I wait for v12 before buying? Whether get the v12 or get a "cheaper" v11 because v12 has been released
I worked quite a bit in vacuum repair (not anymore) and did service Dysons. The battery is easy to change, only one screw. I can't speak for the V11 batteries, but i can assure you v6-10 batteries don't last 15 years. You're lucky if you get five out of them.
Hi, I hope you get to see this message. I have never used a cordless vacuum cleaner. But I am considering buying one. Are the batteries easily replaced?
I have saved up for the V11 Absolute Torque drive for 6 months and bought it last week. It is truly excellent! I allready owned the V7 Animal, but due to the battery pack, which is empty fast, I only used it for some parts of the house. This V11 is much much better, also because the display shows me the remaining time left on the battery. So there is less stress hurry to finish the job. I now vacume almost every day (got also 2 dogs and a cat, and a fabric couch, so you can imagine there is a lot of hair involved). It's a bit more bulky and heavy in comparison to the V7, but overall that is not a problem if you don't have issues on your joints/hands and what have you. The first time I used it, I was up very early in the morning; the eco-part is not loud, so everyone can sleep ;)) I was vacuming for about 20-25 minutes and had to empty the dustbin multiple times, because the deep cleaning is very very good.
As soon as I held the motor, I knew I had to return it. It’s too heavy! I have relatively weak arms and wrists but am used to cleaning and vacuuming weekly. I have a whole house vacuum system, and the device is pretty light, but the tubing is clunky and doesn’t handle well. I thought this vacuum would be much easier to use, but the weight is significantly more than what I am used to.
@@trevorgraham2663 i've returned it. Can't go under the bed or other furniture, suction power is too week and it came with cracked brush. Got Phillips that is 3x cheaper and waaay better for my house.
We're picky and have 13, multiple $1000K Persian rugs in our house. I thought the V7 we received from Subaru as a gift was pretty good. I stopped using my Filter Queen which I"ve had for decades. The V11 blows (or sucks) the V7 away. I get the FINEST dust out of these rugs I had no idea were there. I thought the Filter Queen was the best. Well, it WAS...in the 60's - 2000's. IT's so powerful, I can only use it on ECO on the rugs. The suction is so strong it'll stop the roller on these wool/silk rugs. The rugs actually FELT better underfoot after a couple of vacuums. It ain't cheap, but it's well worth it.
Hey, i love ur videos.. infact after ur video u convinced me to buy v11 absolute pro... so thx for that. Now i vacuum the entire house in less than 15 min.. i have a dog so i vacuum 2 or 3 times a day.. Do u reccomend floor cleaners? Like philips acqua trio pro for washing the floors?
Great long term review of your v11! I have mine since May and really enjoy using it. My high torque head is holding up fine. My con would be the weight is very noticeable when using it as a hand held.
Your videos are the best. Thank you testing all the different vacuums . You videos helped me finally decide which vacuum would be best for my family. Love to hear for vacuums 2022 year.
Was wondering if I should buy one. The majority of the internet world and UA-cam world seemed to pick the dyson above all others. So I bought one for a 4 bedroom busy family home and I’ve got to say that they were right. A brilliant vacuum cleaner.
What is the Tineco s12plus suction??? .....you don’t have it listed. And, the tineco s12plus has auto suction adjust correct? (so it’s not unique to the dyson)
Yeah except the deep down dirt it doesent sense unless u have the high airflow... Soooo... It's more useless unless u hate being efficient with a vacuum.. U need the extra airflow for deeper cleaning and pulling grit from the pile
We just got the V11 Fluffy 2023 and the battery is now user replaceable, so at least one con less. It's a bit heavy when used as a crumb vacuum, but even at the lowest speed it sucks up all the crumbs. It's amazing how much quieter this is compared with our older Dyson hand vacuum which is a lot less powerful.
I have a v11 and the plastic that the circular disks covering the elbow screw into broke and so they both fell off. Have you seen that before and know of any fix? Dyson sells replacement disks which are of no use given the plastic they screw into on the torque head's elbow are broke off.
I love my Dyson V11, but is there a way to run it without the head rotating? I have one rug that we were told we should not vacuum with a rotating head. Any thoughts?
Have you made an update video on this since November 2019? It's now July 2020? How is it fairing? I have a Jack Russell Terrier would this model pick up the hair from med density carpet? It's $1250 in Australia.
I just bought one and I would say definitely! I am in Australia and it comes with the fluffy head now and the battery easily clips in and out which were two of his cons. It is amazing! My carpets are very dense and fairly new and the amount of fluff and dirt it picked up was super gross but also impressive.
I’ve owned the v11 for about two years. It works well BUT I’ve already had to replace the beater head and the trigger failed on my. This is not ok for a vacuum that’s only 2 years old.
Those cons aren't at all scary. Thank goodness, because I just bought myself a V-11 yesterday (12/09/19). A Xmas present for me and my housemates. We love Dyson. Your most excellent video has made me very happy. Thank you. (Now please come vacuum my house. You are so good at it.)

