This is the Senseglove. These haptic VR gloves not only produce vibrations but also give force feedback. The force feedback is what will allow you to touch and feel virtual objects like they are really there even though they don’t exist. A next-level VR experience.

"Don't worry, it won't break your fingers"... "I hope" lol
what if you have 2k psi grip and accidentally destroyed the gloves trying to crash a virtual rock.
My nighttime VR sessions are going to look even more upsetting.
😅 At least you don't see yourself 😂
@@CasandChary SAVAGE
@@CasandChary you freaking killed him !
Gonna have to say, making them wireless would be a big improvement. Even tethered, though, I still want them.
Yeah right? So curious about what they are planning next. Me too, just want them to demo it to people 😂
Finally Mr. Krabs can feel it now

Remember those big vr helmets from the 90s? Yeah this is the haptic version of those 2050 kids gonna be like: HAPTIC GLOVES WERE THAT BIG?
Cas is like: "let me use my headset. Just give me the gloves."
😫 I can only imagine the level of immersion we will have in just 5yrs. 2025 will probably be a wild year for VR and AR. And that's not so far away
Gloves are neat, finger tracking is neat, Haptic Feedback is a must, but none of it matters if you can't move around and or Teleport. ( I prefer Moving ). So you would need to pair this with Omni Treadmills and you would also need SPACE in a room.
I absolutely love your VR news and content. Nice channel to follow to hear about some of the more obscure but awesomely promising tech :)
I'm impressed by the "finger cranes" design.
It's sturdy and can adapt to multiple hand sizes. It's should be easier to maintain without the literal wear and tear of soft gloving. It's hygenic for sweaty hands.
With the right update an inside out camera system like on the Quest or HP Reverb should be able to see the raw hand position like a controller. A sensor package in the glove providing the same 3Dof positioning as as controller. Then the million other degrees of analog input from the internal glove telemetry.
I can see revisions of this mechanical skeleton design making it into the broader business use market with a pricetag not far from Index controller costs.
For the business user they will want multiple people using the same gloves taking them on and off frequently.
Interesting reading your thoughts on this! Set up didn't take long at all. There wasn't calibration steps as he just put me in an experience and made me stand at a spot where the lighthouses could see me.
@@CasandChary Typically when judging these things the max pressure is quoted. For paramedics, medicine students, and a few other "soft body physics" use cases the smoothness and granularity of forces at the finger tips matters more than the max forces.
They need a juggling demo of various objects including various "water balloons".
If you can feel enough sensitivity to match the visuals of them being rubbery and sloshing around - then we all know the industry with a lot of cash that would want them.
@Cheesegrits the glove probably wouldn't fit everyone and it would be pretty sweaty if it was a literal glove
That's so cool! And congrats on your 30k subs 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Wow awesome one as always Cas and happy holidays to you and yours
so you can actually burn your hands if you put your hands in a campfire for too long. SAO memories Intensifies
Hahaha oh man. That'd be crazy! But with this you prob won't feel that as pain though. More as what I said about the sharp objects.
crispy
merry christmas and happy new year Cas :)
OMG, this is awesome! :D
Your haptics videos are the best
Absolutely amazing
Hell yeah, those look cool!
I need this in my life!
I always wondered if they would ever make vr gloves that could mimic touch this is amazing
"These don't go far enough to break your fingers" Ahahaha my fingers go all the way back anyway
Yesssss more and more AND MORE i need more VR! Nerve gear come to me baby yeah 😎
Very fascinating with the program relating to nervous symptom issues... I have crippling dystonia on my entire left side, which can just jump into spasm actions at random points, but mainly stays at a more pulsating or tremor like state (like phone vibration going off, or when people do electro stim/ultrasound stimulation)... Something like this could really educate people on what it's like coping with that... One of those things should be in every school... I LOVE gaming, but play very sporadically... I'll never get rid of my Nintendo Wii and game collection because I can always go back to that with my kids when my left arm and hand just refuses to cooperate...
This is litteraly my dream glove
Imagine hitting a table in vr with these on
Thanks Cas.
Love it!! But how would you move around in games??
I got the oculus quest for Christmas so now i Can play vr
lucky. hope u have fun with it
Toxic Cipher i had so Much Fun with it
Maxso Fox My turn
i’m jk
that’d be so cool
Well..I think it will be great with cybershoes. I think the wires will be nice in spring-shape and attached to the headset or back.
I hope someday the VR full package will include VR shoes and force feedback gloves.
very nice thx
Thank you
Very cool
