I love beef liver but no one else in my family does so I haven’t had home cooked liver since my mom passed. I never tried cooking it because I thought it would be too difficult. But after watching cooking it here, I do believe I can do it. Thank you.

Very nice recipe Mama Mattie. Your kitchen is very clean and quaint. Very inviting! Sugar snap peas. My Mom is presently in the hospital and experiencing among other things low iron. Her diagnosis promoted me to get in my very lovely and quaint kitchen and cook her some liver & onions and gravy. It came out pretty and delicious! Secret for you Mama Mamie, I outs a but if white sugar in my gravy and onions/peppers rue . .it gives it a kick and tastes survive! I am middle age, however, my cooking reflects old, southern school! Keep cookin' and praising HIS S name! I can tell you honor GOD! LOVE you Mama Mamie!
Brown gravy mix in the flour! That is genius! I'm definately going to start adding gravy mix to flour not ony for liver but for other smothered meats as well. Thanks!
Ms Mattie I added some green peppers to my gravy and I had to come here to tell you how amazing that made my gravy taste. I was skeptical at first but you made a believer out of me.