Using V11 in weekly church cleaning with elderly people here are additional flaws:
1) removal of the long stick prior to emptying the bin requires nimble fingers and high dexterity.
Good input! thank you for sharing!
Spot on with these flaws. I’ve owned it for 6 months and the newest version has the same problems. I never noticed how annoying it is to constantly hold the power button down while cleaning until you brought it up.
You should look up for the trigger locks sold online if holding the trigger is an issue. :)
I've used paraffin on the connection making it easier to remove.
It removes that 'but I don't want to bother' barrier.
but do you really need Dyson for that though? How about a Philips?
@@am1d Do I really need a vacuum at all, if you get down to it? A broom would work, too.
I have a v11 and a v8 I Love my v11 and I tell my self quite often that this is the best gift I have ever bought myself..♥️♥️♥️
I got mine today 💕💕 and I love it
I purchased the v11 after reading & watching tons of reviews.
Im keen to get the V11 but my current dyson (10 years old) is still working very well.
alya hamzah alya the v11 is on offer right now.
I seriously think this is one of the best UA-cam channels. Thank you for being so thorough with your reviews.
After YEARS of contemplating i finally got one, after watching this. Thank you
We hope you enjoy it!
That's great!
I love my past and current Dysons, having said that I don't know why I'm just coming across your youtube videos now. Thanks for posting these very helpful reviews and videos for all of us here at the Dyson fan club. I just upgraded to V11 from V10 and just fell in love all over again.
I own a V11 and love it ... except for two things:
1) Dyson needs a trigger that can be set to “on” so that you don’t have to keep pressing it
2) I took out the top filter that you can wet and wash... washed it and let it dry for what I thought was almost 24 hours.
@@delusionsofgrandeur1330 ok thanks so much, hopefully they can send me another too
They definitely will! Lemme know how it goes
Do you have to press the 'on' button strong? Is it really very annoying or will you get used to it?
Wow, thanks!
I do love my V11, with 4 dogs and 4 cats, it gets used daily and always does a great job.
Just bought the V11 Outsize and it's even better than my expectations. Couldn't recommend it enough.
Just got one today, sister got one 2 weeks ago (we’ve been both waiting 2-3 years before finally spending the money). She loves her Outsize as well, glad to hear you are too. Can’t wait to test it out.
For the thick carpet issue at mentioned at 4:55: Just adjust the power down to Eco - then roller spins up again
I just purchased my V11 on Black Friday. I got a great deal and I am pleased with the performance. This is my 3rd Dyson.
Where did you bye it? Cause I went to a store and all the Dyson product there was at the same price than usually.
@@mattchowbeach I purchased my new Dyson at the Dyson store which just opened in Ft. Lauderdale. I saved over $230.00 during the Black Friday sales event.
Over how many years? What happened to the other two? Why do you keep buying Dysons if they're not holding up?
Thank you SO much for your reviews. You really helped me make a very hard decision. The V11 torque is THE BEST vacuum I have ever used. I just purchased it a week ago and was like a kid on Christmas unwrapping it. I have to add that, to my utmost surprise, the battery is detachable!!! I was NOT expecting that based on reviews.
Anyway, thank you again. Please keep doing what you're doing!
Great to hear! Thanks!
This vacuum is amazing. I have had it for almost a year and love it. It is worth its price. I have not run out of battery once.
Great to hear that!
Probably the best review channel I’ve seen. So clear, super useful! Thanks! Bought a V11 off your reviews and love it.
Cool feedback! Thank you!
It's so odd that here in Canada the Dyson V11 Absolute actually includes the fluffy head but does not exist in the US. Also I clean out the container periodically as I like to keep my vacuums squeaky clean.
Fluffy Head AND Health Care !! Dang. I really love my New Non Corded Dyson !!
yes it does, but not with V11 torque
Kalin Dokis I thought that the fluffy was in all the Absolute packages. I have the 6 Absolute and really like it.
@@helenjohnson7583 Nice!
That is hilarious!! All the robots going 😂
Keep doing what you’re doing! Great videos and analysis!
Much appreciated!
Few hundred bucks less and I’d recommend it
Sounds frustrating at that price point. I would’ve returned it for sure
@@jimbeaux89 I still use it everyday and I find the convenience of cordless to outweigh the cons of it. It’s still a real good vacuum, just not perfect. I have all hardwood and tile with just one big rug in the living room and it does great on hardwood.
sounds like you’re the stupid one for using a wet filter.