Very cool. If they can get that form factor down it would be great. I saw today that Teslasuit revealed their haptic glove it looks stylish.
im watching this in my new index vr :-)
Those gloves look like they can break somewhat easily.
Ya like sitting on it :(
@@TheDragonfriday Or punching the TV
@@VR-jg5fz or put some pressure on those fingers parts hard enough to snap it.
TheDragonfriday that’s literally what he said 😂
it would be hard to make them durable, because they want them to be as light as possible, so that they can maximize immersion, and make it not so durable.. remember it is still in a testing stage so it might change in the future.
Good to see many businesses actively working towards bringing (Ready Player One) technologies, into our reality. 🍕🍺🐙
Love you guys! My favourite VR channel. I wonder do you think heptic feedback is necessary?
Edit: Do they released any SDK for Unreal/Unity?
🥰. I don't think it is necessary right now, but in the future when it's more convenient, I think we would not want to miss it. Also, yeah, theres an open source SDK for Unity! www.senseglove.com/developers
😢 My mom was recently diagnosed with Parkinson’s. She and I both play the piano. It’s sad. I’d like to see a VR experience that HELPS people with Parkinson’s. Who cares about giving able-bodied folks a taste of what death feels like? My mom and dad surprised the hell out of me this Christmas when they gifted me an oculus quest. When my folks tried it out, surprisingly it was my dad that got us bent out of shape. While mom was asking for more difficult Beat Saber levels, dad was the one jumping all over, punching the TV. He almost jumped into the Christmas tree! Good times.
As developer i'd love to try these! While they don't look as inviting as regular glovees with not as much feedback, in actual usage these seem far, far superior thanks to the way more in depth feedback.
very interesting, hope they simplify the design... does it seem like long term game play will effect your joints in a negative manner?
Wouldn't know. And yes we hope so too! It is cool to know that they are planning to.
@@CasandChary I'm just excited at the way technology is progressing, thanks for keeping us informed!
Simplify it down to more resemble an ordinary glove
@@b3ardedragon921 or make it look like it wont forcefully give me arthritis. The design makes sense for reactive force feedback but i also seems like it will cramp my joints over long term game play.
Cool vídeo. Who's Chary?
We got vr smell, vr feel, vr see now all we need is vr eat.
We dont have vr smell we dont have an mass produce possible vr touch and vr view and sound isnt even fully developed to its potential. Maybe you should wait a bit for the most complicated of them all?
@@ZeloticMemes i thought it was one of those oculus gadget that let you smell in a movies or something?
@@tronicmighty8843 we might have started thinking about smell but arent even close to it. We still have to find a way to infinitely distribute it to our brain which is hard with smell.
@@ZeloticMemes ah true
I am your 1k like. :)
Looks cool AF, however I feel it's very bulky and heavy. Will I get some muscles using it. Needs to be wireless and support many VR headsets, not just the the lighthouse/base stations.
I'm interested in what Facebook is doing with the neural interface technology they a aquired from CTRL-Labs.
yes
I love your voice.
What about the weight of the item you are handling ? Also other thing such of moment .
Will this work on pormm
I hope this will eventually be compatible for the quest. Looks like a lot of fun!
Hi.. could you feel the objects even without the vr headset?
Temperatur sensonrs and nano skin materials would be great
im hysterical , aeorfly fs2 , google earth vr ,lone echo , espire 1 in less than 24 hrs and i want more :D... google earth vr is so insane , best tool ever or app as we say
Please be careful Cas.... as I think you are slowly turning into a Robot / Cyborg, hahahahahahaha
But how do you squeeze a ball with too hands?
If this is something like the end result, how will we be able to move in games like, Arizona sunshine? Other than that this looks great!
What do you mean by "how"? By realistically running around in our 100m x 100m playspaces with full body tracking and wireless headsets of course!
@@Piffpaff333 360 degree treadmills?
@@FideszLover15 They're never going to be accessible and/or make sense. I read up a bit on them, and they'd have to be very large in order to work properly. Not to mention that actually getting 100x100m warehouse to play in would probably be cheaper than one of those :p
Imagine how much of a workout this would be if it were using rock climbing
I have tried the Sense Glove on work before. But the system is pretty much still in it's early fase and didn't impress me. It puts too much pressure on your fingers as it counters your natural finger movementand becomes uneasy to use quick. The vibrations are also too weak and don't manage to differentiate in frequency/volume. So you will feel only ONE sense of force feedback.
Wait until ready player one becomes a reality
How does it compare with dexmo?
Haven't tried dexmo but if we ever see it, we will!
@@CasandChary It's still 10,000 $?

