Hello! Anyone who throws in a margarita cocktail recipe while showing us video is a real cook and person! Thank you.
Very few people soak it in milk, but my Dad always soaked it in milk.
He said don't add salt before cooking because it toughens the meat.
Yes, the milk definitely takes that "wild" taste away. I have never heard about the salt. I'll have to try that next time. Thanks so much for watching and commenting! Thanks for the advice, also! MUCH Love!
Wow. Looks great! 💕 Thank you for showing the finished plate of food!
I made my grandson liver and onions; first time he's had it and I haven't heard how he liked it yet. However, a neighbor man loved it! 😋 I don't rinse the milk off, I just dip the liver in the flour.
BTW....our bodies make cholesterol; cholesterol in food isn't the problem; it's the saturated fat that's bad for us!
Enjoyed watching you cook and your explanations.
Why does my flour come off the meat though?
Hi! Was your grease hot enough? The flour should not come off unless the grease wasn't hot enough. The next time that I purchase some liver, I will see how much cholesterol is in it. I bought some gizzards for cornbread dressing and they had a high cholesterol number. I can't remember what it was, but I mentioned it in my grocery haul. Have you seen how much cholesterol is in a serving of shrimp? I was surprised.
Thanks for watching and commenting! MUCH Love!

I always have a problem with the oil temperature when pan frying.
I rarely fry anything; I'm originally from Ohio and we didn't have fried food growing up.
Other people in this thread mentioned about cholesterol. Cholesterol isn't bad for us; our bodies naturally make it. It's the saturated fat in food that people need to watch out for. The science has changed but apparently doctors are incorrectly still telling patients to watch their cholesterol intake.
You Should Rinse The Milk Off Put A Lot Of Flour On It Let Your Oil Get Hot And Then Fry It And Your Flour Won't Come Off
I just love liver and onions and I like the way you do it and I am going to try it with the milk
Hi! Yes, it had been S\O long since I had cooked this, too! It was GOOD! Thanks SO much for watching and commenting! MUCH Love!!!

Hey Mama Margaret! Have you tried NO salt? One of my coworkers said that it tastes like regular salt. I said that I was going to get some and try it. It's like $5 for a box of it. LOVE you guys and I appreciate your support! MUCH Love! Tell the family Hello!

Hi! Thanks SO much! Yes, Chef Jeff is the truth! I am SO glad that I found his channel. The Formula L biscuit mix that he introduced is a game changer for me. Thanks SO much for watching and commenting! MUCH Love!
My mom taught me to soak mine in milk. Continuing the line into gen z 🤗😋
Hi! It WORKS, too! As a kid, I didn't like liver because of the "wild" taste. The milk tones it down. Thanks SO much for watching and commenting! MUCH Love!
I got to go get me some liver now haven't it in a while this will be a good video for me also great job
Hi! It was GOOD! It had been SO long since I had fixed it, too! Thanks SO much for watching and commenting! MUCH Love!
My mom just brought some and asked me to make it for her, first video I’ve seen about soaking it in milk. Ate it a lot at a after school program I went to as a child
Hi! It takes away that gamey taste to me. You don't have to soak it long, either. Thanks so much for watching and commenting. Hello to your mom! MUCH Love!
Love it! Served mine over grits!
Hi! I've never tried liver with grits, not even fish with grits. I have had shrimp and grits and I love it! thanks so much for watching and commenting! MUCH Love to you and your family!
I love it over grits also!

I’m two years late, but this looks so good.
Hi, Sis! It's ok! I'm just appreciative that you took the time to watch and comment. I appreciate you, Pretty Lady! MUCH Love!
How long do you brown it in each side before putting it into the gravy?
Hi! I brown for about five minutes on each side. HOnestly, I'll have to time it the next time I prepare this. I LOVE liver, too. I just don't cook it very much, though! Thanks so much for watching and commenting! I appreciate you. MUCH Love!
But its the good cholesterol not the bad kind, plus its filled with vitamins
Hi! Yes! As a kid, I didn't like it, but my mom would make me eat it. Now, I love it! Thanks so much for watching and commenting! MUCH Love!
What’s the seasoning you added to the gravy?
Hi! Tony Chachere Cajun Seasoning. Thanks for watching! MUCH Love!
I've never cooked calf/beef liver, well any liver period. My thing is what do you do after you soak the liver in milk, do you rinse it off or what? Im home with covid and I want some liver.
Hi! Yes, rinse it off and season and cook it as usual. To me, liver has a wild taste. The milk calms that wild taste down. NO, I want some! Thanks SO much for watching and commenting! MUCH Love!
Thank you so much, it turned out great! I simmered it for 45 min bc I wanted to make sure it was done. I learned something today
Sister, that looks good and you are right aint thing more sexier than a man in the kitchen cooking.
Hello! YES! Thanks! It was really good. I hadn't fixed liver in years. Thanks SO much for watching and commenting! MUCH Love!
😋

Wonderfully yummy 😋😋😋😋😋😋😋
HELLO! Yes, it was good. I haven't made this dish in a while. I love my liver with mashed potatoes! Thanks so much for watching and commenting! MUCH Love!
What was that at 9:19?
Hi! the Knorr's beef bouillon.
@@mannysmom Thanks. Never tried it, but I'll pick some up soon so I can make this dish.
Love your method of making the gravy… but this way it over cooks the liver. Last thing you want to do is over cook the liver😕
Hi! It was very tender, though! Thanks SO much for watching and commenting! MUCH Love!
Why would you tell us how bad liver is for us? We don’t care just give us the recipe Lol
Hi! AW! Thanks! It's simple and delicious! Thanks so much for watching and commenting! MUCH Love!
Organ meat is EXTREMELY healthy for you. More than vegetables. That's good cholesterol not bad cholesterol. Please do further research. That doctor obviously doesn't know any better. Plenty of doctors speaking well of organ meat online. Must be GRASSFED organ meat. Be blessed.
Hello! Thanks for the information. I will definitely research this. I don't cook liver that often because of what i was told. I appreciate the information. MUCH Love!
Yess liver is one of the healthiest meats u can eat agreed 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Don’t be ignorant about cholesterol. Your doc is lying or he’s ignorant.
Hi! NO, NOT my dr. My friend lost her husband, who had a bad heart, at 48 years old. He had dangerously high cholesterol. So, I thing that, maybe because of his health.
This is what webmd.com states:
While organ meats are highly nutritious foods, they also contain a lot of cholesterol (especially the liver and heart). High cholesterol levels raise your risk of having a heart attack or stroke.
Thanks so much for watching and commenting. MUCH Love!
There’s more to it, sorry. Btw, liver turned out great!
Mr. Ken’s is better
I don't know Mr. Ken! Thanks for watching and commenting! Will you be so kind as to share the link to Mr. Ken's video! Thanks for watching and commenting! MUCH Love!
I am sorry but that gravy doesn't look thick at all .... looks like soup.
Hi! NO need to be sorry. It was the thickness that I liked it. I don't like to add too much flour because it takes away from the flaor of the liver. It was actually pretty thick, though, much thicer than any soup that I've eaten
We all have our preferences; your kitchen, your way, mya kitchen my way, but it's still good! Thabks SO much for watching and commenting!
MUCH Love!