This was my first and only Dyson so far. Beyond happy...v11 is king.
That's great. I hope you are enjoying it.
+ very easy to empty
+ Great filtration
It is so strong, that I lost 2 phone chargers. It can suck end of cord, and by torque cylinder just pull isolation out of it.
- very, very delicate plastic. My roller is cracked because of some debris was sucked and hit rolling brush's core. It works, but it's cracked, so I believe next time it brakes.
- terrible air output. I'm trying to use it to dust some areas of house, but air going out of the device is blowing directly on surfaces I'm going to vacuum, so it makes dust clouds before i can suck them
- my wife hates it because of the button You have to constantly keep pushed, so I'm the only one that vacuum whole home :D
- my dog hate it really bad, other vacuums were fine for her ;)
Soft roller, I used it like two times,
Overall, very satisfied, I'm glad that I bought this, not robot. It's easy to use, very good filtration, sucks almost everting. So once again thank You very much for initial review that helped me to buy this great piece of engineering.
We’re a household of 6 and 2 cats. I am in love with my V11. The best money that I have ever spent.
That is great to hear! Thanks!
I love my Dyson V11 of course and im always impressed by its performance but i wonder. Am i the only person that gets pain in the finger that presses the trigger to operate?
ΠΑΝΑΓΙΩΤΗΣ ΠΑΛΑΙΟΛΟΓΟΣ maybe you press too hard. I did if first time too. It is something you do automatically
@@Amelonado too* hard ..well, yeah but not for a short time esp. if you have a wide area to clean/vac.
Hello! Just to add that the cleaner head, while it does look similar to that of the v10's it has a new DLS sensor. This is our Dynamic Load Sensing technology, which means in auto mode, you get the suction that you need, when you need it.
Do I have to keep pressing the button while I vacuum 😳

Vacuum Wars: You sir, make truly excellent review videos. Bravo. :D
I purchased this two days ago it’ll be here on Friday! I did not discuss it with my husband before purchasing because YOU told me it’s the BEST vacuum out there. I’ve watched this video 10 times to make myself feel better but skip the cons because I get nauseous.
Thx for the update, I think giving those is really important for the high price segment.
I just figured out this channel existed and I’m not complaining 🤣🤣
Good video. As someone that has fixed a lot of V11's There are three weak points
1) The red trigger button snaps a lot and that is very expensive outside of warranty as they sell a whole new body.
Thank you for the input.
I have a theory that this guy is the real life version of the "vacuum seller" from Breaking Bad😳

No, not tape.. that will get all sticky and yukky! Here's a few better solutions, which I use for power tools:
A) SMALL VELCRO STRAP - the kind that are sold to organise cables at the back of computers. (Probably the best way)

B) TWISTY CABLE ORGANISER - need a fairly large one, there are various other styles. Also sold to hold garden plants to stakes.