Oh, boi, we all know where this is going.
Hi Cas & Charry. Just to let you know that your 5% code for WidmoVR no longer works, I just ordered some prescription inserts for my Odyssey Plus and it wouldn't accept your code "Code does not exist" I believe it said.
I still don’t know when we will get a feed back gloves. Still in that place like we have been with AR where it might be neat seeing people work on it but there is no excitement on actually getting it any time soon.
It seems like it needs to be smaller than that, it needs to have its own software that will make it easy for developers to implement in games and the biggest issue like the index controllers it needs to work by default with all existing games. How you do that without having a trigger or analog stick beats me. Otherwise it will just be a niche expensive thing on the market that has no software that works with it anyway.
The trick would be to include a compatibility mode so the gloves simulate you holding a Vive wand or Oculus Touch. You would feel your moving your thumb across the analogue stick and feel the resistance of the trigger against your index finger, even though neither would physically be there.
@@andrewcampbell9926 Interesting idea, maybe you could fake a trigger button; not sure about the grip button; still no way to do a thumb stick or menu button.
Not with the gloves in this video, and I think even the HaptX gloves couldn’t simulate a thumb stick as you need force feedback in several dimensions on the thumb. The HaptX fingertip pressure array might do a decent job of fooling the user into thinking one edge of a thumb stick is pressing into their thumb (the feeling you get when the stick is deflected). I think a glove with sufficiently high fidelity force feedback could simulate a thumb stick, but until it’s actually shown it’s just daydreaming.
Edit: Developer kit: 2999 euros.. for what is some trim pots, servos and 3D printed parts... even with software isn't that a little bit of a stretch??
Isnt everyone copying the cybergrasp in essence? They all look so similar to that device.. is it because their patent expired? I always heard that having the motors on the glove makes them too weak to really stop the fingers from touching something hence those units use bowden cables and put the motors external.
Nevertheless I'd love to see one come out but they end up going to a premium market and usually industrial out of reach for developers and consumers.
Seeing these things just like the dexmo are 3D printed they should just make it 3D printed to put this technology out there.. dexmo after that route turned into a very expensive and limited reach product.
I wonder what would VRCHAT players do
Haha....gimme dat with my quest 2.0!!!
I love that they will double as my cosplay as a skeleton
How was your Christmas ?
A soft ball huh . I wonder what other soft squeeze things it can simulate.
Can you break your hand by smashing it into the table?
I prefer the Nintendo power glove

Wait this is gonna be a thing?
Omg imagine 3-7 years you get a full VR Suit to put on 😂

oh hell yeah now I will feel like I am actually wearing the hev suit in hl2
This will take vr horror to a new level... touching blood, guts and severed limbs O.O

Are you dutch?
I have a better idea, why not make a FULL BODY suit with small AIR-pockets, should be easy enough to mold a suit with 1000's of small air-channels and pocket holes, and you would FEEL the pressure everywhere on your body, depending on the air pressure in the AIR-Pockets...free idea , right there!
Psst, check TeslaSuit
Can't do asl, no go for me
Let's be real, we all kinda want to try this out with a hentai VR game
Whene you buy a oculus rift s do we get free games with rift s like oculus cv1

I pole dance in VRChat, so this might not be for me. Ùwú

This is one of those fantasy items that's fun to think about but will never actually become a reality. Problem is VR itself is still very niche. in fact it's so niche that i'm only person i know in my circle or my job that owns VR. Practically everyone i know at work games by owning a PC or gaming console. but no one shows any interest in VR. friends and family i have had over claims they are blown away by my vr. but no one has yet to come over to actually play it for more then a few minutes, let alone had any interest in buying vr systems after trying. Sadly as much as i love VR and do think it'll continue to grow. I think we are still many years from any kind of mainstream adoption. Then you see a product like this, that only a tiny percent of already tiny percent of people who have vr would purchase and even smaller tiny percent of games that would support this technology. Heck very few games support index finger tracking for example. This just has no chance of becoming a reality. not in the next 20 years at least.
for gaming, sure. but it's a good controller for training vr. companies can pay a lot of money for a project, ane ability to feel resistance can be very effective for a trainee who is training for the first and last time in vr. maybe even not a gamer at all!
I am sure this is their target.
This design has many fatal flaws:
1. Imagine doing fast movement with this gloves (boxing, etc) the exoskeleton is soo big you will hit it with your other hand for sure.. or hit a wall or something..
2. Not wireless? Crazy.. people complained that VR headset is wired.. not they have to juggle 2 extra cable.. No thank you
3. Imagine holding a sword.. you are too immeressed that you unconciously grip the sword as tight as you can.. that force will break the exoskeleton..
4. You have to adjust each strap to each finger to tighten it right? That takes 10 minutes to set up? Crazy
Why exoskeleton behind your palm? What about exoskeleton in front of the palm (the inside of the palm)
I mean it is a prototype
*r/wooosh*