C) ELASTIC HAIR TIE (ponytail bobble) - to make these work you need the ones with a ball or decoration, so it can slip through and lock into the elastic loop.

Very well structured review. A pleasure to listen to and watch.
Love the videos and the 4K QUALITY
When does dyson come out with their new V line? Yearly or every other year?
I would like to know this too to be honest. I mean, it's been over a year since they released V11, should I wait for v12 before buying? Whether get the v12 or get a "cheaper" v11 because v12 has been released
@@JohnDemetriou the newest one is the v15, which was released in March of this year. There is no ‘v12’. They jumped from 11 to 15
Don't normally comment on here but thank you for your effort of making this video! That scene of many cleaning bots on the floor cracks me up!
Thank you so much!
Have you checked oput the miele triflex hx1?
Thanks for your comment. I have to consider weight because of a weak wrist that hurts when stressed with weight or twisting.
Update, my mom bought this vacuum. It isn’t as heavy as I initially thought. She’s weaker than I am and uses it to clean, so maybe it’s ok.
still happy with my v6 got it for 200$ brand new the day it came out, still works like champ!
Great video! Do you charge battery after every cleaning or when it's empty?
i was wondering the same thing... any tips to extend battery life?
It sits in a docking station that trickle charges it ...one full charge gives you up to 40 mins hoovering time...easily enough to do a house
@@trevorgraham2663 i've returned it. Can't go under the bed or other furniture, suction power is too week and it came with cracked brush. Got Phillips that is 3x cheaper and waaay better for my house.
@@tagger5538 I got the Samsung instead...far better than the dyson
@@trevorgraham2663 yeah, looks like Dyson is just a overpriced junk.

Great long term review of your v11! I have mine since May and really enjoy using it. My high torque head is holding up fine. My con would be the weight is very noticeable when using it as a hand held.

Was wondering if I should buy one. The majority of the internet world and UA-cam world seemed to pick the dyson above all others. So I bought one for a 4 bedroom busy family home and I’ve got to say that they were right. A brilliant vacuum cleaner.
That's great!
What is the Tineco s12plus suction??? .....you don’t have it listed.
And, the tineco s12plus has auto suction adjust correct? (so it’s not unique to the dyson)
The s12 plus does it better, it only Increases power if it detects more dirt being collected. And the s12 got %99 on the deep clean test.
1:03 you can thank me later

It's $1250 in Australia.
I just bought one and I would say definitely! I am in Australia and it comes with the fluffy head now and the battery easily clips in and out which were two of his cons. It is amazing! My carpets are very dense and fairly new and the amount of fluff and dirt it picked up was super gross but also impressive.
When are they supposed to release the V12?
Imagine how clean his house is with all those vacuums?
I’ve owned the v11 for about two years. It works well BUT I’ve already had to replace the beater head and the trigger failed on my. This is not ok for a vacuum that’s only 2 years old.
$ 650 w/ no LED's and a trigger you have to hold in? Come on Dyson..
Got it 3 months ago and it is worth every penny. Very happy with it
hello, with the next Dyson black friday deals, what V-Dyson would you recommand to buy ?
Those cons aren't at all scary. Thank goodness, because I just bought myself a V-11 yesterday (12/09/19). A Xmas present for me and my housemates. We love Dyson. Your most excellent video has made me very happy. Thank you. (Now please come vacuum my house. You are so good at it.)
It is still good after nearly 7 month?
